  • Mmmmmmm... para mi q en el dibujo se iso mas flaco :/

  • Where's the original?

  • how do you sync the mouth drawing with the sound of your voice

  • but how ppl in the past with no much technology used to do it?

  • @you78mas They'd do it the real way, by drawing out each one. People generally still do it that way.

  • @you78mas back then they would draw all the frames of the characters animation then they would retrace them into cells which is clear see through paper then they would put it over the background image and woul take a picture of each frame thats also how most anime today is done also like naruto

  • It's amazing!

    +1

  • Hey man, that's very clever! Really gave me some ideas, THANK YOU!

  • @coollikeafriend

make a simple animation of a mouth, in flash or something (he uses animation shop pro in the video), and edit it into the video using for example adobe premiere or after effects

  • i know i've worked it out :) i use final cut express and photoshop. if you want you can see the one i made :D , but in some of the places it's a bit out of time cus of the converter i use:(

i hope you like it :D

  • This is fantastic Alan. Thanks for posting it as a response. It works brilliantly, and I hadn't thought of animating like this.

    great stuff mate.

  • lol

  • cool man, thats some talent right there

  • That's awesome,man! Congrats on being featured:)

  • That was really cool to see, thanks for sharing this.

  • this was really cool alan

  • Yo Alan, that's rad. I animate the Thad's. I animate the whole face saying a handful of seperate words with different amounts of syllables, animate a few frames of him saying nothing, and string it together. It still takes kind of a long time to animate each episode, only because the settings, camera angles, emotions, characters, and physical actions change every time. The ones that have played so far were made a while ago. Thanks a lot for the response and for checking them out!

  • Oh, hey, you're that dude. The one who drew the flipbook animation where the stars drop out of the sky and become rain drops, that was awesome. Congrats on the THAD gig, Zack. You've done a great job with it so far, thanks for cluing me in on how it's actually done. =)

  • Zack animates THAD? Whould woulda thunkit?!!

    -MGM

  • Very cool - But now EVERYBODY's going to be doing it!

  • Cool

  • Wow, it almost looks like you know what you're doing there Alan. :)

One of these days i'll have time to learn how to use Vegas.

  • You should be able to use all these techniques in any video editor Matt, except WMM maybe, I've never played with that one but I hear it isn't the greatest.

  • Cool tutorial. If being a film/communications student wasn't a full time job I would definitely try this out tomorrow. So uuhhhhh yeah I won't be able to for a while :P

  • If you do down the line FoF, let me know, I'd like to check it out. =)

  • E-mail Trevor, Runawaybox EXPOSED...

  • Hah, my fav comment so far, fernandomares. =)

  • cool. looks lik fun. OOOOO!! mayb i shood do one-a these....c yas!

    PogoFONG

  • Hey Alan, what video editing program do you use?

I just ordered pinnacle studio 11 plus. I am so tired of the limitations of Windows Movie Maker. And there is no way I could afford any of the programs my Avid or Adobe.

I'm looking forward to trying some stuff like this when my software comes in.

  • Hey Major, I use Sony's Vegas Pro. It's pretty affordable and super powerful once you dig in. I haven't even scratched the surface of it yet. =)

  • Ummm....no.....I just went to the Sony Vegas Pro website......$584.00 is not my idea of affordable....my kids enjoy eating too much for me to spend that much on another hobby.

I just re-read my other comment....when will I learn to proofread before I hit the button...groan....

  • Sorry, I was referring to the educational version, which is the same version of the software, but for non-commercial use. You just have to have a college or HS ID, or have a relative who does buy it for you. =)

  • I'll have to go back and look for that version....my wife is a fourth grade teacher...she might qualify.

  • Hey, very clever. Animations are always a hoot.

  • Thanks for watching PSM. =)

  • Thank you Sammi! =)

  • Nicely done!

  • Thanks BeechSundowner! =)

  • That is very cool. I'm saving this video. :)

  • Thank you pinklantana, every "favorite" helps. =)

  • That's awesome... Now if I was better at video editing, I might give it a shot :P

  • Thanks meoka! =)

  • Awesomeness! i would never have guessed that you weren't actually flipping the pages. AWESOMENESS! :)

  • Thanks Melissa, that's why I didn't want to give it away yesterday, but a few people asked in PMs and one person asked in the comment section, so, thought it would be fun to post how. =)

  • Cool.

  • dude.....

why aren't u an editor?....u should really consider it

    -Todd

  • I've thought about it Todd, but I live in a very small town and have no desire to move to Chicago, or any other bigger city. So the market's kinda limited. But thanks for watchign and commenting. =)

  • Thanks for the how-to!

  • No problem qiranger, you should give it a go, it'd be cool to see more of these. =)

  • That's really cool

  • Thanks Steve. =)

    LOL.

  • Heh, glad *someone* reads the video descriptions. =)

  • Is there a cliffs notes version of this video description?

  • Sweet!

  • Thanks BoB. =)

  • Words can't express how awesome that is.

  • Thanks man. =)

  • Alan, you got some skillz! I'll have to give that a try...

  • Thanks sillyputtytastesgood, if you do, send me a link, ok?

  • Thanks, that was short yet clear and completely explained how you did it! I liked it! Thanks for sharing it was great! ciao Reynaldo and I'm still in San Francisco Baby!

  • Hey Rey, thanks for watching. I was hoping it would be clear enough, it's always hard for me to explain things that I already know how to do, because my mind makes connections that I might not be stating out loud, so I skip steps. Like I completely forgot to mention recording and looping the audio of the paper flipping...

  • i gott try that lol

  • You should pzuffi, new projects are fun. =)

  • dont worry i will and u can call me phil if u want
