It's been happening, officially, since 2002. Before that, it was played randomly between the late inning only if the Red Sox were winning. It doesn't matter how long it has been happening, it's still a tradition. I'm not sure if you noticed, but Red Sox Nation seems to enjoy the tradition.

No, I like the monster (who wouldn't for $500 to sit on it), my biggest complaint would be the ticket prices..... Disgraceful! I thought it was America's most beloved ball park? Yea, for those with all the money it is. Go to stub hub, compare to all other teams, you will see what I am talking about. Talk about the Yankees budget, at least you can afford a ticket!
