youre an idiot and your blanket statement proves it. Im a republican and I voted for Kerry last term to get that moron out of office. Ill give you a blanket statement since thats all you know of........Democrats are socialists in the making. GIMME GIMME GIMME!!! TAX TAX TAX
I used to think the National Initiative was a good thing, but now I'm second guessing it. I don't trust the Republican voter base. They are the most easily manipulated and brainwashed part of our society, and I question their judgement and ability to logically and rationally vote for or against legislation. Hannity, O'Reilly, or the GOP will tell them how to vote, and they'll do it, because they're rank and file behind their party and pundits.
Democrats, on the other hand, seem to think for themselves a lot more often. So, I don't have to worry about them so much. It's just the Republicans I worry about. Democrats think about how absurd it is to follow the one in front, while Republicans do it without thought. Republicans talk about how wussy the liberals are, but as the anti-war demonstrations against Vietnam showed, we can and will burn the motherfucker down.
I'm ready for Iran and the rest of the world to come drop bombs and fight in our streets. I think there's no other way to change American thoughts on war than to bring it to their streets. Let their husbands, wives, and children get blown up and shot, let husbands watch foreign troops rape their wives and young daughters in front of them. Then, and only then, will the American's thoughts on war change. As bad as it may sound, I think that is the only way the American's are going to learn.
There are 60 something nations in the world, and America has fought wars in over 40 of them. Americans have, time and time again, justified war as the moral and right choice. Only by bringing war to their own streets, do I think Americans will change their opinion on the morality and rightness of war. I think bringing war to their own streets will make them more hestitant to decide they want to go to war with some other nation. Americans, generally, have been sheltered from their decisions.
I support cutting the defense budget, which we all know is really a misnomer, it's really the offense budget, entirely. I figure, without a military and toys to play war, Americans will have to resort to diplomacy for a change. If the world takes that as an opportunity to invade the US, so be it. The Americans realize what they've been doing to the world, and the world gets their retribution and justice.
After everybody's killed some Americans in their own streets, the world can finally vent their hostilities and everything can get back to normal. Then we can go back to being peaceful and doing all we can to benefit one another and solve the difficult problems of the day.
The problem is that we have wronged many nations over a period of many years. All these nations are silently, and maybe not so silently brooding over the fact that they have never received restitution and justice for the criminal things the US has done to them. Give them that chance to seek retribution, restitution, and justice, and their resentments cease. Then, all will be well in the world again. That is the natural order of things. If someone punches you in the jaw, you punch them back.
The US has surrounded themselves with a gang of thugs, and after they hit someone in the jaw, that gang of thugs surrounds the person they hit and beats on them some more. That person never gets to hit the US back in the jaw. They're busy getting their ass kicked by the gang surrounding it. So, we pull the gang back, and let them hit the person who hit them. Then, all is well. I really believe this.
Did WE stop to think that WE may be partly to blame for Mr. Gravel not being part of the debates? Please support him with monetary donations, too. Money fuels campaigns as we can plainly observe.
Please, y'all, if you agree with Mike and what he is saying and doing, give his campaign some money! Let's make him OUR OWN MILLION DOLLAR MAN by President's Day, January 21st, 2008. Show your love!
JANUARY 1ST is the mass donation day for MIKE GRAVEL!!! Everyone please donate, lets help get Mike's message out there! Thanks, and don't forget to spread the word!
Ron Paul give money back from a decent supporter? Do the other candidates ever get asked if they are going to distance themselves from Jewish supremacist groups like the ADL? AIPAC? Will Obama distance himself from black vested interest and advocacy groups like United Negro College fund and Naacp? How many members of the NAACP have sent money to Obama? How many Jews in the myriad Jewish advocacy groups have sent money to Hillary? How much from LA RAZA? Why are these questions not being asked?
It saddens me to see a candidate who is finally honest and genuine get shut down by the media. They are selling the candidates that fit their interests.
Obama, Hillary and Edwards each were permitted to answer more than twice as many questions as Gravel during the youtube debate. Now he isn't even allowed to participate. Business as usual indeed.
I really could care lesss if we win. We lost back in 1953 when the cia killed the leaders of Iran. We {CIA} is the real terorist. The only way to stop them is to take away their money. Ron Paul says he shut the cia down. and shut the 150 millitary bases around the world. And ending the irs. We as a nation should not vote another drug addict, Bush proved their incompitent. So I wouldn't support oboma.
Im supporting mike and no others cause he has plans to change things. If you like gravel and know he is most qualified but vote and support for another lame duck then your a sell out period!Nobody else running is willing to talk about what he does. Not even "dr" ron paul.Lames.
America needs an honest person in the ovel office. Kucinich,Paul and Gravel are honest even if I disagree with all of them on certain points...send a message and vote for one of these three. I can't decide between kucinich and gravel...
D.K. didn't have the guts to mention Gravel's absence at the MSNBC & CNN debates. He ignored the National Initiative. And I'm certain D.K. didn't return AIPAC's donations.
Mike Gravel is the entire package, definitely subscribe to his channel (/gravel2008), continue to learn more & stay updated of a true American patriot.
He did mention his absence at one of the debates, something along the lines of "I miss having Gravel in the debates." Sorry, I'm not going to watch the whole debate again just to find it, it was very boring. Just take my word for it.
Anyways, it looks like he recieved a donation from aipac, according to the aipac website, and I don't know if he returned it or not, but he has been a staunch opponent of aipac his entire career.
I find it truly amazing that a man who is so straightforward has not garnered more support. Gravel really speaks to me. Politial corruption and the military industrial complex are the two major evils in our great land. All other problems stem from these two. I also put my money where my mouth is. Yes, I have contributed the maximum $2,300 to Sen. Gravel's campaign.
Mike Gravel continues to blow me away!!! I just love the way he keeps truckin' when everyone seems so against him, & he doesn't have as much money as the others running 4 prez. because he doesn't take the corporations dirty money in exchange for passing some dumb law or whatever! He is the man! The National Initiative proves that! Him just wanting to give the power back to the people earns him my trust! I feel like he certainly has only the best intentions for our entire nation, he doesn't

Great speech Mr. gravel your level of honesty is sorely needed back in politics. We have 3 candidates with this kind of integrity in the race,Gravel,Kucinich, and Ron Paul.Yet all we get from the media is Rudy,Huck,Mitt, hillary, and Obama. When will we wake up?!?
Say what you will or may about IRAN and Islam, but, it wasnt Iran that murdered president Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy, Martin Luther King, John Kennedy, Jr., Senator Paul Wellstone, and others to clear the way for the type of government that you have in America today! The BEAST has nukes already and the worst being in the world to have nukes already has tons of them!
If you hear me Mike, thank you...you are what America and the Democratic party are supposed to be about. I know you're fighting for us and I'm fighting for you.
Better to try and take America back this way if at all possible than wait and have to revolt (if, by that time, that is possible.) If it came to that, I think we'd probably see that there are a lot more people that are down for that than we might think.
But I don't want it to come to that (I'd rather be making music than molatov cocktails), and that is why I support Mike Gravel. Please believe that he might truly be our last chance at Democracy.
I think there is a large percentage of the population of this country who are ready for the change we so desperately need. Yes, the White House is for sale up to a certain point (and this is why if we want a candidate who represents the people, the money is going to have to come from the people), but if a candidate were to reach a certain point of almost universal support with the people...and I think Sen. Gravel is capable of this, there is also a point where money can't control our fate.
We, as a country, have to get over the cynicism and apathy that tells us we can't have an honest President and a government by, of, and for the people. I grew up in Reagan's 80s, so I understand that we've let the corporations and the media decide our fate for long enough now that we don't know or believe there is another way.
I would love to see the people of the US have the power but congress wont let that happen and the President cant do anything about it cuz congress wont give him the power to change the way we do things. Congress has to much power.
Vote for Hillary! Vote for 'No city left without a mushroom cloud.' Vote for gas and food shortages to toughen Americans! Vote for terrorists running amok through city wastelands! Vote for anarchy and tyranny and corner-store torture! Vote for the fifth fleet on the bottom of the ocean and Blackwater running Mexican troops through American Streets! Don't forget to vote for your own destruction in 08! Remember folks X by the HildaBeast!
I actually do believe Sen. Gravel can win this election...if for no other reason than I think a lot of things are going to happen between now and Election Day 08 that may make us take a hard look at who we want in that office. There was a moment there (somewhere between 00:30 and 00:50) where I actually did picture him as President Gravel...and I can't tell you what it felt like. The word that comes to mind is RELIEF!
Reasons you should consider donating= What he will do for the U.S. as President: bring peace in the Middle East, bring the troops home in 120 days, education paid for from pre-school through University, empower the citizens as lawmakers, eliminate the IRS & Income Tax, end the War on Drugs, universal healthcare for all, LGBT equality, and much more.
Hear his plans at: youtubeDOTcom/gravel2008; Donate at: gravel2008DOTus
Even with the fear of doing the proverbial "throwing my vote" - I'm voting for Gravel!
If there is even a chance of putting him in office it must be a "grassroots" movement that carries from one person to the next and doesn't stop even when they insist that we must follow the two-party model or we're just wasting our vote.
It has to be better to vote for who we REALLY want to lead than to continue to vote for one of the two that they tell us can win.
I am fed up! Mike Gravel will have my vote. Time to go independent mike! Because the republicans and democrats need some competetion.. I would be proud to have you as a president. It's time the people that do the most talking, put their money where their mouth is and do something. I am joining your campaign as of today in Cleveland, Ohio! And may I say to the rest of you we have alot of electoral votes... So watch out!
its a shame that people wont hear what this man has to say because of corrupt corporations. Ron Paul is the only candidate that HAS A CHANCE to win and save this country. No one else has enough support, its time to face this fact and rally behind him! Whether or not you support all his views, you must choose the lesser evil.
That doesn't mean that Gravel will not be on the ballot in November.
In an interview months ago, Nader was asked if he would run. He said that would depend on who was running after the primaries. When asked about Paul & Gravel, Nader said "one of them will go the distance to Nov." He would not say who.
Yes...and the one who will go the distance is NOT going to be Mike Gravel...look at what is happening with Ron Paul...and this coming Sunday, December 16th is going to be tremendous for Ron Paul. He is going to raise OVER $10,000,000 (yes OVER TEN MILLION in one day. And there will be a BLIMP...yes a BLIMP...first time ever for a prez candidate, flying over Boston Harbor during a Boston Tea Party reenactment, not to mention the Patriots game on Sunday on National TV).
But, dont get me wrong. I LIKE Mike Gravel. I supported and promoted his National Initiative For Democracy 5 years ago. But, he has been out of politics for 20 years, and Paul has been IN politics for the last 20 years. Gravel will not get on the Dem ballot, and if he is third party he wont make a dent.
The only reason he can't win is if people give up before they vote.
Even when 3rd parties don't win, they can impact policy. It would be far better if we would support candidates working for us, rather than wait for the power structure to throw us a few bones b/c they fear the power of other parties.
I think there's a big problem with the amount of money that's "required" for a "successful" campaign nowadays. Also, the amount of time allotted to the various candidates during the debates has not been allocated fairly--to say the least. This amounts to unfair campaign donations by the major networks sponsoring the debates. This should be illegal in a democracy.
Hillary and Obama arent qualified, neither is Ron Paul for that matter. We need a president who has stood up for the consitution, not only by symbolic votes but by true convictions and actions. Gravel 08!
I like Gravel, but you are wrong about Ron Paul. He has stood up for the constitution as well. He has voted constitutionally on every bill and has introduced bills that are constitutional. Ron Paul's only desire is to restore liberty in America, just as it seems to be for Gravel. Please don't put down one good man to bring up another good man.
Gravel & Paul are both worthy of the post of president.
Really? That's good news; he must be the first candidate, from either party, to miss some debates (not by choice, of course) during the middle but then come back at the end. I thought I read someplace that there was to be only one more major debate, and that it had been canceled due to the W.G.A. strike.
stuff like this really makes me sad. a great honest guy like gravel is not being followed by mainstream media. what has america come to? the media is covered by the rich elite, the other candidates are just a bunch of rich zealots who are going to do NOTHING to improve the situtation!!!
Its so sad that the one man who is being honest is being ignored. I have no hope for the future of the United States. Nothing is going to change unless we have some type of "french revolution" in my opinion.
When the dust settles on '08 the question will be put: will Gravel see fit to run for Congress in '10?
Perhaps if he doesn't win the nom 08 and doesn't run on to November then he can do so in '08 if there's a congressional district open that would elect a Democrat like him.
That said, is that an unreasonable timeframe? At what point does his running for President in '08 preclude him from switching over to run for Congress in the same year?? - Mar? Jun? Jul? Sept?
I wonder why mainstream media doesn't want to cover him? After all it's not like TV is controlled by a small group of extremely wealthy elites is it?!
Mike Gravel is a lie detector. He really has the ability to reveal the phoniness of the other candidates. I admire Gravel's honesty, and I am doing everything I can to make people know about him and vote for him. Gravel for 2008!
And they call Barac A socialist.

Dennis Kucinich (2nd most popular on the net) and Mike Gravel's been endorsed by Ralph Nader.
Although they disagree on some issues they are the only three candidates that are honest by a long shot.
Don't be fooled by the Republican vs Democrat BS we are all Americans.
Please repost this on as many videos as you can and demand that Kucinich and Gravel support Dr. Paul.

This is the only man who pledges to bring us a representative Democracy!
We were denied this in the begining to protect slavery.
We were given the tools to change it.
It took us 80 yrs to get rid of slavery. do we have to wait 150 to get rid of the republic that protected it and truly be a democracy?

I actually do believe Sen. Gravel can win this election...if for no other reason than I think a lot of things are going to happen between now and Election Day 08 that may make us take a hard look at who we want in that office. There was a moment there (somewhere between 00:30 and 00:50) where I actually did picture him as President Gravel...and I can't tell you what it felt like. The word that comes to mind is RELIEF!

Gravel makes sense, but ron paul is the truth.
jammasterjayfan 4 years ago
Most people associate truth with strength, that's why the obvious alignment with Gravel over Paul. Learn to see truth in it's real form! Vote Gravel

What type of blind jingo is that statement?
PeaceCzar 4 years ago
This guy is the ONLY one making sense!
It has to be better to vote for who we REALLY want to lead than to continue to vote for one of the two that they tell us can win.
imjustwalkinthedog 4 years ago 3
I am fed up! Mike Gravel will have my vote. Time to go independent mike! Because the republicans and democrats need some competetion.. I would be proud to have you as a president. It's time the people that do the most talking, put their money where their mouth is and do something. I am joining your campaign as of today in Cleveland, Ohio! And may I say to the rest of you we have alot of electoral votes... So watch out!
GJSUMMERS 4 years ago 8
Keep spreading truth Mike! The alternative that could win is Ron Paul. Anyone else will sell this country down the river. Follow the money!

unwashablebrain 4 years ago 3
its a shame that people wont hear what this man has to say because of corrupt corporations. Ron Paul is the only candidate that HAS A CHANCE to win and save this country. No one else has enough support, its time to face this fact and rally behind him! Whether or not you support all his views, you must choose the lesser evil.
I respect Gravel so much for what hes done/doing.
genius3029 4 years ago 2
There is still a YEAR before the general election.
How dare Paul supporters use the "no chance" BS against Gravel?
Don't be too suprised when you see Gravel on the ballot in Nov, long after Paul has lost the Rep bid.
I would love to see the Rep nominate Paul - he is the ONLY decent Rep.
Gravel will go the distance, even without the Dems. IMHO Hope Paul supports vote for him. :)
gmfutube 4 years ago 4
The general election may be a year away, but the primaries which will determine WHO will be on the ballot are less than 2 MONTHS away...February 5th.
Gravel does not have a chance for the nomination against the likes of Hillary and Oprah...I mean Obama.
EileenMacEnery 4 years ago
That doesn't mean that Gravel will not be on the ballot in November.
In an interview months ago, Nader was asked if he would run. He said that would depend on who was running after the primaries. When asked about Paul & Gravel, Nader said "one of them will go the distance to Nov." He would not say who.
gmfutube 4 years ago 2
Yes...and the one who will go the distance is NOT going to be Mike Gravel...look at what is happening with Ron Paul...and this coming Sunday, December 16th is going to be tremendous for Ron Paul. He is going to raise OVER $10,000,000 (yes OVER TEN MILLION in one day. And there will be a BLIMP...yes a BLIMP...first time ever for a prez candidate, flying over Boston Harbor during a Boston Tea Party reenactment, not to mention the Patriots game on Sunday on National TV).
EileenMacEnery 4 years ago
But, dont get me wrong. I LIKE Mike Gravel. I supported and promoted his National Initiative For Democracy 5 years ago. But, he has been out of politics for 20 years, and Paul has been IN politics for the last 20 years. Gravel will not get on the Dem ballot, and if he is third party he wont make a dent.
EileenMacEnery 4 years ago
You may be right, but I will support Gravel as long as he stays in.
gmfutube 4 years ago
This is always the issue..the underdog that can't win, or the best two faced candidate...not really a great choice, is it?
ddviolinist 4 years ago
The only reason he can't win is if people give up before they vote.
Even when 3rd parties don't win, they can impact policy. It would be far better if we would support candidates working for us, rather than wait for the power structure to throw us a few bones b/c they fear the power of other parties.
WE CAN STOP THIS
gmfutube 4 years ago 3
Gravel you are a good man that speaks the truth, It's a shame that people can't see through Hillary and Obama.
032603032603 4 years ago 7
I don't get it.
Why isn't everyone for this guy?
Oh I guess maybe if you have a hand in the pie. Or you're buying it from them.
Just keep telling us the truth, Mike!
And maybe we'll get it. Eventually.
jonhemperley 4 years ago 7
I like what you're saying Mike.
ButterRivaLs 4 years ago 4
Hillary and Obama arent qualified, neither is Ron Paul for that matter. We need a president who has stood up for the consitution, not only by symbolic votes but by true convictions and actions. Gravel 08!
kyeot 4 years ago 11

I like Gravel, but you are wrong about Ron Paul. He has stood up for the constitution as well. He has voted constitutionally on every bill and has introduced bills that are constitutional. Ron Paul's only desire is to restore liberty in America, just as it seems to be for Gravel. Please don't put down one good man to bring up another good man.
Gravel & Paul are both worthy of the post of president.

i like him. too bad that msm is blocking him.
madcow 4 years ago 2
Really? That's good news; he must be the first candidate, from either party, to miss some debates (not by choice, of course) during the middle but then come back at the end. I thought I read someplace that there was to be only one more major debate, and that it had been canceled due to the W.G.A. strike.

Its so sad that the one man who is being honest is being ignored. I have no hope for the future of the United States. Nothing is going to change unless we have some type of "french revolution" in my opinion.
buzkill 4 years ago 6
When the dust settles on '08 the question will be put: will Gravel see fit to run for Congress in '10?
Perhaps if he doesn't win the nom 08 and doesn't run on to November then he can do so in '08 if there's a congressional district open that would elect a Democrat like him.
That said, is that an unreasonable timeframe? At what point does his running for President in '08 preclude him from switching over to run for Congress in the same year?? - Mar? Jun? Jul? Sept?
Love to know.

Gravel is my hero shame the lobbyists and hypocrits do not debate with him!! Gravel for president 2008!
romeono1 4 years ago 6
Gravel has said he would not even run for a second term as president. I don't see him running for a lesser office.
His passion for decades has been the National Iniative. I would think he would return to that full time.
Let's face it, if any of the top teir from either party wins, we are screwed anyway.
