@IdiosyncraticCat Agreed. It's also the biggest complaint I've heard from Thirst. This ending promised us Edgar vs Alan = Hunter vs Hunter. Alan who knows all of Edgar's Tricks and can defend himself from his brother.... but naa... Lets take the epic NINJA Alan has become and waist his potential.
@VilaWolf i prefer the thirst the way it was, think of how it would have ended if alan was the main. he would have died, and then edgar and alan wouldnt be the vampire killing brothers again. and they couldnt have done the fang check.
@TheDeadPuppys Who said Alan would have died? Edgar was more than willing to work with Sam in the end credits sequence if Sam hadn't been so set on fighting. We could have had our Edgar vs Alan battle and it could have ended happily, with the brothers boxing out their issues, then working together again in the end ... you know... the way most brotherly relationships work.

Feldman is one of the few actors who seems to become a worse actor as he gets older. Haim was waisted and still did 20 times better in the scene. You can tell feldman is acting the whole time.
@zeecezzzy Ur absolutely right. Haim was such a natural actor he could do it without even trying. Even wasted. Even as a really young kid he was better than most seasoned actors today. Amazing. He was born to act. I just wish he had stayed on track.

I don't think it matters if another LB comes with new actors or the old crew - there's no way you can bring back that magic from the original LB.

No kidding, Haim could act, Feldman has never been able to. If Haim really had cleaned up his act and had not kept doing movies with Feldman, his career could have started picking up and he might have been able to start getting roles in other than straight to DVD movies.
From talking to the UBERFANS (the ones who are so into this movie they took it upon themselves to 'get in' with the actors) it's generally accepted that a vampire becomes a MASTER when their Sire is killed.

Someone needs to write an actual Lost Boys 2 script, one that's good and one that has an equal balance of the original and a new idea, keep the CGI vampires, use practical effects, and good fucking lord, release it in theatres. Releasing the Tribe direct to DVD wasn't a mistake on Warner Bros. Behalf.

Warner Bros. wanted people to buy the Lost Boys comic book released about a year or so ago. It bridged the gaps between the first movie and the horrible sequel. Yes, the guys on the beach were Edgar and Sam, but as for what happened, it's just PAINFUL to read. Don't buy the comic, you'll end up vomiting with horror.
Oh yes. Just like the movie. The best parts weren't even IN the movie, since they were the scene between Edgar and Sam in the credits and these two alternate endings!

Considering Edgar made 3/4ths of the comics up and that the kid was completely missing from the Tribe, I'd say it's probably Chloe who turned Alan, given the cowboy hat he was wearing. Alan was indeed turned into a vampire and he did turn Sam. For what ever reason, there's a debate going around if he's being controlled by David or if he's pissed off Edgar "allowed" him to turn (didn't stake him) and he's now trying to turn or kill Edgar.

Yes, there will be a 3rd one. Corey Feldman will be the producer and it will mainly focus on Edgar Frog. Corey Haim will not be in it-as of now...that could change later.
Corey H is acting still with about 5 movies on the way and Corey F is also acting and producing and has a couple of new movies about to be out. CF is doing a lot of charity and concerts.
if they were going to make a 3rd movie. This would be a good part to start off as the beginning and go from where this clip left off with the brother collecting an army to face both of them.

I watched the original then & the then this one. I liked both. They took way too long to make this second so they had to leave bits and pieces to wonder about so people would go watch the original. For those that never knew of the 1st gave them an awesome movie & got interests up to watch the first. left most every1 wanting the next Coreys' were my favorite then & I would watch anything their in so hopefully ALOT more of them in the next. The endings did as intended "got U wanting MORE"
I think the plan was to use this ending, until the meltdown occured, as Feldman's reluctant to work with Haim if he's still on drugs & shit. The ending they used should've still set up Allan coming, only have Sam remark that Edgar could be dead by the time Allan arrives, before he walks out as a vamp. That way, they could do the third film & write out Sam at the same time.
Or they could've just kept all 3 as alt. endings, and decided as one being canon when it came time for the third film.

Garlic didn't work on vampires in the first movie. That ending is what the second movie should have been about. The Tribe isn't bad. Its just something I only have to watch once.

if they were going to make a 3rd movie. This would be a good part to start off as the beginning and go from where this clip left off with the brother collecting an army to face both of them.

In the comics, Edgar says the Widow Johnson turned Alan but the only survivor on the widow's place is Cowgirl Chloe, who I'm thinking was the one who turned him cause it's her we see in Alan's car.

I watched the original then & the then this one. I liked both. They took way too long to make this second so they had to leave bits and pieces to wonder about so people would go watch the original. For those that never knew of the 1st gave them an awesome movie & got interests up to watch the first. left most every1 wanting the next Coreys' were my favorite then & I would watch anything their in so hopefully ALOT more of them in the next. The endings did as intended "got U wanting MORE"

I think the plan was to use this ending, until the meltdown occured, as Feldman's reluctant to work with Haim if he's still on drugs & shit. The ending they used should've still set up Allan coming, only have Sam remark that Edgar could be dead by the time Allan arrives, before he walks out as a vamp. That way, they could do the third film & write out Sam at the same time.
Or they could've just kept all 3 as alt. endings, and decided as one being canon when it came time for the third film.
