has anyone else noticed that andy regularly violates people's civil rights and the law in general? not this episode per se, but like when andy arrested a travelling band on bs charges just so he could have a local guy perform for them in jail? or when he faked a robbery to give barney something to do? the man is a renegade and needs to be stopped! :P

ahaha. what's up with the bad comments and thumbs down regarding your comment. they don't get it. SATIRE, folks :) i think your comment is witty and obviously goes over the head of these Palin supporters.
watching this brought me to tears because when I was like 3 years old my dad and I would watch it.. I'm 16 now..but lack the dad.. thank you for uploading this.. it brings back some of the best parts in my life. <3
One of my favorite episodes and great editing. Unfortunately left out two hilarious scenes of Barney talking to Waneta at the Bluebird and another in which he and Gomer reveal the surveilance photo of the 'criminal.' Still enjoyed it though.
The funniest show of all time. Period. Andy Griffith started the satirical striaght man role (later perfected by Jerry Sienfeld) Jim Nabors is really funny. Great stuff.
3 minutes late...

In modern times, there'd be a lawsuit for that trap. It's sad really. The good days have come and gone.

I agree, I was waiting for the photo and the look on Barneys face when he pulls it out to show Andy and Gomer
