warhammer online isnt warhammer 40k. warhammer 40k is set in the 40th century-space marines etc. warhammer online is very very similar to wow

i haven't played warhammer so i couldn't tell you about that. i tend to get tired of games in weeks or a month tops, i played lotro for a year an half i believe before i stopped. you could do a one week trial i guess and try it out.

In my opinion, Warhammer Online is much better. LOTRO is a bit too slow for me and there is no PVP outside of dueling.

I have payed WAR and i played the demo of LOTR. If you love PvP (RvR) then you should play WARhammer but WARhammer's PvE is boring and WARhammer doesn't have as much to do as WoW but its still a great game if you get a kick ass guild. (and good armor is easy to get!). I've been trying to find a new MMO but i can't find one that is better than WoW. (/cry)

guild wars free online mega entertaining great pvp and sweet quests and more missions and weapons and classes on the other games and expansion packs 10/10 strongly recommended:)

THQ executive vice president has announced a 40k mmo in the making. So if you wanna start a new mmo and like 40k more then the normal Warhammer saga then it might be worth waiting a while.

Well it really depends man. They are two intirely different games. WAR focuses on PvP more than PvE so grinding mobs aint fun in WAR. With a group its kind of but still not that fun lol. And LOTR is more of a questing and PvE game since it has such a great story it has great PvE monsters and so on. Im former WAR player, i didn't like LOTR cuz im a fan about PvP. Really depends on your playstyle kidcouger. :)

I personaly hate WoWs mechanics first of all mana take forever to regen even out of combat.Then if you run from an enemy it will chase you to hell and back. I dont even like the UI, and I even get kind of agravated by the movement controls.

I have played WoW and Lotro, and in my opinion is, that LOTRo Is much more better because the Storyline, there's so much more fun in there and it has great graphics, the water, sky, houses, mountains, monsters. It is a great game and I have never seen around a 12-Years old boy crying or getting angry in there, much grown up-styles :)

yeah its the rune keeper. its somewhat a mix of of a minstrel and a lore master. they use their "magics" for major dpe i think i read and secondary healer. they are also lotro glass cannon class. deal major damage but sucky defense

Actually u both are wrong since WoWs Biggest Inspiration was EVERQUEST, most of the developers of wow played everquest at the time , why do u think Wailing Caverns exists? Because they do in Everquest , there has never been any thing mentioned about druids of the fang in any lore! more examples are also Crossroads (in the same zone, ofc ) They have said in an official interview to Pc gamer Sweden that they arent ashamed nor unhappy they borrowed so much from Everquest, hah In Your Face(s)!!!!!!!

Thorog was the hardest boss, but I have been a part of a group that takes him down every Thursday night for months now. No so scary anymore, Balrog in the Rift is the bad boy now!

Since B12 Balrog has got harder, but it takes alot more co-ordination with Thorog (not just because there are 24 people instead of 12).

@12okeiman I actually believe the Balrog is the hardest in the game...Killed Thorag with half the people lagging out and freezing up, but still haven't beaten the Balrog after 10 tries :/
