  • I've been there three times, Easter brunch at Heinz 2004, Fan Blitz 2005, and Pirates vs Indians on fathers day 2009. I HATED coming back to Ohio. I want to go there and stay there.

  • I hope you enjoyed your trip to our beautiful city.

    Go Steelers!

  • That's how i felt when we arrived in the city for the first! It feels like im walking into disneyland and seeing the castle in front!!!! Love Pittsburgh!

  • That's how i felt when we arrived in the city for the first! It feels like im walking into disneyland and seeing the castle in front!!!! Love Pittsburgh!

  • I hope to make the "pilgrimage" myself soon!

  • @jcpassaga520 -- the tunnel doesnt go form Heinz field to the South Side at all. It goes from the Casino to the T station downtown. Its not even finished yet.

  • HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I Can see my house on this video... I live 100 yards from Heinz Field. HAHAHAHA!!! You guys in this video rule!!!!

  • lol that voice is awesome

  • i know how you feel man, some day i too will visit .. and i know i will feel exactly the same..

  • I dont know u guys, but the thrill in your voices was quality as u came out the tunnel, hope u had a good trip!

  • None of the tunnels go under or over the rivers.

  • @jcpassaga520 They do now.. the one that goes from Heinz Field under all 3 rivers to get you to south side in 5 minutes by train.. so basically you can go bar hopping in sside

  • You were drivin through the fort pitt tunnel, it goes through mt washington, no biggie hope you enjoyed yourself, calling it mecca is great, im from da burgh and ill die in a pool of black and gold blood.

  • Great video. Hopefully I'll get to go one day.

  • i would probably get all teary eyed if i see that........when i see that god willing...i am a hardcore steeler fan from california

  • Got to see it twice this season for our last game against the Bengals and the AFC North Divisional Title game against the Ravens. The latter of the two ended up being the most awesome experience ever... just seeing our boys come back and destroy Flacco was amazing. Just goes to show you that Steeler Nation goes beyond one nation's borders...

  • hope you had a great time, seeing the skyline for the first time coming out of the tunnels is great, as a life long burgher i take it for granted, your video def put a smile on my face

  • Isn't that what I said? For crying out loud, man, I can throw a rock from my rooftop and hit the Allegheny, I think I know a thing or two about a thing or two when it comes to the three rivers. Ft. Pitt and Liberty "tubes" both exit over the Mon, then Ft. Pitt continues over to the Ft. Duquesne and over the Allegheny, whereas, the Liberty connects with the Veterans bridge, crossing over the allegheny about a half mile East of the Ft. Duquesne. They both connect at I-279 on the North Side.

  • Haha! This is soo charming. The Liberty Tunnels go through Mt. Washington, not under a river. But regardless, the entrance into Pittsburgh is regarded as one of the best. You pop out of the tubes and BAM, there's the city. I'm glad you had this experience. I hope you had a great time. Thanks for coming.

  • That was awesome!!! I feel that way everytime I go thru that tunnel!!... Hope u guys had a great time!!!... Go steelers!!

  • I LOVE to see people's reaction to our city. It is amazing isn't it? Coming out of the tunnels is the most breathtaking and awesome view, especially at night. I have lived here all of my life and it still takes my breath away.

  • to the person who said "anyone who would kill someone for a sport should be beaten to death" you are condridicting yourself ....

  • that was awesome! i hope you guys had fun!

  • Nice. But the Ft. Pitt tunnel isn't actually under the river. I'm sure you figured that out though. LOL

  • PRICELESS! never gets old

  • see you dont even have to be from the burgh to be part of the steeler nation seeing it for the first time i get that excited every time i see it i hope you enjoyed the our great city i hope you felt welcomed by our people hey we arent the nicest but united under the yellow flag we area nation apart a force of nfl destruction god bless the steelers and god bless the USA

  • This is some majestic shit, coming out of the tunnel then bam, Heinz Field.

  • WOW THE KID IN THE BACK IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO RETARTED

  • Thats my daddy

  • Everytime i goto a game i feel the same as the first time i seen it. Never gets old..Glad you guys got to come!

  • actually downtown doesnt start Pittsburgh you're driving through the Southside

  • Mecca is correct, hell Pittsburgh by far is mecca.

  • good video.

  • everyone watch my heinz field video

  • Go Steelers Forever!! Got 6? WE DO!!

  • Fort Pitt Tunnels on to the Fort Pitt Bridge (Heinz Field wil be to your immediate left once on the bridge out of the tunnels), just a correction for any fans traveling into in the City from Interstate 279 from the Airport.

  • Every time I drive through the liberty tunnel I make sure I look at the stadium first thing... Its a wonder how I never rear ended someone on the liberty bridge!

  • i never knew people could get so hype of something i see like every day lol 4 1 ummmm 2?

  • It's really cool how he say's look over there we have Mecca.

  • i remember coming out of that tunnel i wasnt expecting to see the skyline and stadium right then and there but it was awesome

  • It is even more gorgeous every time you see it

  • Wow very cool. I see this everyday and you don't realize how awesome it is until you see it from someone's perspective that is seeing it for the first time. MECCA INDEED. Here We Go Stillers Here WE Go!

  • @someguy14898 You're a moron...True members of Steeler Nation never give up on our Steelers

  • So true! To all Steeler fans that don't live in Pittsburgh , you almost forget to drive when you see Heinz Field as you come out of the Fort Pitt tunnel. I felt like it was an A HA moment for sure. Thank you for posting this so we can relive that moment.

  • Very cool video. May I ask, How did you become a Steeler fan? Hope you enjoyed your trip!

  • Its good to see another Bahamian Steeler fan visiting the Burgh. I was just there for the opening of the season against the Titans and it was absolutely amazing. I try and get there every year for a big game and so far I am 4-0. Did you get to the first game this year?

  • Sweet, I remember my first time seing Heinz field!! Very exciting!! Go Steelers!!

  • awesome video!!!!!!!

  • "soccer owns football" Did you use your hands to type that horse shit?

  • Correction. Soccer is really called Football. This shit is American football. And yes it is shit.

  • @exodusfromearth football is soccer

  • Anyone who would kill for a sport is a sad excuse for a human being and should be beaten to death.

  • I'm from 40 miles north of the Burgh, a town called Kittanning. I have lived in Jacksonville ,F.L. for 25 years now , and I love coming through the tunnel. It makes me feel like I'm home. Boo Jaguars.

  • its a beautiful thing, isn't it friends? GO STEELERS! STEELER NATION FOREVER.

  • Heinz Field refer as "MECCA" thats cool

  • the view comin outta the tunnel at night is even more spectacular...city lit up ..stadium lit up...really is awesome...how i miss Da Burgh...i still get back for atleast 3 home games a year...the gentleman is correct...Here is "MECCA"

  • wow this is absolutely amazing. the woman's reaction in priceless!

  • Point of correction --the tunnel they are traveling through is the Ft. Pitt which travels under Mount Washington, NOT one of the three rivers. As he exits the tunnel, he is crossing over the Monongahela River and the Ohio river is seen to their left. Had the video continued, they would have picked up the Ft. Duquesne Bridge, and crossed over the Allegheny River. And there you have it: The Mon, The O, and the Al --Pittsburgh's 3 Rivers.

  • @nosidepb Actually you cross over the Mon river...the Allegheny river run along Rt 28

  • There is no greater feeling on this earth than when you finally break through the fort pitt tunnels and then are just dumbfounded by the city's beauty basking the horizon, I've been to Baltimore... its ugly, the inner harbor has nothing on this =]

  • i remember my first time through that tunnel

  • I felt that way the first time I saw Three Rivers back in the 2000. I was at the last night game at Three Rivers against the "Jag Offs." I hope to make it back to Heinz Field in '09!

  • wow i never been to a steeler game and i live up the street from heinz field well kinda up the street ya'll know whati mean

  • Ahh, a steelers game is like nothing else man, I watched on TV for at least a decade before I made my first game this year. Its just wierd being there and seeing it in person. Near everyone is wearing black and gold, Hienz field just has this "vertical" feeling, the higher up you sit, the more it looks like you are looking straight down on the field. The stairs in the 500's are a pain to climb, but the seats are good even in the nosebleeds. Coming through gates made of steel is awesome too.

  • I live near Pittsbburgh ignore the fact that my account name is cavs010 because of the Cleveland Cavaliers being the NBA team near me. Hope your trip to Pittsburgh was awesome. GO STEELERS!

  • You weren't going under the Allegheny River, you were going thru the Fort Pitt Tunnel and then over the Fort Pitt Bridge.

  • I hope you had a good visit to Pittsburgh. From a native Pittsburgher's perspective, I can tell you that everyone pretends to know which river is which.. and never really does. Myself included! To be a Steelers fan is to automatically be accepted as a Pittsburgher.

  • Welcome to Pittsburgh...and never forget, you are now part of Steelers history! GO STEELERS!

  • Welcome to the Pittsburgh!!!

  • love this video! welcome to pittsburgh and long live the STEELER NATION!

  • very awesome! its always crazy to see just how far steeler nation extends.

  • One of my favorite parts of Pittsburgh, that first sight of the city after coming through the Fort Pitt tunnel.

  • it's a very special city. i'm from milwaukee and my grandfather grew up there. it was my dream to see a steelers game - i did it twice- the last year of 3 Rivers (Jags Nov 2000) and the first year of Heinz (Bengals OCT 5th).

I'm happy to see others experience what I did--i have a mental memory of that first "exit" out of the Fort Pitt tunnel. Since then I've been back 2x's. and Pittsburgh is amazing. really a hidden gem in America. great art, food, people, etc. love your video. take care.

  • Being from that area, I thought it was really cool that they got all excited when they came out of the tunnel. It just reminds me how cool it must be for people who haven't done it a zillion times.

  • I have been through that tunnel, it is amazing..

they should've kept the camera pointed forward, coming through the tunnel, you see all of downtown pittsburgh, it is truly breathtaking !

  • "we have arrived mon!!! yeah non, who knew bahamanians love football, but ya know what they were treated to a GREAT SHOW BABY GO STEELERS 2008 AFC NORTH DIVISION CJHAMPS TOMLIN RULZ!!! LETS GO NAIL THOSE TITANS IN THE GROUND AND BNALTIMORE SUCKS!!! "QUOTE THE STEELERS.. NEVERMORE!"

  • WE HAVE MECCA! WE HAVE MECCA!!! welcome to pittsburgh i hope you had a great trip. STEELER NATION BABY!

  • no the tunnel goes under mount washington, and the ft pitt bridge goes over the monongahaela river

  • that is really cool seeing someones reaction to Heinz for the first time!

  • u r right it is the allgeny river

  • @Fighterfly8 The ft pitt bridge goes over the Mon River....the Allegheny river runs along the Rt 28 side of Pittsburgh
