He does a great job on this song, I can remember listening to it when I was young and asked my mom if she would let me and I listened to it for a long while. Great song, esp. by the original singer. Probably depends which one version you hear first. But I do like hearing the two men singing it....a duet
if someone has the older songs like Open up the Window Noah, or any of thier older gospel song I would love to hear them! I grew up listening to these guys and hated it then, but age has made me wiser and remembering my mom listening to those old songs is good for the soul.
One of my favorite songs - and this Scene doing a fine rendition. But watching Ben up there with this Scene , makes me wish , as I'm sure he does , for the great Eldridge , Duffey , Gray , Starling & Auldridge Scene. I'm old enough to have been around to see them many times .
I used to sleep with my DirecTV on the Bluegrass Music Channel but had to change stations because I liked them doing this song so much it would wake me up when I'd hear come on and I'd listen to it and not be able to get back to sleep. Short story long the Seldom Scene do a fantastic version of this song.
