  • Great band; kick ass cover!

  • Soundgarder - Louder Than Meat. xD

  • I was already a pretty solid pearl jam fan, and I liked this song by Neil young as well. Hearing the 2 things at once for the first time brought a tear to my eye. Gotta share an experience like that. I just really like the different octave in the chorus. It's the perfect touch of vedder. (I gotta tell you though.. A lot of the other versions of this cover (iTunes, YouTube, greatest hits, etc.) with vedder being older and using his mature voice.. Not so good.) it's almost like this version was s

  • Keep on rockin in the free world from resistible Greece

  • one of my favourite songs. it's my last year in college and i can't stop listening to this song... IT'S GOOD TO BE YOUNG ! ! !

  • Possibly the greatest video known to man. Actually no. It's not 'possibly'. It simply is.

  • THANK GOD FOR PEARL...

  • i feel honoured to have even been alive when they performed this set...

  • @LifeInTechnicolour cool 'tory bro

  • Maroon 5 should get busy suckin' Neil Young's Dick, because this is the only cover that ever did that man and his song any justice.

  • Grunge should be a religion, a way of life not just a music ....

  • Grunge will live forever in our minds and our hearts. It changed the lives of an entire generation, and we will be forever grateful. Thank you for showing us the way.

  • I am not a big fan over covers but this rocks man.

  • 1.27 and 1.34 .. out of tune..!!

  • @ettorejim do you know anything about music? if you dont study music or have perfect listening pitch stfu.

  • @montaraus '' pitch stfu '' ?? is english??

I ve just that 's it's out of tune and it's true.. STOP.

  • @ettorejim

haa 1:34 is called a harmony and its not out of tune.

  • Abbruzzese king.

  • for 53 people [iminent=DBpT5BgUWfOB]

  • Em 92 ele cantava a letra certa, que é 'got fuel to burn'.

Hoje ele só canta 'no fuel to burn, no fuel to buurrnnn'

  • as much as I LOVE this video, it kinda makes me sad...seems like only yesterday I was a young PJ fan...where did my life go??

  • @sixxychik I'm 42 now, got busy with a family. Just recently remembered I had a life before them when great music was coming out of Seattle. Where the hell did the last 20 go? I regret being too cautious and conservative. Not that I didn't have fun....just didn't live in the moment. I keep looking at videos of the 90's and now and I can't believe how much these guys changed from what I remember. That means I've changed that much too. Oh to go back for just a day!!

  • @ONEBIGDODGE STOP Thinking about it!!! DO IT!!! You are never too old to let this feeling out!!! Life is too short for living in conformistic shells! We can change the world but at first we shall change us!

  • 53 people dont like the free world FUCK THE NEW WORLD ORDER

  • Awesome

  • Now I'm really getting pissed off because I cut my hair :'(

  • well this is kinda different to the pinkpop i've been to last year...

  • This is the only even remotely good version of this song I've ever heard.

  • @dhi442 Not even Neil's version?

  • @agent008wastaken Well, I get nothing but shit for this, but, I absolutely hate Neil Young's version. I don't understand what people find so great about him at all...just my opinion.

  • @dhi442 I understand. I don't like Queen, but many other people think they're great.

So this is the one comment you won't get shit from.

  • @agent008wastaken if you dont like queen you have a crappy taste in music, and they have more songs then we will rock you dipshit troll. poser.

  • @dhi442 retard

  • This is like the best live version of this song ever!

  • This is my ultimate video/performance!

  • that's why I love the 90's

  • Eddie Vedder is probably the greatest frontman of all time!

  • @broomeydbr9 i'd agree, but he spouts off too much of his political agenda live. Comes off like a douchebag sometimes.

  • @mrtaargus1 Valid point, but I just love his stage presence. Especially in the early days, he was just so flamboyant on stage and I think he could just put on a great show

  • @broomeydbr9 i think not... paul stanley is muck better

  • @mlakerman WHAHAHAHAHA COCKROCK FRONTMEN HHAHAHA

  • @broomeydbr9 He is good, but Axl Rose, I would say, is the greatest frontman ever! Though, both Pearl Jam and Guns N´ Roses are great!

  • @MrJamesLongstreet Agreed G N' R are awesome. Well, were. I don't know about you, but I'm not really a fan of the new stuff. It's alright, but it's not proper G N' R

  • thumbs up only because Pearl Jam are the greatest band ever! \m/

  • Neil Young: the grunge's father !

  • @julienmusik29

Exactly! Grunge had a huge impact, but didn't last that long. Nirvana lasted 6 years, 2 1/2 in the public eye, and Pearl Jam have miraculously lasted 20. But Neil Young has been playing "grunge" for 50 years!

  • @Th3UnionFor3v3r There's no such thing as grunge. If you compare Pearl jam, soundgarden, mudhoney, Nirvana etc not one of them sounds the same so how can there be?

  • idioteque at the end? wtf? xD

  • Great to see Mike McReady with a Soundgarden t-shirt!

  • I hope I can do someday what Pearl Jam has done. All you need is heart and commitment and originality and anything is possible

  • pearl jam RULES !!! BEST ROCK BAND EVER !!

  • 53 people is nirvana fan lol :D

  • pearl jam rules !!! PJ FOR ever !!!

  • Love!!!

  • Best cover ever !

  • 53 people obviously cannot hear and therefor do not understand talent

  • Pearl Jam just owned that ! and his ragged vocals were amazing!!! :)

  • Don't you love it when he says ''Keep on rocking in the free world'' that catches me every time trying to sing along with Eddie :)

  • Mataria por haber estado en ese concierto!! viva el grunge!!!!

  • they are the only one who covered this song without trying to copy Neil Young. And of course, they did it right.

  • Eddieeee isss sooooooooo beautifulll

  • All of you missed the meaning of this song, Keep on Rockin in the FREE WORLD! Keep our world Free, so many others can rock it just as we. Remove the pain and replace it with love.

  • this version is very good. I still prefer Neil's a little more, but no disrespect to PJ. I still get choked up on this song, hard to explain. but, lyrically/ musically, one of the best songs EVER written. Keep on rockin'. Aux

  • AND NEIL YOUNG IS THE FAWKIN MAN!!!!!!

  • Love how the children (bands) of the 90's disgraced the "HEADBANGERS" of the 80's ....but shadowed them, cause it felt right ! YOU ARE WELCOME!!!!

  • Fucking Maddness!!!!!

  • agreed....would have loved to be there amongst all the madness....looking at the sidewalk and see suggested videos....miley cyrus???? how can she have 29+ million views and this only a little over a million....WTF?????!!!!!!!

  • This generation is so lost. We were "latch key kids", but in the end, we figured it out. Work hard, faith, move forward. Today's generation wants and expects a hand out. God Bless Pearl Jam and all of us who knew the score. Christ is the way!

  • @gmsmokers94 christ is shit

  • No generation has a monopoly on either "good" or "bad" music...Yeah, in the early 70's we had Led Zeppelin and The Who; we also had disco and The Bay City Rollers...In the early 80's, we had The Replacements and R.E.M.; we also had Kajagoogoo and Dexy's Midnight Runners...The early 90's: Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins; Paula Abdul and Milli Vanilli...Today, you got Justin Bieber and Nickelback; but check out Silversun Pickups and The Joy Formidable...

  • I've watched this video a million times and it still gives me chills.

  • Seriously listen to this version of the song after you have seen Transformers 3 because the main theme and what they are fighting for is freedom trust me its an awesome feelin thubs up so people can see

  • I grew up with Pearl Jam. That said if you think there is no good music today you need to go find it. There are hundreds upon hundreds of great bands. The problem is they don't get played on the radio. The internet however has made many of these bands very easy to find. Instead of complaining about how music is dead, go spend fifteen minutes doing some research and find something... because literally there has never been a more vibrant underground scene than now. Ever.

  • KEEP ON ROCKING IN THE FREE WORLD!!

  • No naggers in the crowd!

  • I was born in 1981, so i was there in the 90's.

Yes, the music was great! But in the 90's there was also crap commercial pop music.

I'm proud of my generation. If i look at what students and young people are doing in Egypt and Libia, with danger for their own lives, that makes me proud of my generation. Also, in Israel and Palestine, the youth is fed up with war and conflict. They want free borders and peace.

It's time for a change baby! Time for the baby-boom generation to retire!

    Peace&Love!

  • idioteque:)

  • best version if you ask me...

  • i totaly agree with you guys here, the 90's-music is the bomb, so as 70's and 80's in my opinion. and yes, my generation sucks donkey balls. But i think, your interest for music comes out the environment you live in. like todays media-crap commercial living, people start liking those noob-songs

  • i believe in our generation , we have the tools to to something good if we use our broken soul for that, i'm trying to do that

  • "são vocês que nós apreciamos, muito obrigado pearl jam"

  • i would hate to be in the band who has to follow that! wow

  • was there ...my first festival ...was the best ever...pearl jam unbelievable set :-)

  • PLEASE READ !!!

okay .. I've had enough of this !! people keep saying that the 00s generation sucks and listens to loud noisy shit. well let me tell you something, in the 90s they said the 80s were better, in the 80s they said the 70s were better, and someday people will be listening to today's music and enjoy the 00s music as I'm enjoying this song right now...........

  • @istheshit1227 I agree. Growing up in the 1980s, I remember we looked back to the late 60s (not the 70s, which were thought to be even more lame!). The late 1980s were a bit of a desert when it comes to rock. The early 1990s grunge felt new, original, and way better than the LA hair bands that they replaced.

  • @istheshit1227 Yeah, you're exactly right, because there's a nostalgia filter applied to every decade where all the shit gets forgotten and the good stuff is played for eternity. I mean, come on. The 90s was the decade of Kids Bop, Aaron Carter, Britney Spears, Christina Agulera, and other shit. And what did we take from it? Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, and other great bands. It's gonna be fun watching people years from now talking about great 00s music and how shit modern music is.

  • Rockin' In The Free World

  • yeah, white people!

  • i wish i was there, although i was the kid at virgin fest that Eddie addressed right before better man =D

    Biggest Grunge-Band ever!

Keep on rockin in our world!

  • 20 yrs Pearl Jam. And they're stillwith us. Thank God. Or so ...

    Biggest Grunge-Band ever!

Keep on rockin in our world!

  • This song...i cannot describe it with words, all i will say is EPIC!!!

  • whatever happened to rockin in the free world?

  • clássico...

  • My generation is not worth anything ...

I would give anything to have gone to that concert ...

Why today's kids listen to all those shitty little songs?

    This is music!!

If you believe your generation is also a shit do thumb up

  • @MrGuitarElectric I think you're a fag

  • @ChrisWales22 I think u don´t think -.-

  • @MrGuitarElectric totally agree with your comment

  • @MrGuitarElectric

I was born in 1973 and I can assure you that they were a lot of shitty music during the 80's and 90's to. You just made the good choice by listening to rock music ! So keep on rocking ;)

  • @gnakolud but now shit music dominates every single corner of the planet

  • @MrGuitarElectric

pearl jam still exists :) but i know the feeling, I would live the rest of my live under a bridge to see guns n roses (like the band they where 20 years back) in wembley or something like that.. :)

  • @MrGuitarElectric so go make some music.

  • @MrGuitarElectric I love you for saying this. I was starting to think I was the only one.

  • @MrGuitarElectric As long as YOU like this kind of music...YOUR worth something.Yes kids dont have it as good as we did.It was simple...and it was pure.

  • @MrGuitarElectric yes i am a kid MrGuitarElectric but i love this music!!!! this is real art!!!!! grunge is not dead!!!! mi generation listen shit!!! this is music!!!

  • @MrGuitarElectric We're being controlled by the fascist pop over lords " Justin Bieber and Rebecca Black " Song's have no meaning now'adays. Singing about which fucking seat to take? What the fuck. This is music, this is art, this is grunge. I am proud to say I'm 16 and I'm not a part of this sick pop empowerement. I am proud to say I'm 16 and I've seen Pearl Jam live twice. Fuck Bieber and Rebecca Black. This is what music should be.
