"my so-called life" aired originally when I was a teenager...but it wasn't until years later that I realized just how much we were shortchanged by abc when they cut short its "life" without so much as a goodbye...

People love this show because it outrightly displays every insecurity we've ever felt in at least one point of our life. Not just in Angela, but all the characters making it just so like real.

Best show, ever, on the planet. Yes, Freaks & Geeks is a close second; Daria, third. But My So-Called Life is, by far, the best. I watch this all of the time. Watched this when it first aired... I was 11. Watched it when it went overload on MTV. Now, on YouTube. I felt like Angelica and did my hair like Raynie. Eyeliner, like Rickie. Brings back so many memories. Whee!

OMG, I love the "being myself" quote. I actually put it in a blog once in this essay I wrote about "identity."

That show was amazing! All of her inner thoughts are what made the show so great.

It reminds me of when I was that age and I was so introspective.

It's funny how she has those thoughts about "thinking too much." I never saw that episode.
