  • 楽器の音色をまねすることより、ボーカルの音色をまねすることがよほど難しいでしょう。一般人より凄いと思うが、個人的に応援します

  • fantastic cover

  • It's basically the same thing.

  • Lol, did I just witness someone comparing X Japan to Visual Kei? Now I know you were commenting on this band, but they are forming their look around X's late 80's look. Visual Kei was not around then; X Japan was spawned from an easternized interpretation of glam. X Japan are in NO WAY a Visual Kei band. Learn about music, thanks.

  • It's basically the same thing.

  • *clears throat* X-Japan ARE INDEED visual kei/shock, they even claim to be so. Sure later stages of X are not but I assure you they made VK famous.

  • Stormvermin, it looks like you need to take your own advice.

  • How can you say X wasn't a VK band? They helped spawn the genre along with Color and D'erlanger (along with Buck-Tick in my opinion).

X wasn't an easternized version of glam. VK and glam pretty much grew up over the same time, and X was in NO WAY a Japanese version of glam.

Learn your history before spouting out at other people.

  • Actually guys Stormvermin is right.X-Japan are NOT Visual Kei they're glam.Yoshiki produced visual kei bands like Luna Sea and Dir en grey, but that's all. They just helped to promote the genre but they were not part of it at all.Malice Mizer,Luna Sea,Kuroyume,Baiser,Lareine,D'erlanger, those are Visual Kei Bands, because they have a strong gothic influence which X-Japan did not have.

  • Having a gothic influence does make a band visual kei. The whole notion behind VK was to shock and add visuals to your music. Where do you get your facts?

X is not a VK band NOW, they dropped their visuals I would say in...1993 but they were, in fact, a visual kei band. Yoshiki himself has said he helped bring the genre about and does not want to see it die out.

  • Uh, no. X was never a Visual Kei band. They gave birth to the genre, but it was not their intent to create such a genre in the first place.

Their influence was from glam rock. Get a fuckin' brain, perhaps.

  • Actually the influence was from Kabuki theatre and the gothic scene in France that was rising up at the time. And KISS, but I shouldn't have to mention that. Nor should I have to mention Glam wasn't established well enough by the time X was popular in the indie scene where they dressed even more elaborately than you see being mimicked here.

  • Take a good fucking look at the Blue Blood album cover. IDIOT.
