  • all i drink is Belgian Ales and I live in the states. I hate bud light and all the other crap we have

  • i must taste westvleteren!! i live in belgium so i am lucky :p

  • stella is great beer, i didnt really like duvel and hoegaarden.

duvel is very malty, and hoegaarden is hard to tell, but i dont like it even if i try to

  • The Belgians are the grand master overlords of beer.

  • Leffe "Radieuse" and "Triple" are my favorite :) a little bit strong, but soo good ...

  • oh my Goodness i needo try that beer without the label.

  • 2 words, STELLA ARTOIS, nuf said

  • @ServantOfChristendom fuck nah bud, have yu ever tried leffe? zatac? zywiec? tyskie? stella i think has become so popular that they started to make it here in molson plants, kuz importing it would just cost to much. stella to me now a days taste like any other canadian beer, they fucked around with the recepies for sure these fucking cakers.

  • @david292978 A real Stella taste like HEAVEN, it would be a shame if they are changing the recepies. You should come to Belgium and taste a Stella Artois, it's amazing. It's magic, Leffe, ofcourse I tried it, Blonde or Brown, not the same, and it's lovely too, but not as Stella. Come to Belgium and tell me again it taste like any other canadian beer!

  • @ServantOfChristendom lol im not encouraging any one to drink canadian beer, canadian beer i think quite possiboly might be the worst in the world, im just saying that here in canada the stella just doesnt taste the way a belgium beer should taste.

  • @david292978 A Stella Artois in Belgium is the best, I should send a mail to InBev, it would be a shame if they're changing thing the Stella in Canada, in NY you can find real stella's for sure, Paris is full of it too, and ofcourse Belgium, you can't get it cheaper, you can't get it better! Try a BELGIAN Stella, and tell me the same as you just did. It's the beer of the Gods! Heineken or Stella?

  • @ServantOfChristendom you must not drink a lot beer... stella is sodapop with alcohol.

  • @ServantOfChristendom Oh come, Stella is NOT a beer Belgium should be proud of. It's a standard pilsner you can find hundreds of. There isn't a single beer expert that would call Stella an exceptional beer. The strength of Belgian beer lies in the small breweries, not the hugely industrially produced ones like Stella or Leffe.

  • @Tr1ploid That's true, an expert wouldn't call Stella a great beer, but all those experts, ok. But when you say it's just a standard pils, than you're so *** wrong. Oh God, a Stella Artois is the best you can get! It's the people's choice, a good Stella from Leuven, Belgium tastes like heaven, and everybody who has ever been there, and had a Stella on a sunny day at the Grand Place will agree with me! Stella is unique!

  • @ServantOfChristendom Pour Stella in a trappist glass, smell the aroma that comes out and tell me again its a good beer.

  • @Tr1ploid Oh God. Ok, you're the guy who tastes beers, gives them a score, great life you got! I'm not joking, beertasting is a great job. BUT c'mon. This is so nonsense: a Stella is just a 'normal' pils, it's not, it's heaven, ask all the people who ever drunk a cold Stella on a hot sunny day. If I drink beer, I'm not thinking like, a professional beer taster wouldn't recommand this.. I'm choosing because of how it tastes like, and you probably never drunk a Stella if you claim this!

  • @ServantOfChristendom I am a Belgian college student, not a hobby beer taster. I've drunk hundreds of stella's and even visited the actual brewery (Inbev) in Leuven. Stella is average because it is mass produced and as such uses added maize for fermentation, resulting in a thinner body. If you try smaller brands you will clearly see the difference. Besides anyone tasting any cold pilsner on a hot sunny day on a nice terrace will say it tastes like heaven.

  • @Tr1ploid I'm Belgian too. If you really claim this, than this is purely your taste!

  • @ServantOfChristendom I'm not the one making exuberant claims about taste here.

  • @Tr1ploid Do you really want to argue about 'the best beer'?

  • @ServantOfChristendom All I can say about that, is that saying Stella is the best beer in the world, is like saying big macs are the best food in the world. Sure, if you really think so, go ahead and eat lots of them, but don't start proclaiming it in the comment section of a video about three star restaurants, because it's almost insulting to the people who put their real hearts in their products, unlike the giant corporation that is mass producing your favorite thing.

  • @Tr1ploid I'm not even saying Stella is the best beer in the world, I'm saying it's my favourite (for parties, at work) I haven't tasted all the Belgian beers yet, and I'm sure this counts for you too. Stella is my favourite, and let's keep it with that. I'm not in the mood to argue. So, you'll probably right about this, but it's just my favourite!

  • @ServantOfChristendom I am Belgian and Stella Artois is anything but a great beer I mean it 's just a little beer like Jupiler and the like. You really need to try other beers. Stella is nothing special try a Duvel or a Chimay or a Cyney you will know the difference.

  • @xgentis I know a Chimay is great, but I'm young, and I'll drink a Chimay on my old day. Stella is much lighter compared to a Chimay or Duvel. Stella is a drink, Duvel etc. are real beers you're drinking because it's a good beer. But when I am in Leuven, I'll always order a Stella (I live there :p)

  • @ServantOfChristendom I am young to and saying Stella is a great beer is false it's like saying Jupiler or Maes is a great beer.

  • @xgentis stella artois, maes, jupiler. are beers you drink on a party. or a group event.

leffe, duvel, ect... are beers you drink on a café or at home...

  • i like shock top yum:)

  • Cara!! :D

    Nee.. grapje :)

  • i sure am proud of my little country for making wonderful beer!

  • i'm from belgium .. and i only drink duvel, jupiler, christal alken, palm, kriek lindemans and mazoet , but i love the heavy alcohol stuf =D

  • @wonkeytjuuuh yup same

  • @wonkeytjuuuh yup goe gezegd

  • I've got an empty crate of westvleteren in my garage, this reminds me, I need to bring it back once...

  • so many Belgian beers are good, I couldn't choose a best one

  • OKTOBERFEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. I might have mixed that up with Germany

  • Orval is the best belgian beer. :-))

  • Ahhh Belgian beers!!! Excellent!!!

Beer and fries are the paste which holds the Belgian nation together, because both Flemish and Walloons make excellent beers and fries (frites or fritjes if you prefer).

But when it comes to Pils and Lager I prefer the beers from my home country, Luxembourg!!!

  • One a day like an apple, ok with that, rasberry is very good.

  • It must suck to be you and have to work for minimum wage you fuck'n flunky.

  • Beer tour in Belgium.....ROTFLMAO! Every good College frat boy knows that you can make beer with water, a stolen bag of horse feed, and yeast.

  • @dvdfrnzwbr That's how Americans make beer. Belgians however have mastered the art of making beer that doesn't taste like piss.

  • donkere grimbergen van't en duvel mmmMMMM

  • Duvel, Queen of Beer.

  • Merry beermas!

  • shit i'd be drunk by noon, where do you sign up?

  • A few Duvels is all a guy ever needs :)

  • belgian beer is my fucking favorite... nothing compares seriously.

  • Ok, this video convinced me to go down to my garage and get one of my Westy 12's!

  • Hi, Gordon!

(I hope to make the pilgrimage to Belgium some day)

  • i have 3 bottles of the westvleteren 12

  • I have 2 boxes of the westvleteren 12 ...

  • youre a freakin tank arent u....nah just a faggot

  • jalous? It's a big deal, those 2 boxes need to last for a year.

  • ja jupiler is zo veel beter

  • Belgian beer certainly is the best! ! ! ! !

  • fuck going on tour, i live here!!! :D i love my country, we've hadend had a real gouverment for the past year but we have beer!!! that's why nobody cares.... love belgian beer, fuck the rest!

  • apparently most non-belgians care more about the communal problems in belgium than most belgians do... laat het maar belopen, zeg ik.

besides, we have plenty of governments, 7 to be exact. it's only the federal one that keeps falling every year (because, let's be honest, there is no reasoning with the francophones and their superiority complex). imo we should just split up the country and move on with our lives.

  • Belgian beer is the best! Luckily it's my country!

PS: Francophone superiority? Isn't it the other way around? Flemish people want to split the country in half because they make more money than us the wallons and because there was only one national language (french) decades ago! We french speaking belgian like our country like it is! (Take a look at the last election Vlaams belang Vs. FN.)

  • yeah well, considering that the francophones in belgium are the single most protected minority in europe and have veto rights over the majority, all the while getting billions from flanders... then yeah, i would probably be pro-belgian, too. and yes, this country was built on francophone elitism, not that long ago the majority flemish didn't even have the same rights as the francophones.

but i get it, you get all your info from le soir...

  • @liedeca The Walloons do get billions from Flanders each year. However, claiming all of Flanders want to split Belgium is plain wrong. Only a minority wants to see Belgium split in Flanders. The media just makes it look like the majority, as usual. Personally, I love Flanders, but I also love Belgium, I don't want it to split. And trust me, it won't. And if the Walloons weren't so scared that it would, then we wouldn't even have a political crisis right now.

  • I've been on a beer tour in Belgium! They really do have the best beers in the world.

  • Viva Orval

  • duvel rulez!

  • That's the spirit,

At some point in my life i was sitting on a terrace with some friends and we were ordering some beers (in belgium). One guy wanted a kriek but his friend told him it was a women's beer.

He asked me if that was true (for reasons unkown)

I told him, yeah.. it is mostly drunk by women.

The waiter comes around for our orders, this guy looks at me shiftly and ends up ordering a Leffe.

There was only one thing left for me to say:

    "I'll have a Kriek, please"

    Just to make a point

  • If you want beer, Belgium is the right place to go. I live here and haven't tried half of what is out there.

  • Yes Belgiumj is the Mecca of beer! I love the Trappist and Abbey beers that come from there. Chimay, Orval, Leffe (the brune is my favourite) De Koninck, etc. I will have to go on the beer tour there some day!

  • you should try Duvel, the best beer in my opinion!

  • I tried Duvel two years ago. I remember that I liked it very much. Because of you I will order some Duvel the next time I go out for beer. Cheers! ;o)

  • Netherlands beer is not good

  • Hoegaarden Love that Belgisch biere

Netherlands and Belgian beer the worlds best brewed beers bow down to us.

  • der gaat niks boven een goei bolleke

  • Belgium have more than 500 beers! (and the best)

  • actually, more like a 1000 but many of those are seasonal or festival beers, only brewed on special occassions.

  • ehhhh, sorry wrong button...

As I was saying, Krieks can train your tasteglands to allow the more bitter beers easier.

For someone who never tasted a Trappist before, the taste can be quite foul. It is like learning to appreciate oysters. Some people get sick from em, while others are would be found willing to trade their wives to taste it again.

  • Kriek is the no.1! It's just wonderful.

  • Kriek is conidered a women"s beer by most Belgians.

Men tend, to a^reciate the darker, more bitter beers better.

    Drinking a few Kriek's c

  • sure, but it's still a great little beer imo. i didn't like beer at all until i tried a kriek, i worked my way up from there. now i love duvel!

  • I'm a Belgian and I drink a Lindemans beer with great pleasure. Those stuff about women and boy beers are for kids having still difficulty with their identity. When you get older you simply drink what you like. (and I love Orval too)

  • and yes westvletern is the best beer

  • why monks!?

  • Why monks? What for a question is that, because they made that beer maybe? Why do I like to go to the footbal? no reason

  • monks discovered the process offffff...

"fermentation" (had to look it up to be sure it translates to english that way. Yep, it does)

There you have it.. That is why we still pay ridiculous prices to get our hands on certain 'aged' alcohol.

Be it beer, wine, scotch or other.

    There's your Belgian answer.

  • Thanks, I appreciate your answer.

  • Saying all beer tastes the same is like saying all people look the same...

Sure... all beer is made from the same four general (primary) ingredients... malt, hops, water, and yeast. But it's the variations of those four ingredients, as well as flavor additives and spices... that create a vast array of beer variations.

  • wahaha, don't speak if you don't know what you are speaking of. Ever drunk more then 5 different sortes of Belgian beer? I don't think so: Belgian beer is knowen for his different tastes: jupiler tastes different then kriek, krie taste different then chimay, chimay tastes differen then kasteelbier, kasteelbier tastes differnt then leffe Blond, leffe Blond tastes different then leffe brown, leffe brown tastes different then rodenback, should I go on?

  • jamesm273, you are obviously not a true beer drinker if you think they are all the same.

  • Chimay, Petrus and Tongerlo! the best beers I've ever seen!

  • Westvleteren is numerber 1! But i like the fruitbeers also.

  • Yeah, but that's a very exclusive beer, no?

  • haha, welcome to my life!!!

  • Duvel.. that stuff should come with a pentagram.

  • I am from Belgium and it can be what you say I am not chauvinistic. But my neighbor a rich furniture guy from 75+ has a german wife and says the dark brown castle beers you can't find those in germany or not the same quality... I don't drink allot of beer I am a juice guy lol^_^

  • Westmalle Dubbel is the best - even better then Westvleteren !

  • A good West - Vleteren, Duvelke or a Vedett is always welcome with me :D...

  • i live in belgium and i think the best beer we have is a westmalle triple but i like the orvals too, of een maeske kan der ook alttyd goed in e manne :)

  • Lol, maes is one of the worst beers in the world!

  • maes is festival bier e jong

    ken u termen :p

  • lol , i got 4westvleteren trappists today from a friend who came to have dinner
