To be honest,I don't think AC/DC is heavy metal at all,it's a dumb explanation,but I don't think they "pushed that far" from simple blues-based hard rock,the other bands are ok I guess,of course, a few that I like myself are missing,but hey,everyone has his opinion,right?
@rocconrollo Well they were considered Heavy Metal DURING the 1970s, and that's my criterion for this list. Do I consider them Metal as to what the definition of Metal is now? Of course not.
@karlmoles65 I know of course that you must consider what Metal meant at that time but still they do not sound enough "heavy" to me..well,maybe you don't even know them so it's perfectly understandable that they weren't on the list,Sir Lord Baltimore,Dust,Leaf Hound are three very cool bands that you must check,really heavy stuff...about the AC/DC issue,I guess that much of my opinion on them is influenced by the fact that I never really liked them.

Only 4 bands here play real heavy metal o hard rock/metal songs...But the metal of the seventies is Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Bow Wow, Kingdsome hCome, Night Sun, Jerusalem, Icecross, Scorpions, Riot, Granmax, and other bands of hard rock with metallic songs like Uriah Heep. Deep Purple, Bang, Vulcano, and many others-- THIS IS A STRANGE COMPILATION
