lol I always laugh soo badly everytime i have to drive these. Seriously, they are the slowest of all the subcompacts and they get terrible gas mileage too
for those who don't know, this is actually a daewoo, they just changed their name to Chevrolet to get more money, and it kinda means they have to raise there standards (daewoo's were horrible cars).
would i buy this car? maybe for 2000 bucks used, but never a brand new one. i'd be pretty happy in it being only 16, i don't need a mercedes C class car to get me to school and back.
@Sharod101 No they didn't do it to get more money, they did it because Daewoo dealerships are all closed and GM didn't have a subcompact car in their lineup so they figured they could just start selling rebadged Daewoos instead of using domestic resources to build a car that wouldn't yield a high return since they were so far behind other manufacturers, not to mention Korea dos not have the UAW. This isn't the only one, Buick Reagal and Chevy Cruze are both German and Korean.+Daewoo name=garbage
@fenix144 acura... let me guess, integra? haha. anyway, its how old? now youre caught commenting on aveo youtubes? shopping for a better car are you? idiot. my aveo is nothing compared to a new acura but to yours ... go get some underglow and bondo moron.
I liked the style of the first Aveo but I dont know what happened with the second gen..another issue i would have with this car is the fact that Daewoo made it and does any besides me remember all those Daewoo cars broke down on the side of the road a few years back??
Consider this: I just bought a 2006 Milan Premier 2.3 for $11000 with 42k and am getting 27.5 mpg. Would you rather have a new Aveo, or a used Fusion/Milan? None of my friends are laughing, I probably couldn't say that if I pulled up in a shiny new Aveo. Something to be said for that...

Mercury. Its the corporate twin of the Ford Fusion meaning that it's a Ford Fusion with slightly different interior trim, different wheels, and distinctive front and rear fascias but the chassis, engine, transmission, and overall platform are identical.
would you recomend someone getting one of these or the pontiac g3? maybe a good used one? can a 6'2 male sit comfortably inside? is it really that cheap of a car?

wonder when will the aveo RS be launched
123dodgecharger 1 year ago
@123dodgecharger Hopefully never. I know I'd never buy it. It's almost as stupid as the PT Cruiser GT, Dodge Neon/Caliber SRT4, etc.

If the goal of a small car is MPG = then quit it with the auto trans! Manual is a must to extract the most MPG AND POWER.
My 5 speed aveo with just an intake pipe hauls butt, and I still get over 32MPG and I peg the throttle all day long, combo driving.
Oh and as for the Milan - I paid 8400 for my 04 Aveo with 30 miles on it, count them. . . 30 miles, brand new car, $8,400 with A/C.
You'll be paying more than that $11k down the road when you realize you bought a Ford that won't last :)

@dpawl31 I'll lol at you when my 12 years old 300 000km acura will die after your aveo.

So how is the handling and power in the Aveo or Yaris?
csuqared 2 years ago
Between the two, we'd give the nod to the Yaris, overall ... it's capable of remarkable fuel economy.
