I'm learning tenor banjo to play in a trad jazz band, and its exciting to see that I can try out some bluegrass fingerpicking without getting a new instrument! Good work!
@bodorynboy DGdg is the tuning of my banjo, starting from the thickest string.
The common tuning of tenor banjo is CGda and my thickest (4th) string is raised by two semitones from "C" to "D" - it causes no harm to it; my thinnest (1st) string is dropped by two semitones from "a" to "g". The result is DGdg tuning which has the same open strings as open G tuning of 5-string banjo gDGBd (with exception of B string).
