Motherboard: ASUS M3A-H HDMI

Graphics card: RADEON HD4850 512MB

Memory: Kingston 4GB 800Mhz

Other: 520W Netpart, 640GB HDD

no, DX10 doesnt really matter, its just a waste of power imo, but i have to wait for vista to come so i can compare them...

hmm, you do want to upgrade your ram to at least 2 gb's, since 1 gig is going to kill it... also, your cpu isnt very strong, i advise buying one of the E2xxx series, or overclocking your current one, that should be enough

Ahhh damn. There is just one problem about this card. Over heating. And i dont want a card that is loud. Is it possible that drivers can fix the fan problem?

anh mate, all you have to do is google: ati 4850 fanfix

and youre good to go, jsut raise teh fan speed to 40% and itl be perfect, 8.8... dunno if theyl fix it, since im still on 8.7

By the time you read this, Catalyst 8.9 should be out and it does fix a bit of the instabilities of 8.8.

Hey would you know if the 4850 is better than the 9600gt? i was thinking about this card but i have always looking in to Nvidia ^^

teh 4850 is FAR more powerful than the 9600 GT... or the 8800 GT, GTX, 9800 GTX,

this card is the best for teh price, nothin can beat it in its price range, put the 9600 aside, and get a 4850, u wont regret it

id recommend u get an arctic cooling freezer 7 pro and overclock that lil runt to around 2.6, thatl make the performance increase like wawa

im using 1280x1024 right now (gonna get a 24" 2680x1050 LCD next week though), the game is fully maxed out, with 4x AA and 16X AF, and ingame, the game is capped at 62 fps, with light drops to about 40 in the heaviest firefights

how do u set it too 4xAA and 16xAF in this game? i dont see it in the in-game menu

i dont activate in the ingame menu, i use the CCC driver settings, but in like a week, il stop using filters, cuz il get a new 22" 1680x1050 monitor
