  • To the guy who wrote description... This was made for this game and exactly for that moment when jack kills edger. look on iTunes this song isn't in ashtar commands only album they got together with reddead redemption developers who wrote the song and they performed it. You will only find song in the games sound track album on iTunes. So basically your theory is true

  • People aged faster back in those days

  • great video! has anyone checked out the newest Ashtar Command cd? It's called American Sunshine and it sounds a lot like this. Soo good! RIP john :(

  • @morgireland99 - thanks, I am particularly happy with how this video turned out. Please, check out my other Red Dead videos and leave your thoughts!

  • Discussion:

Do you think this song (Deadman's Gun) is about John, or Jack Marston?

-The song plays after Jack kills Edgar when the credits roll

-"Your hands upon... a Deadman's Gun..." - Jack holding his fathers gun?

    What do you think?

  • this is great man

  • @ashtarchris - Hey, thanks for watching my video, sorry I didn't reply to you sooner.

If this really is Ashtar Commands channel then I am thrilled that you took the time to watch my video and also thanks for favoriting it too

  • Ashtar Command is releasing our Debut LP “American Sunshine” on iTunes today please go check it out.

  • Damn you Edgar Ross!! :'(

  • @TwoRingsNL @KhaosSquirrel9000

Jack kills Edgar in 1914, 3 years after John dies in 1911. In the newspaper purchased by Jack it says Seth Briars found treasure and is the wealthiest man in the West and it also states Marshal Leigh Johnson, Landon Ricketts and Irish have passed away.

  • @TheOriginalBendejo You know what doesn't make any sense is the fact that if Jack kills Edgar 3 years later...Why does it look like Jack has aged more then that?

  • @HurriShane00 - yes I know, but it is 3 years later. Many webpages have commented on Jacks "growth spurt" being a little exaggerated. Still, it doesn't take anything away from the masterpiece anyway, apart from maybe a tiny little bit of realism. RDF'NR!

  • @TheOriginalBendejo Marshal Leigh ohnson did't die, he retired

  • @NobodyYouWannaKnow19 - I am pretty sure the final issue of the Blackwater Ledger states that Marshal Johnson dies, however I have not played the game for a little while now so I cannot recall. It also says that Seth got rich, an unknown "Irish" male killed after accidently shooting himself in an outhouse and Landon Ricketts died in Mexico. You are probably right about Leigh Johnson though.

His wife, Prescilla (?) Johnson, is buried at Coot's Chapel by Armadillo, "Always smiling in our hearts".

  • @TheOriginalBendejo I know he didn't die because i checked the paper first but yes everything else is spot on

  • Great music video and song. This was one of the best Rockstar games ever. They really need to make a sequel or something to this because it sucks if they just leave it at that or whatever. I mean what happened to Marshal Johnson? West Dickens? Irish got killed apparently, but they need to make something for Jack to continue the story about all the people in that game. Awesome video, man.

  • @KhaosSquirrel9000 - thanks, I'm happy you liked this video. Red Dead Redemption is a masterpiece that everyone should get a chance to experience ...not just gamers, so I made this video for all to enjoy with the intention of capturing the true feeling of RDR that all but one viewer on record didn't exactly "feel" so to speak lol

You may also like to watch my "The John Marston Story - What really happened at Beechers Hope?" video.

    Happy YouTubing

  • @TheOriginalBendejo Sure, man. Send me a link.

  • @KhaosSquirrel9000 Well when Jack kills Edgar it's 10 years later and edgar is quite old,, So is the Marshal and West Dickens, Irish might be the lucky bastard that survives,, and seth,, don't know about seth,, seth can't die I think

  • dammit this song is so dam sad T.T but this game built up to the climax of the revoloution and then went down hill to its resting place...R.I.P Jhon Marston you will live on in our hearts till RdR 2 comes out and your son becomes just as big of a hero as you were D: we will miss you (or we could replay the game and avoid all story progression :D)

  • I like RDR better than L.A. Noire

  • I loved this game to death... till i learned taht jack Marston grows up to be the Wild West equivelent to an emo. (though I understand he has his reasons.. I was just hoping he'd be more like his dad.)

  • PLEASE, IF YOU LIKE THIS VIDEO AND WANT TO SUBSCRIBE, IT WOULD BE BENEFICIAL TO YOU AND ME IF YOU ALSO SUBSCRIBE TO MY BACK-UP CHANNEL, BENDEJOPRODUCTIONS. THANKS.

  • Nicely done. I really liked it. Makes me all melancholy because I loved this game and never wanted it to end. And since it ended the way it did, it broke my heart, especially this song, which I love. John is my favorite video game character now. Great video!

  • @TheNinjafemme Good to hear. Thanks for watching.

  • Other games have moved me, sure. But none came close to this game... I still get all choked up listening to this song... 6 months after beating it.

  • @haligast Red Dead Redemption is a masterpiece and is a corner stone in the world of video games. Hope you liked my video and thanks for watching

  • @haligast same here man

  • I must say that was well done. Although I kind of expected a slo-mo shot of John coming out of the barn at the end guns blazing, either way nice job.

  • @TheTheofrei Cool bananas man thanks for checking out my video

  • I've been playing videogames since 1993. Owned damn near every system and played all the greats when they were new. Next to Ocarina of Time, Final Fantasy VII, Shenmue and Metal Gear Solid 4, this is the only other game to put the lump in my throat. Even at 23 years of age. Bought Red Dead on launch night a year ago and just beat the game today. Watched alot of great films but something about a videogame puts you in the shoes of the hero. A deeper connection and sad to be the end. Great song.

  • @jordy437 Thanks man, good to hear from another avid gamer... you're probably a more avid gamer than myself but still good to hear from another. Thanks for checkin' it out

  • people that dislike this song are teamed up with sado(edgar) ross...

  • this is just incredible great job :D

  • @jonnycashman100 I am yet to see Old Yeller but I understand what you mean lmfao cheers for checking my video out hope you liked it.

  • Very good Bendejo (am I allow to reveal your name?). Very very well done. Overall it is a great video, very balanced and just right. But then again, this is what we can expect from you, "The greatest artist of our generation". I am glad you have found another passion.

  • @DaCh1naMan hahaha yeah you can call me Ben haha a lot of people think I'm Mexican or Spanish because of Bendejo part in my username lmfao. I am not sure if I can accept "the greatest artist of our generation" title but I could easily settle with the subtle and humble "modern day Da Vinci" haha or at least share that title with you hahahaha yeah I am glad you liked this video, the outcome wasn't too shabby condidering I just made it on windows movie maker lol see you around DaCh1naman
