This new season has taken on sort of a religious theme, which i REALLY dont like.

The show used to be funnier. season one and two were so cute and funny, now everythings gotten so "end of the world" disaster style. i preferred it when there was more funny moments, more of sam's pouts, more of deans smartass comments......

actually, Jensen and Jared have a contract for 6 years. They are planning on leaving after five seasons however because Eric Kripke's contract is only five years long. Actually They had planned on season four being the final season, until they saw how many people watched the season premiere. So who really knows how many there are going to be. But most likely the end is five, because without Eric Kripke there really wouldn't be a point. And they'd rather it go out with a bang: fans wanting more.

I totally agree with you on the wishing for more. My only issue is that if Eric Kripke isn't going to be there the show will die. I'd rather it go out with a bang then to have it die off and be "forced" off television with bad ratings 'n shiz. That's what Jensen, Jared, Eric, and Kim Manners wanted to do. The BEST of the BEST go out with fans wanting more.

there's an interview with jensen, jared, and misha (it's on youtube ^_^) and Jensen mentions how originally they'd all thought season four was going to be the last one. However, when they saw how many people tuned in for the Season Four premiere Eric basically said Back to the planning room because then they had to rearrange season four's plot, so they cld extend it into season five. Jared 'n Jensen's contract is for 6 years, but Eric only has five. Which is where the Five season rumor came frm.

Neither would a lot of fans, but if it's written right-and knowing Eric Kripke he'll let this go out in a blast, something nobody is really expecting...i mean, Eric knows the way the series should end. It's his plot, and his characters. I think it'd be very climactic for him to end it with a main canon death. Would I want it? No! Never the less, I'd like to see how he'd actually pull it off. Seeing how dean and sam have died before, it'd be a plot already played, idk

True, it is a plot already played but both of them have come back from the dead. If they do it this way I have a feeling there will be no coming back from it. It might be a little cheasey but if they did die I would love to see all their spirts (and we see them) together reunighted in the end: John, Marry, Sam, Dean and even Jessica too. But I heard that they will be bringing Jessica back, somehow, for at least one episode. I'm excited to see that.
