Perhaps you should read some case law regarding disputed wills. Married people are considered before blood relations. This is not an obscure exception.

If someone has a large enough estate where this is not the case, they would already have a will put together anyway. Your advocating that a Doctor should have the right to deny a legal medical proceedure that the patient has been approved for only because she is a lesbian? You advocating creating a weak medical ethical. The law precedent does not make any disctiction for elective or emergency.
The patient's HMO only had 1 approved clinic for the proceedure in her area. Most of us will leave you alone and go where we are accepted. She had no choice in her own health and happiness, so she fired back.

The medical community will tell you it IS they way we are born. They have proved it with MRI's of the brain. We are "wired" differently. Gays are apart of nature. No gay rights will be affected or change with the passing/failing of prop 8. Those rights and priveledges are in existence and practice already.

When an agency is contracted by the state to do the work of the state it is governed by that contract. That is the case of Catholic Charities of Boston. It is also interesting to note that the agency had voluntarily placed children with same sex couples for 10 years before they decided to halt that practice. There was no lawsuit involved, only a directive from the church hierarchy.

What is a purpose for a country? I dont understand that. They live their lives the way they want it and period. I dont think Canada has a "purpose" on this earth. Spread democratic ideas around the world? You think democracy was invented here? Did you know that the same people who created democracy practiced what its called today homosexuality? Put down the bible and go get a history book and learn something.

Stopped German domination of the world twice, mitigated the spread of communism in the cold war, invented televesin (Philo Farnsworth), Airplanes (Wright Brothers), telephones (Alexander Graham Bell), Internet (Dept of Defense), Air conditioning (Willis Carrier), National Constitution of a religious religious country with a secular government (Founding Fathers). These ideas and infinite others have spread around the world and blessed the lives of billions.

Oh wonderful, so speding the inventions of some americans is spreading democracy? So I guess the US spread democracy in Iraq too, right? However I dont see any tvs, internet or air conditioners being brought there lol... and they do need the AC, summers in Bagdad are a bitch!

Canada's constitution is not as specific as to free speech. Read it. There are many more countries that ban rights for gays than those who support them. Pick one, move. I will stay in this great country and work toward an inclusive society free from your particular radical christianist agenda.

Because our society overwhelmingly believes heterosexual marriages provide benefits to society that homosexuality doesn't. I would be fine w/ a government neutral on heterosexuality if that is what it takes to keep the radical gay agenda from being forced into my children's schools.

Freedom is not imposing your religious beliefs onto others! Freedom is truth seeking, and the truth is that gay people exist and children will know about them either at schools or when the grow up. I do not suggest imposing my Mormon religion by force into public schools, it is a matter to be freely taught in the churches, homes, and sympathetic organization. The government should be neutral. Plesae do not impose your radical gay agenda. There is a time and a place, not forcing it into the public schools.

This is the problem with you (one of them): you dont get that Mormon, Christian and any other religions are that: RELIGIONS. Homosexuality and all that is related to it is FACT and REAL. So at school you teach about factual things and reality, NOT about religions (unless its a class about religion). If the schools want to teach about homosexuality in a class, what is wrong about that?? You think children are going to become gay? LOL please tell me you dont believe that!

So because it is a fact that homosexuality leads to more disease, more physical damage, more unhappiness, and more regret among elderly people who practice homosexuality in their younger years. That is a fact. Can we teach it in schools? How about if I can find statistics to support my case?

Check out the center for disease control. 68% of all AIDS cases in our country are within the homosexual community. Do you have any evidence that men who ram things in each other's anuses are more healthy than people who don't? The issue at hand is whether homosexuals should be allowed to marry. Yes, some of them should experience the regret in their late years for having married the wrong person just as so many heterosexuals do. No on Proposition 8!

I think people like you are degrading this country. None is trying to impose their belief onto others more than the Catholic church. Look at history (should I even mention the Inquisition or Crusades?) in south america for example. I could go on and on. Private Christiann adoption agencies are being closed down in Massachusettes because they would not accomodate the radical gay agenda. Public schools in Massachusettes are imposing the radical gay agenda on classrooms. I don't ask that my Mormonism be taught in schools, and I respect people who may think it is radical. Please offer me the same courtesey.

Perhaps you should read some case law regarding disputed wills. Married people are considered before blood relations. This is not an obscure exception.

It is easier (and less expensive) to put together a basic will to pass along the assets than it is to get legal marriage for any couple. If someone has a large enough estate where this is not the case, they would already have a will put together anyway. Trying to develop the obscure exception isn't convincing in imposing homosexuality on others.

Okay, you have no basis whatsoever to take the marriage program or even the word 'marriage' away from the government. It's not your to take! You don't get to define it! If your religion happens to have some concept of 'marriage,' then it is totally separate from the one offered by the government. You cannot stop the government from using a word, and offering to everyone, to which you have no copyright or ownership of. Why don't you accept this?

I'm unaware of an organized church of the gay agenda, "radical" or otherwise. Perhaps we should organize a church and gain the tax exempt status that would free up the type of cash that the radical right uses in its attempts to subjugate the gays.

Just reiterating the projected outcome of your radical gay agenda. On March 10, 2006, Catholic Charities of Boston quit providing adoption services when Massachusetts anti-discrimination laws forced them to allow married same-sex couples to adopt, which has been prohibited by church doctrine.

That was the decision of the church hierarchy. Read a little further and you'll find that most of the governing board of the institution resigned over the directive of the church as they believed it was wrong to bar gays from adoption.

An interesting example of what happens when peoples' religious beliefs conflict with legal duties. These issues can be complicated.
However, the people who watch this should also be aware of issues on the other side of the coin. With no legal recognition, a same-sex couple could build their whole lives together, living just like a married couple, but then if one of them dies, they could be treated as nothing more than roommates. If one dies for example, the family could take away everything.

What exactly is this "radical gay agenda" you are referring to? I also would hope that no radical agendas make it into our public schools.
If you are referring to educating people of the current scientific understanding of sexual orientation, well then I do not believe TRUTH constitutes a radical agenda.
If you want to talk about obstruction and censoring of truths that would prevent ignorance, discrimination, and hate crimes... THAT would constitute a radical agenda.

One definitoin of radical may be an agenda that is completely out of touch with the people. CA's overwhelming support for letting people choose how they want to think, how children are taught in school, and how they handle elective cases in their private businesses was upheld, as it is in every other state except MA. Hence the term, radical.
