This is what are guns are for, practice and enjoy the company of your friends. Very fun to watch and everybody was very safe conscious. Enjoy and be safe!!!
Really a nice range ! The first guy was great with that AK. Pistols to me are 3 to 15ft just point and keep shooting...I just practice draw speed. Great video !
every one starts out slow and skill and speed develop with time. There is an old saying at the range “ you can’t shoot fast enough for a miss” .good shooting
4:20 a little slow, but great lean in and sounded like she was hitting every one. With confidence and further training I think she could tear it up. of course she could probably still do way better than I could :)
are those metal plates standing on their side, sitting on top of a T like stand in a bucket of cement for a base? if so, great cheap idea, I might borrow that ;)
Polenar, I really have to know if the M70AB2 is far more controllable compared to other AKs, due to the heavy front end. Does it have less muzzle rise, allowing it to be more accurate in follow-up shots?
no, its not more controlable - every AK with a slant muzzle brake has pretty much the same recoil and muzzle rise
but if you want almost zero recoil and muzzle rise then get the PWS (Primary Weapon Systems) FSC47 compensator - its the best AK compensator on the market
@semiautoriflelover And since you're running a MAK-90, it's a bit harder to get optics on them. I had the chance to buy a Russian made scope attached to a dust cover, but passed it up because I wasn't sure if a dust cover is stable enough for a scope.
first guy had good shot placement and speed between shots, but need to work on speed acquiring targets. Second guy is good for a beginner but needs to become more familiar with his equipment. He shouldn't have to look down to holster the pistol or readjust the gun in between shots. Cool video though guys, I enjoyed it.
In my country owning a firearm is more as a privilege than a right. Firearm permits for personal safety are almost impossible to get.
Firearm permits for sport and hunting are easier to get - 18+, no criminal past, proper firearm handling and safety test, health test, psychiatric assessment and a membership in a shooting club.
But this firearms should not be used for personal safety or home defense by our law...
Sadly firearms are still a taboo in our country...
Polenar, check out shooter #2, it appears he is really slapping at the trigger on the handgun. Bring this to his attention and then check his scores on that stage- how good were the hits? Both ladies did very well, excellent control, and yes- much better than most youtube posers.
You are a good observer! The #2 shooter has big problems with slapping the trigger - i told him a couple of times and showed him the right technique of equal controlled squeezing of the trigger and now its on him to practice it...
Ladies did much better than him, but unfortunately they were too slow for this drill...
Next time we will have to make target hits more valuable in comparison with speed
@Polenar You come upon the ages old questino, how to account for speed and loss of accuracy. I think IPSC has a great way of answering that question, it's known as a Hit Factor. You assign points to the target to account for accuracy and deduct points for misses then you divide the score by the total time. This forces the shooter to shoot as fast at they can get hits. I think it's a nice system. It may work for you.
for first time we wanted to make it as simple as possible but now i see we will have to change a couple of things...
im familiar with the ipsc system but i doubt that we will use it for competitions because we would probably have problems with Slovenian IPSC association
my goal is to make a combined practical/tactical shooting competition with real life scenarios
it would be a good training for military and LEO and also a lot of fun for sport shooters
Good job setting up the course of fire. The girls did really well. Their shooting stances were very good and supportive of the weapon as evidenced by their skill in hitting the plates. I liked that on the second part of the course you have a "no shoot" target blocking a "bad guy" that is further back. Double tap x3 for the close in bad guys to the hostage and then take a side step to engage the guy behind with two quick aimed shots.
The first "friend" looked like he was missing with the AK because he didnt have it pulled tight to his shoulder so the recoil really messed him up. That is what it looked like to me. The girl though did awesome on the distance shots with the AK. Just needs to go a bit faster. That is all I have to say. Nice video and nice shooting

sure we do
i shot up to 450 meters prone with my AK and i have to say its quite accurate
500 meters is this range's limit but if i will get the chance, i will try to shoot with it even further
