That's what being a politician is, take the question and answer it either intellectually enough so people will accept it or talk about a popular sub-topic so people will accept it. I'm British and our Politicians are no different, example, if you follow David Cameron you will notice that he never acknowledges the unemployed even when he's asked directly about it, instead he mentions the employed followed by the usual 'We've got to do better' but never does anything.

I don't approve of audience boos . But Romney never would say on this video what HE thought. In fact he said, he made it a practice to say what he thought people wanted to hear. These are issues that the Federal Gov't. got itself into and we also need to hear where a candidate stands. I like Romney, but he just won't take a stand on things, more so when he thinks it may not be popular with a few. I BOO on that. I would take a Stand for a candidate IF they had the darn guts to be honest.

I watched the actual video of the debate, the crowd didn't boo when the soldier identified himself as gay, they booed when he said "Do you plan to circumvent my right to serve", the interviewer is a partisan hack who was trying to ask a gotcha question.
