Poulsen is like the late 80's Detroit Pistons. He plays hard, aggressively, has no thought in mind but winning the ball, and has the ability to shut extremely talented players out of entire games. This is because he knows his strengths and plays to them extremely well. He's solid in the air, he tackles incredibly, and he has a rep that tends to scare opponents off their game.
He was a great signing and as of right now, criminally underrated by LFC fans. He'll be a fan favorite this season.

I'm a Juventino and have been watching Poulsen for the past two years. Even though he didn't prove himself at Olimpico at first he did pretty well last season. His biggest strenghts are his positioning, man marking and ability to irritate opponents. His biggest weakness is the fact that he somewhat overrates his ability of passing. He wastes way too many crossballs from time to time, but all in all he's a decent passer. I think he'll do fairly well at Anfield. / A Juve fan.
Some people have completley misunderstood what Poulsen represents.... this match against Milan shows that pretty well. Because of one or two incidents in other games, some fans think Poulsen is a dirty player... in reality he is anything but! Poulsen is an annoyingly good player and can completely dominate other players. Look at how many times kaka has to foul Poulsen because he is frustrated over how good Poulsen is.... And when Poulsen tacles he does so hard but clean. A brilliant player.

@LumixGoals @united22 Poulsen is indeed... fucking terrible. Surprisingly, I did not base my original opinion off of youtube, I follow Juve as well as LFC. I guess I didn't take into account the differences in pace between Seria and the EPL. This has taken a toll on his ordinarily good tackling and made him completely ineffective. So yes, you're both correct. I stand by my first paragraph, but I will concede he's not up to the level that LFC requires. Hindsight 20/20.

just because Poulsen played bad for Juventus, doesnt mean he will for Liverpool, after all Liverpool have better players than Juventus. Henry was shit when he played for Juventus, but when he went to Arsenal he became one of the best strikers in the world. Ian Rush was awsome for Liverpool but when he went to Juventus he was shit until he went back to Liverpool. Felipe Melo was a good player but didnt start to play bad till he went to Juventus.

I know Liverpool had a bad season last season first, worst in 11 years. but they are the most Successful Football club in England as they have won more trophies than any other club in England. Man Utd only just managed to equal our 18 league title winning record last time they won the title, and it took them a long time. and we have won the champions league 5 times, United only 3 times. Liverpool have a world wide fan base of around 100 millions fans all over the world.

Ok im sorry if I came across the wrong way, I hope Juventus do well next season they are a great team and i have followed them briefly for years. Just want Liverpool to get back in the top four where i and all my fellow fans believe they belong. I believe they will, Arjen Robben said that he believes Liverpool now have an attack as strong as Barcelona's with the signing of Joe Cole alongside Torres and Gerrard.

Looks Like Juventus are getting Aquilani off us on loan with a view to a permanent deal, what do u think, I think fully fit he will be a good player for Juventus. He came to Liverpool injured and even when fit he was still feelling discomfort with his injury, but apparently he has full recovered from his injury now according to the Liverpool Doctor Peter Brukner. I would have preferred Liverpool to keep him but hodgson must have other ideas.

So as you can see we are arguably as good Man Utd, but most of all, we are definitely more successful than Man United. The reason why Alex Ferguson hasnt retired yet is because he wants to try and out do Liverpool's records. He anounced he was going to retire about 12 seasons ago but is still here. we did the double over united the season before last when we were 2 points off beating them to the title and still manage to beat them in our first game last season.

So he commits obvious fouls, has slow to average pace and gives away many frees inside his own half. He can tackle sure and his passing accuracy is good but he needs to calm the fuck down. if he plays like that against any of the top 6 sides theyll beat us by scoring free kicks alone...

Lucas had potential coming, but No nice way to say it, he has flopped. Continued on after all the abuse he gets from liverpool fans and for that deserved some credit. But I cant see him turning it around, not at Liverpool anyway. Thumbs up Poulsen. Not a bad buy.

I'm a Juventino and have been watching Poulsen for the past two years. Even though he didn't prove himself at Olimpico at first he did pretty well last season. His biggest strenghts are his positioning, man marking and ability to irritate opponents. His biggest weakness is the fact that he somewhat overrates his ability of passing. He wastes way too many crossballs from time to time, but all in all he's a decent passer. I think he'll do fairly well at Anfield. / A Juve fan.

Some people have completley misunderstood what Poulsen represents.... this match against Milan shows that pretty well. Because of one or two incidents in other games, some fans think Poulsen is a dirty player... in reality he is anything but! Poulsen is an annoyingly good player and can completely dominate other players. Look at how many times kaka has to foul Poulsen because he is frustrated over how good Poulsen is.... And when Poulsen tacles he does so hard but clean. A brilliant player.

He isn't as good as mash, but than again mash cant pass, he cant shoot, he doesn't have a great deal of vision and he isn't great in possession which is where i think Poulsen will improve our midfield with Stevie and him in the centre. Joe Cole in the hole and Torres up top. I think we stand a very good chance at fourth and even better.

I love all the football "experts" who think that Lucas can hold a candle to CP. Not even by a long shot. CP has not just good passing but excellent passing. He has experience and is not a dirty player - you could say he has mellowed over the years. Right now he is at his peak, and Roy knows this. Thats why he is bringing him to LFC.
LFC needs CP and in a few months all the haters now will be singing a different tune.
As you can see in this video - CP made worlds best mid look second rate.

Poulsen is 30 with talent and experience, instead of pace he can sense the game and know where to place himself. mascherano was clumsy with too many weird tackles, Poulsen know how it all works and is a much better passer.

I have really never got to see him play. It's just I never noticed him. Most the vid's on youtube show him as a dirty tackler or fouler. On the other hand I think we will need a ball winner or someone with a little fire in their belly to dominate that area. As long as they know the limits. He would get away with harder tackles in England anyway. Can someone who watches him tell what his qualities are please?
