@SaiXZ that makes sense because i saw the U.S. trailer and I dont recall seeing an Ing possessed Luminoth in the game. That type of enemy in the game would damn near impossible to kill, given that U-Mos has a psycho-kinetic barrier protecting him

@pearllatios It is a luminoth of sorts. That particular one didn't appear in the final version of the game. It's probably a possessed luminoth that could have been a boss back in the planning room.
@TheGhilgamesh the reason there's no dark luminoth is because they commit suicide if the ing possess them (you find this out by scanning a luminoth corpse in a storage room or somewhere).
There was originally going to be dark luminoth because in the demo version you come across Dark Luminoth Webbing
@pearllatios That would be the 'Dark Splinter'. These are the only dark creatures you can find scurrying around the Light world. Don't be fooled, they're small and they cause little bits of damage. They can die easy, too.
Dark Luminoth could be on....but he could be like an extra thing or Easter egg ;)
I don't think he would be in the actual game though even though he could be an Easter egg because I don't think he is counted in the Metroid Prime storyline and thats why they took him out (or added him as an easter egg or something...I'm not too sure yet since I don't have the game yet.)
@samuspoonschief, I like Metroid Prime 3 the best so far....but I never played the 2nd one yet, so it might change once I get it. Them Metroid Prime 3 will be my 2nd favorite if it does change. ^^

But after the other hunters got killed, somehow they came back to life, mutated from the phazon....which means they didn't exactly die.
BUT, Samus had to kill them because there were no choice since there were no way of getting them back to normal.
It is probably due to that he is rebuilt by metal from the space pirates. I think that he gains hi´s meat back after eating a lot of meat. The point is that he recovers FAST.
Its kinda unfortunate that in the wii version, you can't play multiplayer unless you have more than one nunckuck. Other than that I think the wii version of Echoes is the best out of the entire trilogy.
Beam ammo was the worst metroid concept ever :| Sure you can find the expansions, but it's still a pain in the butt without adding terribly much. We already have metroid ammo and we call that missiles, super missiles and, powerbombs. Oh and... we know samus has that alien spacearmor from the future so realism? :p There's plenty of power for the power beam so suspend your disbelief and admit beam ammo was bad :D
This game is the best menu setup as well as it being more realistic with ammo, but ultimately the first one pwns this one is epic and honestly mp3 fails compared to these. And ridley should have been in these game but I guess they made you think he was acctully gone but brought him back in metriod prime 3 but made him incredibly easy. Ultimately this is the best setup.
Best game of the series. MP3 is fun but its storyline is kind of sloppy. This game has a solid and dark storyline and has cool enemies, Its much easier to get submerged in the game
Metroid Prime: Ocarina of Time (Lays the foundation to the series and sets a VERY high bar, hailed as a masterpiece)
Metroid Prime 2: Majora's Mask (VERY bizarre and different plot, lacking main features of the series, such as Ganon (Ridley),Zelda (Chozo) or even the Triforce (Phazon), features a darker and creepy atmosphere.)
Metroid Prime 3: Twilight Princess (go back to the roots of the series while making it more cinematographic, but also more linear)
and besides... it would take a long, long time for ridley to be reconstructed after getting defeated by samus (unless by phazon)
and ridley can't just "happen" to be everywhere at once... this is aether, ot tallon iv or pirate homeworld (not to say dark ridely wouldn't be cool, though :D )
it DID have a dark ridley, but they removed it, you were supposed to get the dark suit from him, he was wearing it..... who would wear armor that was on a dragon

That is quite possible though highly unlikely that they will remove Ridley from this game, as Other M is being made to show the events between Metroid Fusion and Super Metroid, as well as delving into Samus' past. Also yes, the Metroid Prime 1 trailer wasn't what one would consider "eye candy".
Yeah, it's beta. They were originally going to have them in the game, but the for the plot caused a complication that resulted in them not being put in. Which is a shame because I would have loved to have fought some.
personally im torn between 1 and 2, three is definintly amazing but it doesnt seem to have that same atmosphere that the first two did... idk, if i had to pick id say the first is the best, simply because of the battles with the space pirates, closely followed by two with three being still amazing and a definite buy, but not quite as good as the first two
To me Corruption had a Super Metroid feel, in that you're chasing down a bunch of enemies, sneaking past Pirates to infiltrate the area, destroying big bosses along the way, (not saying either game is linear, but the mission is clear, and there's a bunch of shit in your way.) You even defeat a big super computer at the end in similar ways. I was thinking, "Come on, twist ending!" Though, Prime 3 had enough twists.
at 1:18, thats a dark luminoth that was going to be a major sub-guardian or something like that, but they couldnt develop a backstory for it. thats what i heard but im not exactly sure.
I will have to dig this one out of storage. It was one of the only N games i never finished. i just couldnt figure out the find for one of the bosses. i remember having to fight as a ball for part of it, blowing up things, then turning back to samus to fight more. anyways..... ;p
Yes, a lot more challenging. The boss battles were & a bevy of new sub-bosses or weapon guardiens. This game introduced the 2D transition to wall jumps after acquiring SPEED BOOSTER, something we've been waiting for since Super Metroid, & it worked well. Also was a lot longer since you have the alternate worlds to explore. SEEKER MISSLE was a new weapon installment that also worked well. Overall I think this is just as good as PRIME 1 but Corruption takes the cake!
number 2 is twice as hard in my opinion(i have beat them all) in order form easiest to hardest (not including hard modes and such) it is 3,1,2 two being the hardest because of the dark world and the enemies are also tougher

i have cleared MP 2 with 101% (yes 101%) in 11 hours and 43 minutes, u can add some more minutes if im supposed to take the final boss before checking the time :P

notice the diffrence in the footage where the camera panned from the marine shooting...to all the ing critters boarding the ship. In the final release you'd see the marine getting tackled from behind before the camera moves.
I just wish the original music and overall alien vibe could be restored. The NES Metroid & Super Metroid were on a new level, these games take the graphics too far and lack in the old atmosphere. Maybe it was my childhood imagination making those great, but these seem graphics-heavy and lacking in the music and overall tone. Too much techno-ish audio, not enough eerie. But at the same time, thank god nintendo never abandoned this franchise. METROID was my fav for the NES. Justin bailey!
Metroid Prime 2 is the most scarcely game in the Metroid Serious and 2nd is Fusion because I fuckin panic when im being chased by Sa-x and you can't stay at 1 place for long. It felt like playing Pac-man! Samus in a maze and being chaze by other copies. Waka waka! But Super Metroid will always be the best Metroid game even after I die.
Duh! Because the Prime Saga was first person. MP3 was missing alot of stuff. No power bomb no combo. Metroid Prime 1 was the only game close to super Metroid.
Yeah, Metroid Prime 3 is one of the Wii games that weren´t possible on the GameCube because of the GameCubes lacking technology. I´m not saying GameCube has a lot worse vissuals than Wii, but it doesn´t have enough power to make Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3 or Smash Bros. Brawl the way they are on the Wii.
ur rite gamecube does hav better games then the wii but i like the wii of its gameplay not the games most games i like is the legend of zelda twilight princess, metroid prime 3, and super smash bros. but the gamecube still has better games. they should do the same for the wii or a remake of prime 2 for the wii i think thts a great idea but i dont know. but 1 game they should make for the wii is conker bad fur day its a great game.
the federation trooper thing is like in the manga where the colony is raided and destroyed by the space pirates i just saw it in metroid anime part 1 (on youtube)

For me, prime 1 was the hardest. Prime 2 was a little easier, but still hard. Prime 3 was insanely easy and i finished it in 4 days.

Well, MP2:E was kinda the Majora's Mask of the series. Things were so different I didn't even mind Ridley being gone.
Still, the first Prime was better IMO.

Metroid Prime 100% complete on hard mode in 7 hours and 24 minutes, and no deaths.

It's only slightly harder than the other 2.
There are parts of Prime 1 that are hard, and even Prime 3 is hard in places.

personally im torn between 1 and 2, three is definintly amazing but it doesnt seem to have that same atmosphere that the first two did... idk, if i had to pick id say the first is the best, simply because of the battles with the space pirates, closely followed by two with three being still amazing and a definite buy, but not quite as good as the first two

To me Corruption had a Super Metroid feel, in that you're chasing down a bunch of enemies, sneaking past Pirates to infiltrate the area, destroying big bosses along the way, (not saying either game is linear, but the mission is clear, and there's a bunch of shit in your way.) You even defeat a big super computer at the end in similar ways. I was thinking, "Come on, twist ending!" Though, Prime 3 had enough twists.

at 1:18, thats a dark luminoth that was going to be a major sub-guardian or something like that, but they couldnt develop a backstory for it. thats what i heard but im not exactly sure.

I will have to dig this one out of storage. It was one of the only N games i never finished. i just couldnt figure out the find for one of the bosses. i remember having to fight as a ball for part of it, blowing up things, then turning back to samus to fight more. anyways..... ;p

Yes, a lot more challenging. The boss battles were & a bevy of new sub-bosses or weapon guardiens. This game introduced the 2D transition to wall jumps after acquiring SPEED BOOSTER, something we've been waiting for since Super Metroid, & it worked well. Also was a lot longer since you have the alternate worlds to explore. SEEKER MISSLE was a new weapon installment that also worked well. Overall I think this is just as good as PRIME 1 but Corruption takes the cake!

number 2 is twice as hard in my opinion(i have beat them all) in order form easiest to hardest (not including hard modes and such) it is 3,1,2 two being the hardest because of the dark world and the enemies are also tougher

Prime 1 will take you 12 hours if you are good and if you want to colect all extras.
PRime 2 should take 15

i have cleared MP 2 with 101% (yes 101%) in 11 hours and 43 minutes, u can add some more minutes if im supposed to take the final boss before checking the time :P
but, no offense, i dont want to argue with u:P

notice the diffrence in the footage where the camera panned from the marine shooting...to all the ing critters boarding the ship. In the final release you'd see the marine getting tackled from behind before the camera moves.
I dunno i just thought I'd point that out.

I just wish the original music and overall alien vibe could be restored. The NES Metroid & Super Metroid were on a new level, these games take the graphics too far and lack in the old atmosphere. Maybe it was my childhood imagination making those great, but these seem graphics-heavy and lacking in the music and overall tone. Too much techno-ish audio, not enough eerie. But at the same time, thank god nintendo never abandoned this franchise. METROID was my fav for the NES. Justin bailey!

Super Metroid is pretty scary too, especially the moody music on Crateria when you just land and the ghosts in the Wrecked Ship. Brr! Creepy.

Metroid Prime 2 is the most scarcely game in the Metroid Serious and 2nd is Fusion because I fuckin panic when im being chased by Sa-x and you can't stay at 1 place for long. It felt like playing Pac-man! Samus in a maze and being chaze by other copies. Waka waka! But Super Metroid will always be the best Metroid game even after I die.

Duh! Because the Prime Saga was first person. MP3 was missing alot of stuff. No power bomb no combo. Metroid Prime 1 was the only game close to super Metroid.

Yeah, Metroid Prime 3 is one of the Wii games that weren´t possible on the GameCube because of the GameCubes lacking technology. I´m not saying GameCube has a lot worse vissuals than Wii, but it doesn´t have enough power to make Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3 or Smash Bros. Brawl the way they are on the Wii.

ur rite gamecube does hav better games then the wii but i like the wii of its gameplay not the games most games i like is the legend of zelda twilight princess, metroid prime 3, and super smash bros. but the gamecube still has better games. they should do the same for the wii or a remake of prime 2 for the wii i think thts a great idea but i dont know. but 1 game they should make for the wii is conker bad fur day its a great game.
