  • What's your Grumpig's nature?

  • @MasterSamurott775 Timid, I think.

  • 8:03

    i got him now

    *comunatcations have been interrupted

    cccccccccrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • this game is awesome

  • chilling breeze? yer in the middle of a volcano!!!!!!

  • Just off the subject, do you know what nature that steelix is?

  • @JoycapJoshST My Steelix is Jolly.

  • I must say: You certianly know your strategy

  • smart moves,good job

  • someonewant to fight pm me please

  • @MultiNightSlash i wat to fight on pbr! :D my friend code is on my profile :) tell me urs reply plz! for a epic battle :)

  • nice job overhazerd

  • dude u should have chosen better pokes

  • @hancockGods3000 Why's that? I not only won this match, I forced my opponent into a surrender.

  • 1:29 aww, your rampardos hates you!

  • This was on my birthday!

  • With any Choice item equipped, you can't change the move you use after the first time you used it without returning and then resending your pokemon.

    Personally, I don't use them.

  • Heywait! He used a MASTER BALL on a ninjask?

  • @Goldmagikarp1 Those Pokémon were likely hacked. You can tell because of how serious my opponent took this battle.

  • @Overhazard I like your battle style, its actually unlike a lot of people I fight.

  • @Goldmagikarp1 Thank you.

  • Can somebody tell me witch Pokemon version are playable in this game beside D&P? Thank you.

  • @siamtony1 Platinum, HeartGold, and SoulSilver.

  • @Overhazard you could have used earthquake on metagross

  • @likitty20 When?

  • @Overhazard your rampardos has earthquake, ground type moves are super effective on a metagross if you know type weakness

  • @likitty20 I didn't ask what, I asked when. (Also, Rampardos is holding a Choice Scarf.)

  • @Overhazard and i didnt ask for what the pokemon is holding, all it does is increase speed anyway when the metagross came out then you could have used earthquake on it

  • @likitty20 Well, I'm asking for when in the video you're referring to.

Also, Choice Scarf locks you into the first move you use after switching out.

  • @Overhazard when you guys first battle, this is why i hate playing wi-fi battles even though i hate online battles other then brawl people don't know weaknesses at all, im not the one i have a very very bad temper thats why im gay because i almost killed a girl for asking me out, im not saying i hit girls i just don't wanna get mad so explain to me slowly why you didnt use earthquake

  • @likitty20 If you mean the very first turn, the opponent began with Ninjask. Earthquake would've done absolutely nothing to it. Look at the video again.

  • @Overhazard i was talking about when metagross came out

  • @likitty20 If you mean the second turn, remember that Rampardos was locked into Return because of the Choice Scarf.

  • @Overhazard you couldn't take choice scarf off?

  • @likitty20 Not in the middle of a battle, obviously. As for between battles, there's no need for me to take it off.

  • I don't understand anything of IV's.. Can you tell me how you do the IV stuff?

  • @BlessTheFallx3 It's actually pretty complicated. Send me a message if you'd like, ad I'll explain them in greater detail.

However, I can tell you right here that IVs are a number, randomly assigned, from 0 to 31, for each of the six stats. The higher the number, the higher the stat (but only slightly). You have little control over them, but breeding lets you pass down IVs from parents.

  • FINALLY a match without silly musics! Thanks!

  • @Phabio6666 Silly music?

  • @Overhazard

Yeah, there's a lot of PBR match videos with silly songs instead of the sound of the game itself! xD

    Sorry for the bad english

  • @Phabio6666 whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?

  • @Overhazard what is your Crawdaunt Ev trained in?

  • @AngieeLoveexx Attack and Speed. Try not to copy my Crawdaunt, however; he can be kind of hard to control.

  • Hey Overhazard, I'm curious...w/ ur Crawdaunt, why is X-Scissor on its moveset instead of Crunch?

  • @ATD909 Because I find X-Scissor to be useful in more situations than Crunch.

  • @Overhazard

Now that I researched it...you're right. Waterfall hits 14 of 17 elements for neutral or better, & although Crunch is STAB, it doesn't cover weaknesses, while X-Scissor covers grass.

  • The "Rock Polish-sweeper-slash-Exploder" is a interesting idea for Steelix. I simply Band'd my Steelix (speed imo is too low to be Scarf'd) w/ Earthquake/Iron Tail/Stone Edge/Double Edge.

  • When Ninjask passed all that speed to Metagross, my heart sank. :'(

I'll be honest..., I was shocked that Steelix was able to outspeed Metagross. I know Rock Polish was max-d out & all, but I seriously thought Metagross w/ that baton-pass'd speed +4 (i think) was gonna sweep u. I'm glad that didn't happen. I tend to despise worn-out OU/Uber tier pokemon that sweep ppl, esp Garchomp/Salamence/Metagross. 8-)

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Stupid connection.

  • really good battle! although you probably didnt need to keep using rock polish against that ninjask-- it would only keep getting faster itself. theres no way you couldve gotten faster than it.

i do think that your steelix is pretty good nonetheless. did you ev train it for attack or something?

  • @zacheatstacos Sure, all those Rock Polishes allowed me to strike first against Metagross. Ninjask would never fight a Steelix by itself--it leaves the Baton Passers to that.

This Steelix is EV-trained in Attack and Speed.

  • @Overhazard ah. i didnt pay attention to that. :P

    thanks for clearing that up.

  • Awesome! My cousins have that game so whenever we are there I play it a lot. I wish I had it but it's like, $60.00!

  • ok so what cam/recorder to record this? And how did you make the audio so clear, every time I try making the audio right it just sounds like an echo and it really sounds horrible plus my stupid camera makes my TV brighter which doesn't help -_-

Please help me, I wanna post my own vids of this :D

  • @TheNeomaster15 I don't run into the problems you have because I use a video capture device. It's a direct video recording.

Think of it like a VCR, except instead of videotapes, it records as video files on my computer.

  • @Overhazard qqqqoq que to falou nega

  • nice

  • I love the music on this stage.

  • @PokemonTrainerPurple I have a playlist for each pass I use.

  • can we be frends?

  • would be so sweet if stages such as "magma" gave fire types an advantage and so on :)

  • @SonicRawks That wouldn't be fair to the person who brought in a Water team and selected Waterfall Colosseum though.

  • I guess he rage quit after your steelix owned his metagross. But really awesome battle otherwise. I love your teams.

  • just seeing this battle is fun enough :D i need this game

  • Anyone want to battle me in pokemon battle rev. Just tell me.

  • Im thinking of getting this game. Do the pokemon ever dodge the oponents moves and can you battle with random people - like not use friend codes?

  • @XxMystiiexX This is one such battle against a randomly designated opponent. It's the only Pokémon game to do that so far.

If the Pokémon ever dodge the opponent's moves, then it wouldn't play like a normal Pokémon battle. PBR mimics the DS games' battling system exactly.

  • dude you are awsome! By the way are all the pokemon on you're game from D & P or is there another way?

  • @SacredFire67 Thanks for the compliments.

The Pokémon I used in this battle came form my Diamond version, though PBR works with Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, and SoulSilver too. You can also use Rental Passes if you don't have a DS Pokémon game or you don't want to use one. They're pre-made teams, though you need to work to get them stronger.

  • @Overhazard you're wellcome dude and thank you

  • @Overhazard Nevermind, thanks anyways. You reply very quickly although you have around 1750 videos... I'm very impressed.

  • @FireOrbits Of these, only a relatively tiny amount of them actually get new replies. That's how I'm able to keep up.

  • Do u change ur trainer every month?

  • @Derikoopa43 No. I just go through each of them. I rarely use the same team twice in a row if I'm not still getting the hang of it.

  • @Overhazard Do you mind telling me how you spread Grumpig's EV's?

  • @FireOrbits I can't remember, really. I've raised so many Pokémon, I don't memorize this sort of thing.

  • Hey Overhazard, did you EV train your Grumpig in speed?

  • @FireOrbits I believe I did, actually.

  • Shoulda just sent out steelix in the first place, instead of Crawdaunt. None of Crawdaunts' attacks would be super effective, it doesn't have much defense, and with the switch, metagross surely would have (and did) use a steel attack, that would have done very little damage against your steelix. But still a good match, as you said, the other dude is DEF a competitive battler.

  • ill fight u one day wen my internet works.

  • I can't wait to get this game. Bought HG and am in love with the GTS, I'm just training, breeding, and trading with people. Would like to put those I traded for and trained myself to work.

  • Do people still play this online or would it be a waste of money to buy it?

  • @MrWazza23 There are still plenty of people who play this game online.

  • @MrWazza23 I reckon save your money for the 5thGen games. Most likely they will bring out a new battle revolution to accompany the games, but this is uncomfirmed

  • Wow ... he caught a beldum with a masterball. Just look at 1:27. When he sends out metagross you see a masterball ...

  • @H20Tyler001 They may have been hacked. He lost though, so it's all for naught.

  • His strategy was completely disrupted by Steelix's Rock Polish. Guess he didn't expect you to do speed increase as well. Nicely played! =)

  • @yuuutsu87 Yep, people rarely expect a Steelix EV-trained in Speed with Rock Polish. They're always surprised at what it can outrun.

  • yeah! steelix!

  • I'm viewing this from a iPhone and I think I saw his metagross and ninjask were in masterballs.... Hacker?

  • I love pokemon and I love ALL of you! <3

  • Interesting...

With the ninjask opener, you'd almost always guess 'spam substitute' and wait for the baton pass, yet he didn't do that.

  • i wish they would let you play with level 100 on wi-fi or if they are at 100 turn them to 50 like in the game i cant go full power with my level 50 but i got heartgold so i will be able to do it better now when i had platiunm i didnt know about level 50 (it seems like they cheat online the pokemon i used got knocked out with 2 attacks and the attacks i used didnt take much

  • @13131000TheAlex You were most likely completely outmatched. There's a hack filter that tosses out most illegal Pokémon. It may seem like the opponent's Pokémon are unimaginably strong, but chances are your opponent brought out his or her Pokémon's potential further than you could (such as by EV-training, IV-breeding, certain Hold Items, and stat-raising moves).

Also, Level 100 Pokémon are already brought down to Level 50 playing PBR online.

  • @Overhazard i know i was just saying i got my ass kicked but i wont let that happen with heartgold (on top of that my team wasnt to good

  • @13131000TheAlex That's the sort of thing I like to hear: Independent thinking.

  • I do like the Endure/Speed up/Waterfall combo from your Crawdaunt. Shame you didn't get a critical hit but hey. Clever battling.

  • Thanks. I have fewer and fewer opportunities to use that combo nowadays than when I did that battle.

  • Well, it's better than me feeling clever just 'cos I pulled off Hypnosis/Dream Eater. :D Your vids have definitely given me more ideas for raising my mon.

  • @Overhazard lemme guess, kyogre water spout BS? or togekiss air cutter spam? it gets so old. I wish people would use clever strategies like you use

  • @dragonsissiy Nah, it's the increasing amount of priority moves because of the Move Tutors. Practically any Pokémon can learn one now.

  • @Overhazard Ah that's true. I'm just glad so far I seem to be the only one who uses my metagross's strategy. ^_^ Came up with it all by myself too.

  • lol lost connection

  • does rock polish on Steelix actually help?

  • Most definitely. You'd be surprised what this Steelix can outrun after a Rock Polish.

  • @Overhazard Is rock polish a good choice on armaldo? Because I was suprised at what it could outrun after one of 'em

  • @Jammyt5 Armaldo can definitely make good use of Rock Polish. I considered it myself, but I couldn't find a way to get it on Armaldo without using a TM.

  • Does you Steelix have an Adamant nature or an Impish nature?

  • I think this one is Jolly.

  • That guy is a sore loser.

  • at 6:44 "A chilling breeze" in a LAVA stadium? Am I the only one who finds that a little odd?

  • @PressALTandF4now Spock: i find it completly illogical!

  • @PressALTandF4now i find it odd as well

  • fuck it!

  • He was obviously angry his Metagross got smashed, haha. Though, why didn't have Magnet Rise, or why he didn't use it, is beyond me. With Magnet Rise, Metagross becomes damn near impossible to fight.

  • lol a steelix in a speed war with one of the fastest pokemon in the game, ftw!

    u rock overhazard

  • Nice battle, although your opponent quit

  • I have to say that's a nicley raised steelix :p

  • what's the point of return?

  • Return is the strongest Normal-type attack that doesn't have a penalty.

  • @Overhazard buntak no it is not

  • Then what is?

  • the one hit ko moves, last resort, tri attack, frustration, trump card, wring out

  • Return's power is a straight-up 104 at 100% accuracy with no strings attached. Because happiness is a lot easier to build than unhappiness, Return is almost always preferred over Frustration (which, I'll admit, Return is tied with). Once a Pokémon hits maximum happiness, its power is always 104.

All of the ones you listed have either low accuracy or can only work under specific conditions. Those are definitely penalties, as they limit the moves' usage and hamper their potential.

  • My point is that Return doesn't have a penalty whereas all of the attacks you listed do. The conditions for the moves you mentioned are conditions in which you can't always use them consistently whereas Return can. Return DOES have a condition, but this is achieved entirely outside of battle and can be manipulated at will.

  • i think hes a haxer no one has metergross in a master ball

  • @windwaker0rules ya mine is becuse its vary hard to get in pokemon colossum

  • yeah i forgot about that but even then the chances it's real without proof are very slim u must agree.

  • ya i guess you right

  • You know who I'd love to Wi-Fi battle....Ken Sugimori!!! If he can't win every battle, I would have to question his sanity! ^^

  • Why? He's an illustrator. He draws these things; he doesnt necessarily play them. You'd have to play against a game tester if you want a veteran at the game.

  • i agree

  • do people still play this game online?

  • There are plenty of people still playing this online.

  • i still play online

  • i thought steelix would be bigger....

  • What a pansy-@ss, disconnecting like that!

And he was SO predictable. The only thing I didn't see coming was Meteor Mash instead of Bullet Punch but I guess he was looking for the atk boost.

Good game. I love your use of UU/NU.

  • i agree

  • It's okay. I have no immediate need for Metagross.

  • you sure?

    i can train it

  • Of course not. I do all the training for my Pokémon myself.

  • and anyways if he did train them they wouldnt like you so thats kinda bad

  • teach me some good strategies and tames pwease c:

  • raped by ground types if i say his team so for ninjask and gengar just use a strong fire type

  • You dont need a strong fire type to kill ninjask. Just about everything can kill it in one hit.

  • im saying use a strong fire type for ninjask and gengar

  • Gengar and ninjask are as frail as ever. Thats why most of them are holding a focus sash.

  • I guess since it doesnt track stats (wins vs loses) it doesnt really matter because you still get the satisfaction of winning but its still annoying. It happened to me today. The guy disconected but when I started to search for another person, the same guy came up, although he stuck around to get beat the 2nd time.

  • Did he disconnect again?

  • No he stayed. But since he used the same 2 pokemon to start with (Groudon and Charizard) I beat him even easier, it was a double battle.

  • Yeah it was a pretty good battle, to be honest I dont think I could get Ninjask to survive that long against Steelix, but to watch that for 8:32 just to see him quit is kind of a rip off on his part. Oh well.

  • It is annoying when you see someone disconnect if they feel they're about to lose. It's their way of saying, "You'll never take me alive!"

  • I got a question...I have thsi game, but never did this. If you battle with a Pokemon under the level of 50 just for the match does it go up to level 50, or does it stay it's normal level for the match?

  • In wi-fi, your Pokémon under Level 50 wil be brought up to Level 50.

  • Great battle that other guy was awesome great pokemon.

  • nice battle

  • So what you're saying is

'Overhazard, you are much more popular than I am, yet I must try to tarnish your reputation because I am a jealous fuck.'

Charming. Video views don't mean anything. If the taliban posted a Youtube video, it may get hundreds of thousands of views, but no-one would like it.

  • I'm just wondering something?

WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU STILL DOING HERE?

Does it look like I'm interested in arguing with you?

    NO.

    GTFO.

  • When you stop trying to deface people more popular than you, I will leave you alone. Happy?

  • Stop trying to sound cool by getting into conversations you aren't welcome in.

That was my last word, bye loser

  • You are so jealous...

  • why the hell are you always around to get yourself where you don't belong every time there's a conflict? Mind your own business for god sake's.

The video appears first because it has a lot of views, and it's the reason why overhazard used the program in the first place.

I had a previous account which I used to upload non-pokemon stuff and I was using that program to get 20k views on all of my videos.

  • (cont.)

well, I had tons of traffic, every time someone searched the name of that game, they were sent to my video and thanks to BOT views, I actually got REAL views.

Unfortunately youtube found out and banned me, you're lucky overhazard.

  • Overhazard is not an attention seeking idiot, unlike you

  • It's 0Yarko, what do you expect?

  • hey overhazard whats the function ur rampardoes is used for like whats his role in ur team is the muscle of ur team

  • As a Choice Scarfer, Rampardos is a physical sweeper. There aren't many situations he can't handle.

  • are all pokemon level 50 in this game???
