Back when the majority of rpg's were original and didn't use generic orchestra music. God I miss the in depth stories that these older rpg's would throw your thoughts and imagination into an epic adventure. The story to Xenogears is probably one of the most in depth games there is. Read the book sometime and look into the research that was done for it some time.
@FieryFingers93 Honestly no. The Religious symbolism and concepts in them wasnt as well placed. It was there purely for the sake of being symbolism. Also, from the very beginning the games start out way too complicated. Yeah Xenogear's story was complicated too, but it at least started simple to ease your way into it.
Chased this game down 4 different times because I wore out the discs... and with all that I have yet to actually finish it making it to the end each time I had memory card issues.... digital ones corrupting or a sibling saving over my file. I now own the game at last got it for a pretty penny off amazon but I cant seem to bring myself to beat it now for some reason.......... maybe I dont want it to be over.
@Jess98891 Im glad there is someone else out there that has seen the magic of the world inside this game. I feel like this is an important peice of history. Like it should never be lost to mankind. I would give anything to meet the writer's/creators of the story. To know the mind that was capable of putting together such an extricable piece of uncalcuable beauty.
@p13ty4real I played this game years ago, beat it 3 times. Now I still own the game along with both sound tracks, the Perfect Works artbook, all the wallscrolls, the Japanese guide and the entire Xenosaga set along with strategy guides. This is one of Squaresofts greatest achievement.
#1 RPG of all time. We didn't save the world in a video game, we saved a world we really cherished. This was so magical that here, 10 years later, we are content knowing that we'll never hear from this game again...Still, the song says it all. We didn't play this game, we lived it. Square, of all mistakes you made...not continuing this game was by far the worst.
ah.. the memories...

Definately best game ever made. Story is amazing.
Been through the game several times. Have it on my ps3. I don't think i could handle not owning it. I wish more people could experience this game.

Game had the best JRPG ending of all time. Well worth what was played through the incredibly long storyline. This game's story is A LOT to take in.
