The music was nicely redone for Season 5, and likely it was the best arrangement yet! However, CBS kept the show for only 1 season. Buick provided the cars and they were very obviously placed in every '69-70 episode (Buick also marketed Opels and hence provided the Opel GT Max drove).
Gordon Mitchell (here called "Whitey") and his writing partner, Lloyd Turner, were later producers for the "Jeffersons" - Turner was also a writer for animation, working for WB and Jay Ward.
I love this , thanks

The composer of the music, Irving Szathmary, was comedian Bill Dana's brother. Bill Dana's real name was William Szathmary.

I agree, You can't remake classics!

Never try to remake it for 2008/2009. Let it stay it that way when it was made.....Do not try to remake the characters either.
No wonder remakes fail so often.

I can definitely tell this was from the final season (1969-1970) since it switched networks from NBC to CBS.

Maybe if Gilligan's Island had switched networks as Get Smart did,it would have had(as was originally planned) a season 4 or more.
