I've been studying and collecting information, incl. photos, books, plans etc. on ships for about 35 yrs., I know my models inacuracies. I never set out to build a museum quality model. Life & other projects have kept me from doing a rebuild.
@timbonjovi Its simple Kamerade, other people can bitch when they can present u their video of a better model THEY built. Otherwise tell them to shove off, it looks great.
when you do finally at some point do more detail work,,will you work from original photo's of the battleship?it would be fantastic to see it as it was.
To answer two posts, I had firing main guns planned out, but decided against it. Second, no I dont use a trailer to transport it. I use my car, slide pass front seat all the way forward, fold down rear seat and CAREFULLY slide the ship n. It barely fits, bow against dashboard, stern against trunk lid.
I reckon a new hobby should be to have scale accurate (including the materials)Battleships: scale 1:50, which makes the 15inch gun 7.62mm... I'm sure you can guess the rest :)
edj66, normally i like to run my models @ scale speed but two things were hampering my efforts, holding/operating a camera in one hand while operating the Tx n the other & an esc. with lousey low end control.

Thanks for the positive comments. My Bismarck isnt museum quality by any means. Any model is a work in progress, as you can add detail for years. I've always wanted to rebuild part of the superstructure and add more detail, but I've always been busy on other projects.
A Bismarck model makes an impressive display on any lake. Several years ago I was commissioned to build a 100 scale model of her, with moving and lit up search lights, training and elevating guns and battle sound over a speaker. Afterwards the same customer asked me to build a 100 scale model of an H class super Bismarck model. It got to be about 12 ft. long.
@xMnMonster98x Hi, pls know that I built these large models ( Bismarck and H class Battleships) more than 15 years ago when building materials were quite a bit cheaper. I think the price tag for the Bismarck were around $2000.00 and the H-class $3000.00. If I had to build for someone a 100 scale model of the USS Missouri i would probably have to charge $7000 to $9000 depending on the functions.
Its big. so big. good to see it.
