Stratos being banned wouldn't be a surprise, as much as Magician of Faith coming back would be. There are still a lot of cards that could be abused with MoF. Tsukuyomi should come back way before MoF should.

The other issue is I still feel Plague needs a ban. If you aren't touching Mezuki or Diva , then it needs a ban. Burial alone won't stop damn synchroing from Zombies.

As for this ban list, and i have said it before this is speculative and honestly i do not see many of these making any sense. Crush will not come back, that card is far to abusive and broken, its one of those cards that will not see play again. As for all of you talking about stacking how about actually playing the game instead of cheating eh?

I'm sorry but a "pro" dose not cheat to win, or rather does not have to cheat to win, if he has to cheat than hes not truly that good now is he? Its part of why when i go to SJCNJ i will be watching anyone who shuffles my deck like a freakin hawk cause if i even see anything odd in how hes shuffling I'm calling a judge over. I have no patience for people who have to cheat to win or better their odds at winning.

they should ban Brain Control and Mind Control and bring back Change of Heart at 1. Brain and Mind Control are evil in the same deck. Instead of allowing people to take 2 opponent's monsters, just let them take 1 monster and do what they want with it. It would be balanced by the fact that the other 2 big enemy control cards at 0.

im a lightsworn player and i believe that charge should be limited, its like reinforcements of the army but way better because beside of searching for a lightsworn you mill, its kind of odd like you said that they wouldnt hit charge.

Thats obviously doesnt happen, no one who posted here so far is SJC level at crush card stacking, lol. granted, in OCG, they care far less about winning then anyone else in the world that plays yugioh...the fact that we did get crush as rare was a omen of things to come. plus with allure at 3 is not broken every other draw card is at 3 and necroface is the main reeason why it was broken.

destiny heroes will suck due to no stratos . magician if faith is to slow to be a game changer. i can see it going to 2 the ban list after this.

Yeah but now a days its not a widespread of competitive decks... its like LS, BW, and GB. or some form of them all are being splashed. stuff like honest and COTLB are all being splashed in multiple multiple deck archetypes now. its becoming as bad as pot of greed... as much as i miss that card.

No one has splashed anything GOOD with GBs or BW, since they're too much their own decktype and dont "splash" well. LS has been splashed and with success.

Dude i got news for you the Traditional format was just as centered around 1 type just like it is now. Can anyone remember Magical Scientists OTK? and before that was YATA Hand Control?, then came Chaos and Anti-Chaos? At least now there are multiple competitive decks unlike back then where if you didnt have the 7 staples you were pretty much gonna lose.

Konami doesnt want a SLOW format.

For that reason, you wont see decks of old like Monarchs, and possibly even GBs take their former tier 1 status back. Thats a good thing though, if deck becomes tier one, its had its moment in the sun, time too move on.

I believe Stratos is getting the ban because of Elemental Hero Absolute Zero. Stratos make the summon of Zero very versatile. Taking Stratos out of the equation puts Zero Decks on the same plane as Synchro Cat. It is all about balance. You cannot dedicate an entire deck or side deck to answer a single deck type and expect to win. The game grows and sales look good when there are multiple deck types that can be competitive.

Well if you really havent noticed .. Sure people use lots of darks .. But Allure really isnt any plus's .. You used 2 cards to draw 2 cards .. Its just deck thinning

General draw power is bad, pot of greed is banned because of that and so is graceful charity. Tele-dad used it to practically draaw through half their deck within a few turns so they were almost guaranteed to draw what they needed too OTK and win a game.

pot of greed still counts and general draw power which is bad for the game, then add thats its a generic plus one and you have a canidate for the banlist.

im not 100% against allure being at 3, but I think they were right putting at 2 when they did...and it should stay that way as its as near generic draw power we have left...most decks can splash enough dark monsters like gorz spirit reaper tragoedia add in a few krebons and yeah, you have an allure engine in even the shittiest of decks.

Konami DOES know what cards are gonna be released that havent yet, so we do see pre-emptive bans and limitations on cards before their even released or before we really know WHY they were limited or banned ahead of time in the first place.

you are correct that a decktype that has been tier 1 (in this case Gbs for 2 years) and they raped by the banlist has bounced back to their full former glory on a future banlist, but thats not entirely because said decktype got favored by the banlist (not implaying yoru saying that either) but its the natural progression of ALL card games truthfully, peopel want to play new cards in new decks...not the same deck over again, even if it wins...GBs have had by far the longest reign and people still

Now we have so many dectypes that people just dont give a shit about GBs anymore...and these new decktypes will just outclass GBs, no matter how many times some "prodigy" tries too reinvent them and or make them better. I say that to same people thought old school recruiter chaos/Monarchs were going to be good this format, they obviously sucked ass and failed miserably.
