@losghost They are a very difficult crowd to reason with as you may know. I'm not sure you can ever win against these types. The fact that they have such a large audience is scary. The bible isn't a good book anyways. There are all kinds continuity issues, and plot holes, historical inaccuracies abound.
The characters are shallow and one dimensional .
I did find the sections on beating my slaves handy though--Exodus 21:20 “Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result, but they are not to be punished if the slave recovers after a day or two, since the slave is their property."
