Yeah, STIII is Orpheus and Eurydice with a happy ending for sure. I picked up on that when I first saw it (I was ten years old watching my parents' old VHS tapes from the 80s). It confused me a lot until I finally understood the notion of slash when I got to high school. Then the parallel made more sense. Of course, I've always been a bit of a mythology nerd even when I was tiny.

Naphatarie, it was indeed Farfalla's mention of that analogy that inspired me to make this vid. (Heh, and it was the idea of combining ST and this song that in turn made me check the rest of my Herd collection with K/S in mind; therefore, logically, I should thank Farfalla for inspiring all my Herd vids!
