@ChingaChe Actually, Jose Napoles was welterweight king at the time.Napoles was lucky that Duran didn't step up to welter at that point because this Roberto Duran would have would have whipped him like a scalded dog.

I dont remember what year it was but if they only fought once I watched it on tv and was rooting for Lampkin because he was from Portland...but the heart of Duran, the heat and the Panamanian crowd was way too much for Lampkin even though he fought a great fight. Pound for pound Duran was, and always will be, the best around
