Tradition is at Kansas. If you're going to go off of wins it's clearly Kentucky, even though some of those early wins are a little tainted. Basketball lives and breathes in Allen Fieldhouse. It is the holy ground where the game was created and mastered. That cannot be topped no matter how many titles your school has.

Oh yeah, Kentucky for sure has the most decorated tradtition in college basketball history. I'm a Bama fan and despite us being a football powerhouse( we are the Kentucky of football in the SEC) we are the second winningest team behind the Cats in the SEC and it is a shame that Bama has never won a Basketbal championship especially with the good teams that Wimp Sanderson had. Maybe Anthony Grant can bring an NCAA title home. Hope the Cats bring the National title back to the SEC this year!

If Kentucky is the Alabama of basketball then it was the beat down of Alabama's segregated football team by the racially integrated USC Trojans that destroyed their myth of white athletic superiority, then it was Texas Western which did the same for UK basketball and their often very-racist fans. The Kentucky Wildcats, 2004 wins (the most in CBB history), 7 National titles, 13 Final Four appearances, around 40-50 conference championships, Championships with 4 different coaches, the most dominant team for the most decades excluding 2000-2009. Back-to-back Nat, Championships in 48&49, three attempts @ National Championship in 96, 97 and 98 (two of which years were won.

Sorry, Uk is #1 when it comes to tradition.

How about UK has led NCAA attendance for the vast majority of the past 30+ years? Loud fans arent the only way to measure passion. Just like NCAA titles, Final Fours, and all-time wins arent the only ways to measure the success of a program (all in UK's favor over KU).
