Ive never met an asshole so commercial that keeps insisting hes "not a commercial guy at all..." I love his imagery and it IS art whether you like it or not. Hes a graphic designer first and foremost. he blows up his Photoshop and Illustrator designs and pastes them on walls and t-shirts. I an artist and what he does is art (in a way) but teh fact that he constantly syas hes not commercial makes him the fake ass cunt that he is.

Fuck the haters. They are clearly jealous. People try to accuse him of plagarizing other art, but he even said himself that he is referencing them.  He is taking famous art, and making them in an Obey style. I wouldn't call that a parody, but I would indeed call that a reference!

@TwistyGonet2J Yeah, anyone who criticizes anyone famous is just jealous, that's all there is to it. The world is that simple and convenient for Fairey. He totally made transformative changes to Rene Mederos' work by slapping a small obey logo on the corner and doing absolutely nothing else, or the IWW poster by removing the background and putting obey over the top. He knows and respects the background of the art he "references" too, that's why he refused to use the Schutzstaffel insignia.
