  • 28 people have absolutely no brain and had no idea what the thumbs down button meant

  • Awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I would pay to see her

  • I've been playing the piano for 9 years, I'm 14 and played this only last year. Watching a 7 year old playing it makes me feel like a piece of crap...

  • poor child...

  • my latissimus if far bigger - why can't i play like that? :)))

  • Babygirl is a mad genius and I love her playing! I get excited whenever there's a new video. She gets better and better. And she plays like she loves it. She's also not mechanial or by any means perfect...which I LOVE! I hope to see her play in concert some day. I'd pay good money. Having played since I was 9, I admire and respect her talent. :)

  • Do you have evidence that she is being forced? If not, shut up and enjoy. And some people down there seem a bit too arrogant and proud and racist. You lot should get over yourselves.

  • @LaBeateAnge at the age of 5 she was playing like i've never seen before, at the AGE OF 5! a child does not know what it wants (it has fantasies for god sake) while she shure is good i like her and i do not hate asians nor do i like the way parents "force" their children to play. They do it to please their parents which is cute, but it isnt cute when there is something else in its life it wants to do and it tells it to its parents. this is a clear case of "forced" talent.

  • it's amazing that she could interpret the music being so young. What an incredible gift - hope she can share it with the world without the world pulling her down!

  • WOAH HOLY CRAP THIS KID IS SO G........oh wait, shes asian

  • @Doctorpwnage101 ahahah! and that makes her better than you are or will be!

  • É a maior prova da Reencarnação!!

  • Perfect Fingers move NICE BE COOL !

  • To play that well, you have to feel the music, she doesn't look bored, she looks as if she is concerntrating. What a little star she is.

  • oommgggggg.... I envy she!!!!!! :'(

  • @ranthony1903 How do you know that she doesn't like to play the piano and how do you know her parents exploit her

  • ah how i love long long ago =D

  • She is a wonderful pianist, and precious!

  • i love her playing. But I also agree with ecomusic135. She looks really really really bored and some parts are too tough for her you see. So sad. Does her parents really wanna have a prodigy child to earn fame just through their children's musical talent?

  • Sounds like 50 different songs! She looks bored |:\

  • @ecomusic135 yeah is cuz she is playing different songs... and she isn't bored she just focused on what she is playing. A kid just cant be so good at something if he doest like it

  • @ecomusic135 No she doesn't look bored, she is concentrating what she doing.

  • @ranthony1903 or... shes not lazy like you fatass.

  • Does anyone know the name of this song???

  • YOUR AMAZING!! I WISH I WERE YOU!!

  • I really like her hand form! Sugoii!

  • mmm... album de la juventud!!! lindooo!

  • how does it call...its from schumann and then?

  • 彼女があまりにも多くの才能かわいいです。曲は、彼女が再生されているかを教えてください

  • itz good to be born with a talent that obvious. my only talent is to upset my parents. whyyyyy?????

  • @MayadIdub hey, it's not your fault they didn't make you sit in front of a piano for hours on end :) you can start doing something now, if you like piano, get an electronic keyboard and start, you don't even need a teacher, everything you need is online. or drawing. or writing, though i think that's more of a thing that has to come to you, like having ideas, not just writing for the sake of it. anyway, just pick something that appeals to you. maybe you're good at sports. or... chemistry.whatever

  • what level is she?

She's really good though her left thumb hangs out a little (maybe she was sitting a little side ways?)

  • what level is she?

  • @erinsun98

ask her mom on her channel. They have a very warm fond close relationship - as you can see in their 'home studio' clips.

  • They are wannabe's and talented artist out there...but this.... this... this is how you call... Gifted... Mozart, Balch (& all others)... were geniuses of the past... Heroes born and die... its just how well of a legacy they leave behind... good luck to you...

  • The world we live in isn't so bad after all.

A seven year old with such prowess kinda like David-Gulaith story

  • She is doing great! Can she play "Shadows on the moon" by Shumann?

  • You play beautifully! I have tears rolling down my cheeks... Thank you so much!

You must have spent a lot of time practicing. GREAT job!

  • the second song i learned at her age also but the first one i can't play now!

  • I imagine that she's been doing the Suzuki method and this is book five? Because if you played that bach gigue, then this is the last piece in book 5. [I know because I do suzuki method..but i'm replacing the Schumann pieces with other things.]

  • @xxgwyloxx I mean the pieces she's playing. What are the odds she chooses Schumann pieces from the Suzuki criteria??

  • Comment removed

  • Excellent! Keep practicing and you will go far. Your talent is very obvious. You play with such feeling and you are technically very good.

  • Very well done by a highly talented little one! Never stop .

  • if her parents hadnt sent her to piano class, who would have discovered this talent in her?

asian parents push their kids to classes, yes.

white parents dont. whats the reason behind huh? freedom? funny

  • この誰もが一緒にくちずさみたくなるような演奏は最高です!

    いいなあ!

  • I can rub my tummy with my left hand while simultaneously patting my head with my right. I was able to do this at 15 years of age. We all have hidden talent if we care to try looking for it

  • have her learn Dance of the Sugar Plum Faries!!

  • I wish my parents pushed and forced me to play the piano at such a young age...*sigh* Oh I would love to play classical pieces and perform in front of crowds. :)

  • Wow lucky that she got to learn at such a young age, I'm just starting at 15 but I've always envied people who play. I just got a piano! :D I'm learning, Le Onde, Clair de Lune and Moonlight Sonata. It's really hard because I don't know how to read music. But I'm getting there slowly but surely thanks to youtube tutorials! Thanks for the lovely music paddler16!

  • ...Notice she has no sheet music in front for her.

Well, that's the product of giving your kids piano lessons instead of Barney and Elmo..?

  • @Feline132 I know several famous chinese and japanese ADULT pianists . You'd be stupid not to know them. Or you just don't pay attention to music. Yuja Wang, Mitsuko Uchida, and Lang Lang among others are EXTREMELY famous in the musical world and they ALL started when they were at least 4 years old. I don't see whats wrong with it.

  • She plays brilliantly :):) I would give her a hug if i saw her :):) hehe shes so concentrated... i cant even bring myself to be jealous really shes obviously worked so hard and passionately, she deserves to be able to play so well :) xXx

  • she looks very calm and concentrated on what shes doing! and the way she moves.. she is obviously passionated with piano! if she was forced to do it she would be scared and nervous, coz she is just a KID!

  • AMAZING!

  • my parents must be ssooo proud of me... T-T

  • Why can't people just enjoy the music instead of judging a KID when all she does is to play beautifully! Who care she is an Asian or not!

  • @airva21901 its not about her being asian, its about her being the dream of her parents. If she enjoys hrs of training, discipline and pressure from her parents and coach everyday. then its goood fr her.

  • Bravo. My answer to your note is that it is very unfortunate that people are still racist in this world.

  • Bravo. My answer to your note is that it is very unfortunate that people are still racist in this world. Brown and yellow, black or white, all are precious in God's sight.

  • @theodias She doesn't believe in God XD

  • @bsd300d If you were a real musician, you would know that the world of music is universal. No matter the race, or where the music originated from. Only those who are foolish will judge talent based on a persons ethnic background.

  • It's amazing!!! I hope, she loves it, and not only her parents!!!

  • Comment removed

  • wow she plays it as if her parents don't force her to. she is so concentrated. i

  • I BET SHE GROWS UP AND DOESNT WANT TO PLAY PIANO BECAUSE HER PARENTS MADE HER THROUGHOUT HER CHILDHOOD...SHE IS FANTASTIC AND AMAZING

  • @CABLEMANAGER its very hard to say what she will do... she certainly seems to love it now. she also shows great maturity compared to the other proteges i've seen here on youtube. all one can do is wait and see if she is willing to stay with it.

  • great job!

  • Look at her muscles. O_O

But yes, if she didn't want to play, she wouldn't.

Props to her! I can only play Chopsticks and a little over double her age!

    Good for her!

  • She looks like she likes it so maybe her parents didn't push her to play.

  • they alway have b asians

  • @sunsetskyhell This is because most Western children are brought up on a diet of pop junk. Their parents don't know any better.

  • @hnk777 im 14 and play alto tenor and bari sax with some piano and yet i get categorized for being an American? And Asians get done what they do because there parents don't let them vegetate like most parents do.

  • @sunsetskyhell Maybe if parents stopped sticking their kids in front of the tv all the time......everyone can have a better chance....but this kid has a natural talent for piano.......

  • @101division44

exactly- one can tell paddler loves playing the piano like some kids love making monster cookies!

  • She plays this with such grace. I wish I could play like her. I've been in lessons for four years every week and can't play a song nearly as good as you play any of these songs. I can play the second song "Happy Farmer" but none of the rest. VERY GOOD JOB.

  • To say that memorizing music that has changed the world stunts creativity is the same as saying we should never reenact Shakespeare's plays, or read great books because we might replicate them in some way. Well, if that's going to influence the future, then I say bring it on.

  • I like how no one can make pianist music like priviest times..instead we just repeat it..bores me but this girl is excellent and exceeding at piano on a different note.

  • No sheet music shows me that she put hours in memorizing this peice. Memorization is not skill. This is where I think this type of playing ruins what I think playing and feeling music is all about.

  • WEEABOO

  • Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing that with us.

  • @grnwvfm I agree just incredibly talented and smart. What this world needs more of now that the human race has sold out XD. Ready to move to Japan myself 90% of the community is eco friendly lol.

  • i bet she took after listening to one of her parents or relatives playing, or some sort of role model, otherwise, if she did it on her own free will like that..ill be damned!

  • amazing!

  • Funny how pretty much all the youtube videos showing young pianists are asians.

  • @Ihateinvalidusernam1 Cause we pwn.

  • @ashikaru132 *agreed.* ASIANS RULE AT PIANO!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

  • Cerebellum GET

  • The experience i have from when kids are playing instruments is that there is usually a lack of feeling. Well not in this case.. The feeling is there. Very good! //

  • shes is not forced... she wants to play and i know her cuz shes my cousin so dont be like that!!!!!

  • Where's the sheets? Nvm nice ears =P

  • @NekoGial Uhh...........it's a recital. You're not suppose to have sheets. That shows that you're evn more skilled enough that you can memorize your song.

  • @ashikaru132 ooohhh tks for the news! When I took leasons I had the sheets but I never looked at them coz it was bothersome =P

  • i think if she didnt want to do it, she wouldnt be doing it. maybe they just got her started.

  • you're daughter is beyond amazing..

  • that kid is amazing!

  • she plays this piece quite well. in terms of the chatter back and forth about her parents, its hard to say because you do not know any history about her parents. yes, most kids her age are out and about playing, but maybe she enjoys the music. but i can also see the parents being nazi's and this is why she plays well. there is not way we know the truth by watching this video.

  • @philaboston I don't know her or her parents personaly, but her parents and I have conversed via email at times and I do know that she is not forced. Also unless she wants to play piano more than one hour a day that is her choice to make.

She is not an abused child, her parents just want us to enjoy her music.

  • ho la vache eu non ho la petite quoi!!!!

  • She has such wonderful musicality for someone her age! Her parents can't force that on her. This is true talent.

  • what is the second song that she's playing?

  • @flamingvacuumcleaner

I have to say that I agree...

  • I made that green bar graph grow a little farther to the right. You earned the high rating.

  • that is amazing my name is autumn i am a top pianist too i would love to meet you sometime lil gurl you have a bright future believe me

  • merci de France! excellent! inspirationale

  • Listen to her at eight. She has more freedom, and she might develop into a good Bach-player. She is solid.l

  • there are thousands of robotic little asiatics who can play, but have you ever heard of a japanese composer? hahahaha

  • heyy!!! i play this on the violin !!!! and its sooo easy !!!

  • Very nice........=)

  • wow... o.o i played the second piece at about 2:08? when i was 10 x] i applaud her :]

  • Wow! You applaud her? I bet that means a lot to her; but it only means a lot to her because you were such a skilled pianist at 10 years of age! Congratulations :)

  • haha by the time this girl is 10 it'll be.. haha just amazing :]

  • Big Shiny 5/5 Stars from Czech Republic.

  • This reminds me of practicing! lol She is sweet!

  • I hope that i will c my son someday like her or like me, she plays amazing for her age

  • pure genius.....i'm from romania

  • She´s amazing

  • Good! I am japanese and l live in Japan! I am 11! Love you!

  • Very nice playing! :D

I am amaze with her ability

I found a very FUN practice for your daughter and wish that she take take on the challange :)

Try run through all her peices by playing as light as she can on the keyboard. (peddle are alow to sustain the tiny light sounds) don't need to put emotion, just focus on playing light and gentle ^^

This will help her a lot on grasping the music (it works for me)

  • Comment removed

  • I'm not trying to critisize her ability, just something I found it fun and learn a lot doing such drill. I love to teach and hope that people found my discovery work ^^

    Cheer~

    -kenenth84

  • You spelled criticize wrong (even with spell check), and you're also a dillhole. I don't think I need to back up my statement.

  • Smartass.

  • my parents made me learn piano for years. i did love it, and i did stick with it for a time. after sometime i didn't like it anymore, and when i decided that, within a year it was all but cut completely out of my life. my brother also studied piano, and he never liked it, and quite years before me. my sister studied piano, loved it, move onto voice and guitar. she's now a music student at a prestigious university.

nothing wrong with this girls parents pushing her to learn and excel.

  • looser ....

just joking haha ... great girl miss... good girl ^^

  • i only learned how to play piano when i was 10

  • Stunning, i remember loving playing those works. Much love and success! x

  • @harleytuca Je suis tout à fait d'accord avec toi. N'empèche que c'est quand même magnifique !!!

  • people would kill for a gift like this, there is nothing wrong with her practicing, not every child prodigy is going to turn into a regressed adult like michael jackson... just because she is a genius doesnt mean she doesnt have a kids life

  • She's so little...

  • what´s the name of that piece? She´s great, Go on!

  • What song is this/

  • Her parents aren't being cruel: they can't decide her own destiny. It is she who want to be good, because she is doing it on her own. ^^

  • @7g7a7a7r7a

Her family is leading her into a well educated upbringing. When she's older, she can do whatever she wants for the rest of her life. I would rather make sure my kid did something with their life, and still enjoy things in their life with discipline rather than them being snotty nosed brats doing nothing with themselves.

  • @chyiochan nothing? i bet they can play a mean guitar on WII...

  • @utubuser10

Wat. I don't have kids yet! :D And I've never purchased any of those Rock Band deal games!

  • @chyiochan False dichotomy there, ceasing to use force in education doesn't mean a child falls all the way down to being a spoiled brat.

  • @ac1th

I never said to force education. Playing is education in itself. But kids with NO disipline in their lives turn into snot brats. Please, show me an example where parents say no to their kids and they listen all their life not fighting back? The chances are so rare it would have to be how the child was raised since the start!

There is a RANGE of different kinds of dicipline. You are the one being so obtuse!

  • @chyiochan Well I guess it makes sense to you the way you wrote it, I just misinterpreted it. I associated "enjoying things in their life with discipline" with some of my old teachers and my family, who were deluded idiots. In that case, discipline destroys your ambitions as soon as you are old enough to break free.

Well I hope you are not like that.

  • @ac1th

I apologize if you misunderstood what my implications were. I absolutely loathe parents who think fun should be educational. (I love education being fun, though) But all children need a type of discipline in their lives. Children will rebel if you lock them up. Giving them the creative freedom is what they need as well as boundaries. My children can choose whatever they wish with their ambitions! :)

  • @chyiochan

You must read description to understand why she's being teached piano. Her parents want to be "proud". But I'd love to play like her

  • @7g7a7a7r7a

she's too small to do smth on her own. SHE is who cant decide.

  • @Feline132 your kidding me. i was only 4 when i wanted to play the piano or cello. im playing cello now and teaching myself how to play piano. you cannt just say that. and YOU are just jealous. admit it.

  • @gojjkjkmtl1117 in 4 you only WANTED to play piano or cello or whatever else but NOT play. look at this girl, she'd started to play at least a year before. Talk to psychologist, in 3y a child is hardly a person and the one (not physical) wish that she/he has is fun, not hard work. jealous? why should i? do you know at least one really famous japanese or chinese ADULT pianist?

  • @gojjkjkmtl1117 no, i'm not, i played the same piece when I was almost 6 and i think that's good enough.

i don't know why exactly you wanted to play the piano or cello when you were 4, but i think you weren't actually aware how hard it is and what exactly it means to be a musician. that's why i still think it can't be entirely child's choice.

  • @Feline132 It is hard, but if you have a desire to do something, which this girl does, you'd do anything to achieve it. And maybe to your standards that was good enough and sure i believe it was,. but she has an expectation-a goal- to be the best of the best. I've wanted to play the cello at 4 because the sound was intruiging. The music i play through gets the emotion out. I'm pushing myself to become better and better.. I don't want to be a pro, but I set a goal of how advanced I want to be.

  • @gojjkjkmtl1117 Why are you so sure that THE GIRL has a goal to be the best of the best? Maybe it's parents goal to see their precious child to be a prodigy.

To be a musician you have to love the work with piano/cello, not just the sound. Ok, I believe that now you like this work as well, but thats only now, it comes with comprehension, I'm not sure this child has this understanding.

I just hate when parents force their child to be "the best of the best" just because of their ego.

  • @Feline132

You're not judging this because shes asian right ? because from the other comments, it seems that people have a problem with that. Shes out there in the world of music looking for its true meaning. (im jumping around but i dont want to organise this paragraph.)

1.) Her parents wanted Sora to find something to do with her life -experiment- so they had her try piano. She liked it and THAT's why she's playing. maybe her parents have something to do with it, but they're not forcing.

  • @gojjkjkmtl1117 Oh I'm really not, I have nothing against asians))

Ok, I'm only glad for the child, if parents really aren't forcing her, because most of the time that's how it is - parent wanted to be a musician or somehow connected with art, but now time has passed and so he/she wants the child to be that way. And if the only one "childhood's toy" is the piano, so it's naturally that the child likes it.

  • Though I still doubt it, because there is really A LOT of prodigies that young, but afterwards almost all of them suddenly disappear... And I was always wondering, if noone forced them and that was their own choice - where are they now? what has changed?

But ok, these are just my philosophic thoughts))

Hope Sora will be that rare exception and we'll hear about her in the future as well and watch more videos here on YT =)

  • @Feline132

This is becoming jumbled up and I don't remember what we were talking about, but yeah, I'll agree with your final paragraph.

  • She has the talent. I think the parents are just trying to help it bloom. Which is awesome! I take care of a 6yr old girl and for any 6 yr old to be able to do that they require talent and descipline, which she clearly has, I don't think i would be able to see such performance if she was 100% MADE to do it agaisnt her will.

  • OMG!!☺☺☺☺☺

  • wow

  • shes obviously destined to be much more than a kid playing in the dirt... and you cannot force a child to practice and actually get good, shes good on her own will.

  • @unibomber111

you can tell she loves it....and I'd much rather listen to kids than old guys

  • cruel i think not, watch the rest of the videos there are of her. Gather your facts before you make assumptions, and judgments I see an piano artist, There is no kid that should be doing this or that, or be like this or that, you must have been a prisoner yourself when you were a kid as you are casting your impressed shadow of what you think is right on another why not just see, hear and enjoy what she is playing and leave it at that.

  • Classical music is in a whole other level than deathcore, man.

  • tja fragt man sich nur warum sie in keiner ihrer videos lacht ...-.-

i ask myself why she never laugh

  • Ever seen someone laughing while playing a recital?

  • Incredible. She must be a prisoner in her own home and is forced to play the piano every day or else she gets the whip...kidding- the belt strap to the back.

  • Comment removed

  • You are very good

    Thanks

    Gilvan(Brazil)

  • this makes me miss my piano playing days :[

  • COOL SHE ROCKS!!!!! Can she teach me?
