Stevenson was well aware of the age issue and addressed it in a footnote. As for the hunchback, I thought there was some evidence of a deformity of some sort (due to the weight of period commentary) but as Richard was known for his military prowess the deformity (to the extent it existed) could not have been a bid deal. Tudor propaganda filled in the rest.
The deformity was never noted upon during his life time, reports from the time say he was the second handsomest man, second only to his brother Edward. which was a compliment considering Edward was rumoured to have slept with half of London LOL. in fact there was no bad mouthing of Richard until he became king in 1483 but this was due to a few problems that arose because of the succession.
But i definitely agree that Richard was a good military leader and the Tudors helped blacken his name.
I watched this so i could cheat on my stupid AR test... PROBLEM OFFICERS???

ok i have to say a few things:
Richard crook-back/ Richard III was 8 during this time period.
He did not have a mustache nor can it be proven he had a hunched back.
Rant over ^^

In the 80'ties there ran a comic book series in my country (Belgium), called "Ivor" which showed some simmilarity to the story, without cpying it.
