  • When was this?

  • wait, was this ecw ecw or wwe ecw

  • @azholDooshbag This was ECW ECW.

  • @LorranJade I caught that too. That was great. And the roar he let out with the tune. classic

  • 5:56 - "I must not fail"

    You haven't, Punk.

    Best in the World.

  • me gusta esa musica con la que entraba

  • And a legend was borned!!

  • 6:04 HE TEBOW'ED

  • CM Punk wrestled indies in PA for a while before this so most of the people knew who he was and loved him already.

  • cm punk is a whiny nerd now

  • @jamexxxxxx Well guess what, mind your own damn business! Do you want ziggler to be champ!

  • I like the way J.Roberts say "From Chicago , Illinois"

  • @Nhok1bui What the hell are you talking about?

  • i dont get how his titantron has him wrestling ...in ECW? ROH??

  • @AristideLimIII Thats what i thought, maybe ovw the wrestling is from?

  • Wow he Tebowed before Tebow. This whole match predicted the outcome of his career and life. Mind=Blown

  • Wish they would have shut the hell up about Botchista -.-

  • Justin Credible has got to have one of the greatest names in history!

  • Holy shit, he even said "It's clobberin' time!" back then... I never realized that. I think that alone makes his entrance one of the best lol

  • @deanml116 he sed it before he came in wwe

  • @deanml116 I was thinking the exact same thing..lol..

  • punk Tebowed before it was cool

  • Why was credible fired again?

  • This is how you know you've got over if ECW fans are chanting your name over an ECW original's lol

  • from a PUNK

    to be a CHAMPION

  • 6:16, whats going on with the dude in green's shirt?

  • @Trialbyscythe WTF...

  • Who to know this man (CM PUNK) would single handedly save WWE

  • His first match, and he gets an ovation like that, are you kidding me? Fucking epic. This man cannot be stopped.

  • IT' S CLOBBERING TIIIIIIME!!!

    Straight Edge for Ever!!

  • CM Punk's titantron beginning shows he's in ring wrestling so how's this his debut?

  • @619wwebmw Ever heard of OVW? I suggest you check it out on wikipedia.

  • @TheFallenVolrath Is that where Punk wrestled earlier?

  • @619wwebmw ovw probably

  • @SoAndChobe i checked ovw afterwards..it was ovw

  • @619wwebmw sweet :)

  • @SoAndChobe :D :D CM Punk the champ is here!!

  • WHAT YEAR WAS THIS???

  • @clownero 2006

  • I miss ECW and Joey Styles, great match.

  • When he dropped to one knee, he stamped a shockwave of light through out his career.

  • that was great debut, even if it was a squash match. He had two or three good spots with the suplexes, but overall goldberg didn't stand a chance against cm punk

  • @curthaynes Goldberg??

  • 0:37 "It's clobbering time!" I didn't know he said it back then, wow

  • And then a legend was born I only tune in to see daniel bryan, zack ryder, and the straight edge legend cm punk

  • uggh i see kids!

  • @baileybushey yeah, but they're the cool ones. Not those snot-nosed kids that support John Cena.

  • @IR305 oh

  • I love these guys already knew who Punk was, perfect timing Heyman!

  • ehm... is it just a coincidence that he debuted on the same person as Batista? O_o

  • It´s clobberin time!!!

  • He was so over on his debut. A really good debut for a future world champion.

  • cm punks long hair lol. he should grow it out again lol

  • see smarks, how a lot of people were fans before the whole "pipebomb" thing. wrestling fans will always find something to complain about.

  • the only good thing about the day CM Punk retires is that it will be the day we get 2 things....

the DVD/whatever collectors edition of CM Punks WWE career.

    and....his AUTOBIOGRAPHY!

But let that day be years from now, the Second City Saint has only just begun.

  • This is one of the most incredible matches in recent history, really. It's nice to see ACTUAL wrestling and martial arts skill in even scripted fights these days.

  • @not2shabby you know the "martial arts" thing was a gimmick. cm punk doesn't really know all that muck martial arts. he's really more of a mat-technic/semi-highflyer

  • @Anihero69 Punk actually does have a legit background of BJJ so he knows a little MMA

  • @gutairhero92 yeah, but not as much they hype up

  • True wrestling fans were in that arena that night.

  • @Galaxyzqt thats NYC for ya, i was there on this night

  • @Galaxyzqt true wrestling fans are always in the hamberstein ballroom

  • LOL, CM Punk even said: its clobbering time!!!!

this guy is the best in the world!

  • @jaffaraod gross the thing? really? he sucks

  • @jaffaraod he says that before every match.

  • this was a fantastic match, justin credible could of made it big in the wwe, if was givin a chance

  • 4:21

  • Comment removed

  • Seriously it's CM Punk's debut?!?!

  • I miss this music

  • Isn't it crazy to see how his style has changed. Everything he did in this match was the kind of thing you would have seen on a consistant basis. He does maybe 20% of it still. Moving onward and upward, and taking on the moves to match.

I'd say he's this generations Stone Cold, which is quite something considering their gimmicks are 180 degrees from eachother.

  • Cm punk is cool, but what about the opponents. they lose mainly bcs thy're told & scripted to lose. There's no great hero without a great villian. I'll also root 4 the underdog Justin credible

  • This i where a Legend was born, Man its crazy how big he is now AMAZING!!

  • the voice of the voiceless

  • we never get to see real debuts like this anymore

  • nice chain suplex into a submission by Punk at the end. I admit, that was a great finish in this match!!!!!!!!1

  • If this was in HD it'd bore me. But since it's not, it's amazing.

  • cm stands for Chicago Made

  • @FearLess3095 no it doesnt u moron, cm punk said it himself....Chick Magnet

  • @FearLess3095 or cookie monster

  • what date was this?

  • 1. the cheer

    2. the music

    3.he love's pepsi cola

    4.he's awesome

  • Yeah, ECW fans in the 90's were smart. they knew about other organizations.. internationally and independently. those of us who are WRESTLING fans, not just WWE fans, knew who Punk was years before he ever even appeared on national TV.

  • He got chanted his name in the debut match!? awesome

  • @Darazz He had established his name in Ring of Honor which is always in NYC and northeast. We knew who he was already and that he was one of the best.

  • That is a ECW Arena.

  • lolol just noticed right now " Just Incredible"

  • OMG how he can have a entrance video whit some his moves in his debut match OMG WTF!!

  • @JinPhoenixwwe he came to WWE from another independent wrestling territory.

  • @CrazyBenoit2000000 yes i know ROH TNA and more but look to his titantron he have a some clip whit CW Anderson and the match whit CW is next week Until this map whit J.Credible

  • i wanted an roh chant

  • @eresos77 Listen around the 1:40-1:50 mark. You can hear it somewhat.

  • @outlaw2747 im not sure if its an roh chant but your propably right

  • @eresos77 The sound quality on this video is pretty bad, but as I recall from the original airing (which between this and Show/Batista, was fairly memorable), it was an ROH chant.

  • and thus the legend was born lmao

  • don't you miss that TV-14?

  • risky business debuting CM Punk in a strong 'real' ecw crowd. but heck they probs loved him since he was a paul heyman guy. or an indy guy. yeah buddy.

  • i miss "this fire burns".

  • And actually, I really don't care anymore, Cm Punk will never be as big as Austin or the Rock, or Mick Foley for that matter. The WWE hasn't been the same since they left.

  • @Kitsterino, He might have been made regionally before the WWE, but the WWE made him an international star, oh an ECW is owned by Vince McMahon.

  • @jleary6 As you can clearly see in this video, he was over with the crowd from his very debut. The WWE didn't make CM Punk. CM Punk made CM Punk.

  • Vince McMahon made CM Punk, & John Cena, it's not real you know!!!

  • @jleary6 cm punk was made before WWE. he has been in a lot more companies than just WWE.

  • It's a shame someone as awesome as Punk debuted on a shitty show like ECW

  • Justin Credible and John Cena and TY Daltin made C.M. Punk the man he is today, just like Tommy Dreamer did, Paul Heyman too

  • "Been the best ever since day one, when I walked in to this company. And I've been villified and hated since that day, because... PAUL HEYMAN, saw something in me, that nobody else... wanted to admit... Yeah that's right I'm a Paul Heyman guy!"

  • @ElPolloLocoS13 no thats cm punk not you

  • @hootdemon -_- I was quoting CM Punk -.-

  • @ElPolloLocoS13 yeah lol i know i was jst trolling

  • @ElPolloLocoS13 pipe bomb!

  • if i had a dollar for every pixel in this vid i would have 2 dollars

  • what does "IMO" mean?

  • @instinct520 IMO = In My Opinion.

  • @ElPolloLocoS13 ohh ok

  • I LOVE THIS PUNK NO BEARD!!!!!!!!

  • I miss the Hammerstein Ballroom.

  • punk was a way better face than a heel!

  • @sparx9434 Nah he's way better when he's a heel IMO he's good as a face but boring.

  • And a star was born.

  • And thus a legend was born lol

  • Justin Credible was so underrated lol. He coulda been WWE material.

  • @WillFoSkill when John Cena is pushed, every other real talent goes out the door

  • @nflannery59 Naw a lot of other guys just aren't at the main event level lol.

  • @WillFoSkill i know man, just saying that it appears that John Cena gets the upper hand in WWE a whole lot. Ever since mid/late 04/ early 05 he has been put on the heavy spotlight repeatedly.

  • @nflannery59 Well he's one of their top stars so they just like to promote him in the main event a lot.

  • @WillFoSkill yeah he was awesome as Aldo Montoya XD

  • @ramennoodlechef That gimmick sucked, but I'm not surprised WWE takes a short dude and makes him a "lucha dore."

  • CM PUNK has allllwayyysss been CM PUNK!

  • As soon as the "Overrated" chants came in, he such them the fuck up.

  • This was the same episode as the greatest match in the history of ECW...

    Batista vs Big Show >:D

  • IT'S FUCKING CLOBBERIN' TIME!

  • God Dammit no GTS ftw "/

  • @jeffhardysm8 at this time he used the anaconda vise

  • Man, even wwe's version of ecw had better matches than majority of today's matches on raw & sd

  • Was punk a tad heavier back then?

  • Damn Cm Punk should use that kick punch combo again

  • THIS IS NOT CM PUNKS WWE DEBUT....HIS DEBUT CAME IN 2005 AGAINST VAL VENIS ON SUNDAY NIGHT HEAT....check your facts and fix the heading on this video

  • @Fuckmyfatassoneeye his debut in ECW, idiot.

  • Comment removed

  • @eatmydust2003 CHECK YOUR FACTS ASSHOLE...this wasnt his ECW(wwe) DEBUT EITHER....he made his ECW DEBUT AGAINST STEVIE RICHARDS ON A HOUSE SHOW

this was his first televised match on wwe/ecw programing...SO WHOS THE IDIOT NOW CUMGUZZLER

Side note here, if you want to call me an idiot check your fucking facts there papa smurf. You just made yourself look that much retarded.

BTW ECW at this point wasnt ecw you twat...it was WWE, this was just a TV SHOW not a company anymore

  • @eatmydust2003 also if you dont want to count house shows as his debut...HIS DEBUT ON TV WOULD HAVE BEEN THE PROMO HE CUT...again you fucking fail

and again so you know your facts correctly...this was his FIRST TELEVISED MATCH FOR THE ECW SHOW..but not his debut in the wwe, not his debut on this show either...so fuck off

  • @Fuckmyfatassoneeye

You're both wrong, his debute on WWE television was at wrestlemania 22.

  • @Reaprar youre wrong STUPID...His match against Venis was BEFORE WM22

  • @Fuckmyfatassoneeye

Try out matches really do not count as "debuts" because he was not yet with the company, he didn't get signed until after that match - colt cabana had been in five or six of those "try outs" before getting signed, as did Colin Delaney. At WM22 he was actually signed with the company, thus making it a "debut".

Otherwise you'd have to count countless other try-out matches as "debuts" for people who never showed up ever again, nevermind all the darkmatches against locals.

  • Thats where we differ. Under the definition of DEBUT. First public appearance,First appearance of something as a new product(Him on WWE TV), To Appear for the first time....HE DID ALL OF THIS on this day...

Depends on how you look at it. If you wish to go with what you believe than you are right, I am going to stick with mine under the definition of the word...plus its a lot different between him and some guy that never wrestled for the company again.

  • @lilshady235 not since hhh took over

  • They should of kept ECW like this, and then kept it at this venue for all events. That is if they wanted ECW to be their separate brand. Damn they fucked up. Plus this ECW could of been TV-14 while the other shows SD and RAW were still PG doing there own thing. The only time any ECW superstar would be seen with SD or RAW was on PPV's.

  • @lilshady235 sluggish? how is he sluggish? his skills keep improving every day! and yeah he is trying to be different so the wwe can be awesome again!

  • everytime i drink a pepsi i do it in honor to cm punk

  • @lilshady235 how is he an asshole or are you just a lil jimmy?

  • At the first look on his first Tron he looks like a BIG Pepsi maniac.

  • Cena viewed this 23 times.

  • Do you guys think it was possible that Punk was suppose to debut as a heel, until this majorly positive response? I mean, he was facing an ECW Original on his debut and back then 90% of their few ECW Originals were Face.

He sorta seems heel-like due to his smarmy grins and his ignorant (to fans) entrance, just kinda barging through them a bit. I could be wrong, though.

  • Look how far Punk has come.

  • I love that old Bingo Hall

  • @CJMASHUPZTV It's the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. The bingo hall is in South Philadelphia.

  • @MrTvtech9 oh I still love the Bingo Hall. They look the same though lol.

  • Great match perfectly showcasing what Punk is capable of.

It's a shame Vince didn't want ECW to succeed as ECW. It was perfectly possible to keep the company true to it's roots.

  • WOW tonight at summerslam cm punk defeated john cena and kevin nash comes down to the ring powerbombs punk and alberto del rio gets the pin

    WHAT A BUNCH OF BULLSHIT

  • lol fans judge to quickly as soon as they were about to say overrated he impressed them lol

  • I prefer this theme

  • i hate how they spoke about batista at the end of his match....

  • love the hand wriggle thing he used to do

  • If I had a dollar for every pixel in the video, well I would have one dollar

  • @Coolkidgamercheats09 If I had a dollar everytime I read the same exact youtube comment as yours, I'd have alot of dollars.

  • @NewYorkRangers89 Yes you would :D

  • 4:54 "Overa"-KNEE TO THE FACE!

  • @Geotexify thats turnbuckle shinning wizard to you

  • @iannyrockwell I know what it is I was just pointing out that the crowd was about to shout overated, then punk hit the shining wizard and they soon shut up :)

  • @Geotexify My bad bro!n sorry!

  • WWE made John Cena Cm Punk made Cm Punk

  • @bakugandude555 Didn't ROH make CM Punk?

  • @bakugandude555 CM Punk makes nightmares...

  • @bakugandude555 I disagree man, wwe makes everyone. You have the talent, some have more than others.....but in the end you go as far as the wwe lets you.

  • what year is this

  • @abdul7345 2006, and the complete date of his debut: 1/August/2006.

  • @abdul7345 2005 or 2006

  • Comment removed

  • Did you hear that?

    "ITS CLOBBERING TIME!"

He still says that up to this day!
