@kenankuc wow is popular because it appeals to the 10 year old little boys and girls. At least now it does, wotlk was horrible, cataclysm is changing that but it still is a childish game.
I think, for my style of play, that LotRO is a better game, at least for me! I am an RPer and a lot of the things LotRO has (such as costume wear, so I don't have to continuously stare at my ugly gear) appeal to me.
Funny thing, though, how many people tell me I'm wrong. How can I be wrong about what appeals to me?
i think the tank here had done a real god job. i can handle my tank but after 45-50 sec without healing it's really getting hard. and because theses tyranns make bad highcrits. respect
You can beat Sword halls with 1 captain, 1 grd and 1 hunter. I was the grd. As for LOTRO, i love it, its a great game. I am actually thinking about getting my own captain to 50 before i sleep tonight.
onto the Burg topic. Myself and another 65 Burg have been duoing Sword Hall in Mirkwood (one of the 3 man instances) no need for a healer there either :) Thats three bosses with a combined total of over 200K + 18 mobs.
Healers however are handy. as agro magnets LOL
let them heal you and attract the mobs to em :P

@Spamazoid Im happy it will be free to play but limited. no mail, no /tell, max lvl 50 instead of 65, and you have 2 inventory bags instead of 5 (Im already having trouble with "just" 5 of em lol) so it is like a trial, but no time limit. It will attract alot of players AND encourage them to buy it and play it for real. Will be totally worth the kiddie spam at lower lvls :P

But the Vs need not be an issue, each has there own benefits.
WOW has a better Auction House system and is easily moddable to your liking,
LOTRO Graphics and general community attitude is tenfold better than WOW
other than that they are both primarily the same game, just based on different lore. But not sure how many people know the storyline behind Warcraft, wheras millions of people know the general story of Lord Of The Rings.

Lord of the rings Online is a awesome mmo game which attracts usually people over world cos of its known lore. The graphics are shitty cos of youtube quality, in game its all different looking and they're gonna be upgraded to DX11 after it gets released.

LOTRO is good...If a god would give me one ticket for free playing one off these games Wow or LotrO i would definetely choose Lotro...Its more realistic and plus you dont have to see huge armors and 2times gibber swords then urself.The boss monsters are cool and look cool.Not like in wow If its boss it has to be HUGE..OWERPOWERED..AND AGAIN HUGE.

No, his interface is WAYY too large, his chabox is needlessly big, and the two health meters in the middle are defaulted to the top left corner, a lot of people just put it in the middle for raiding.
You can have it so that it's not cluttered up at all. The bottom taskbar should not even be close to covering the entire width of the screen like that.

Look at "The Lich King" If you thing the Lich King is original then you need to read a book or 2. The Witch King has been around since early 1900's. LOTRO ftw.
Minstrels always have a job though, in the end game. Sure you can get a captain to do it, works for Fornost or something if you're high enough level. But the really hard parts need the holy trinity of MMO's; tank, healer and DPS.
Whole Uru with 3 people, only with minstrel onboard. :>
CC helps there's no denying that. But you need someone (or something) to keep the enemies off the softies. Tank or CC, first one is more straight forward. Damage dealers are always needed so the fight doesn't last ages, and damage breaks stuns/sleeps/mez/etc. usually.
I know you could do the tough instances with a group of 6 burglars at one time, now enemies resist effects much more often. Oh and no one's yet bothered to officially mention about this change.
Okay. Quick question. What are the payment methods for this game? Do they have a game card? Or can I use the Ultimate Game Card thing...I don't have a credit card...PM me please, I'd really like to know. I was a beta tester, but wasn't able to play from there at the time. the cool thing about this vid is just we were doing this when raids were still wiping on CG pulls lolz!
I did this exact same group at a lower level a few months ago (I think it was Eastern North Downs) and it was AWESOME! I love playing a burg solo or in a group, and in that one we were able to get through an accidental chain-pull of over ten orange elites, about three at a time. I love how this game never REQUIRES you to have any specific class to get a rockin' group going.
Ah I loved playing in the Ettenmoors, constantly on the look out for scouting wargs, running away from drakes I accidently walked into. They were some fun times!
im going to be making a hobbit burg, is that a good choise or should i go man? i want what looks coolist in all the armore and with the weps. ps im going on a rp server.
If you want to PvP with your burglar, hobbit is not the way to go. The warg pack will find you, and kill you, even with HiPS, Touch and Go and Ready and Able.
well the do have med armor which makes them die. but coupled with high evade/outstanding survival skills a burg can usually get himself out of any problem with TAG/HiPS. but then again, can only use them a couple of times within 30 mins or so.
I would start whit hunter, its what I think is best. if not a champ is to good to start whit. the others i think is for more "experianced" players. dont know about burglar or minstriel caouse i havent tryed them but. from me I would start whit hunter:)
for another good one after a bit of playing would be a lore master, there mainly for crowd control and AOE (area of effect), but they have some cool skills.
hah yea. i think it could be done now, with share the fun to get a grd up there. just have one burg drop group and single pull as always, with the tank standing in a back corner of the room. have him shoot the tyrant and proceed to take him down as usual. might work...just have to prolly eat food/buff/token etc. hah
only thing that stops ppl taking tol normaly is dam raid noobs walking in and out the doorway reseting the dam tyrant, think i saw him get reset like 6 times in a row once, in end leader just dispanded the raid and jumped out the window, tyrant had like a billion buffs.
hah. have a champ, had a capt in beta. burg = god mode.if you want a fun experience pve, different from other classes and you want to be almost untouchable in pvp, burg is for you. hahaha. but seriously i have 4 lvl 50's so alot of classes are good. i chose burg first before anyone knew it was so good, we first few made the way for others on our server. (ps. there were hardly NO burgs at release)
all lotro chars suck actually, its the fellowship idea that make the game rock, only when there is more than 1 char to a team can you do some cool stuff, hence you will get pwned in ettenmoores if you dont take care of you pals and work together.
yea its right if u like pvp buy wow , but lotro has more frp . the thing that i dont like about lotro is sometimes it takes hours to find someone to do quests and create a fellowship
lee i agree but the cool thing is how the makers found a way to intergrade the movie book and its own story base into a pvp system thats fun. And ontop of all of that, to balnce everything out on the creeps and freeps. Another cool thing is in wow is like 20 on 20 but in lotro u can get up to 200 on 200 if u get the amout of players on and then thats where it gets fun because its just like reliving the movie or books:) (my opinion tho)
wow and LOTRO are 2 very dif games tbh.. they both have unique game styles like wow is arcadey. and LOTRO is more realistic wow is mainly bout grinding and gud pvp.. and LOTRO is story based mainly

the lvling is fun in lotro. get gear, learn the game, and lvl farming! its nice! go find 3-5 (or more) ppl, and lvl it together. joke around while farming. chatting etc.. its actually fun. in wow its like, press "make all" come back 10 min after and ur 20 skills up -.- boooring ..
shows how the killing "was".. but for ppl whos trying to find a reason to play this . u play wow i guess(most do (crying )) .
1st reason : this game´s lvling is much better than wow. in wow its either endless mob killing or do "same" qs were u have to kill 10 and then be rewarded with a pair of boots...

If you want PVP go to warhammer if you want PVE Lotro.I was playing wow after 3 years stoped it and enter warhammer but warhammer pvp is good but pve is shit.Then i was back to wow and now I stoped again and playing LOTRO which I am very pleased for what I see.Better graphics than wow and I am on middle earth!!This is amazing to see the Bree the Shire the Rivendeil just awsome!

i played wow for a decently long time aswell but when your maxed it gets boring as hell and quests do get kind of reppetive but i just like 60-70 content, wotlk is just brutal

I agree ... I admit I never thought I'd miss burning crusade. Always thought, the weapons and armor look crappy. Well, Classic won't come back, BC neither, so I installed WinXP on my iMac. Installing LotRO atm :D

oh man, this is cheap... who needs healers? asume the title wants to say "No one?" but you need con. with green to keep up? where is the diffenrecne about CONTROLLED con from a mass of Burgs, to get healing from a mistrel?...burgs where so overpowerd in premoria times.. 4 times dust in the eyes and hell yeah thats a challange! would like to see that group fighting agaisnt a tacticle dmg boss that cant miss cuz of dust.

Minstrels always have a job though, in the end game. Sure you can get a captain to do it, works for Fornost or something if you're high enough level. But the really hard parts need the holy trinity of MMO's; tank, healer and DPS.
Whole Uru with 3 people, only with minstrel onboard. :>

CC helps there's no denying that. But you need someone (or something) to keep the enemies off the softies. Tank or CC, first one is more straight forward. Damage dealers are always needed so the fight doesn't last ages, and damage breaks stuns/sleeps/mez/etc. usually.
I know you could do the tough instances with a group of 6 burglars at one time, now enemies resist effects much more often. Oh and no one's yet bothered to officially mention about this change.

I did this exact same group at a lower level a few months ago (I think it was Eastern North Downs) and it was AWESOME! I love playing a burg solo or in a group, and in that one we were able to get through an accidental chain-pull of over ten orange elites, about three at a time. I love how this game never REQUIRES you to have any specific class to get a rockin' group going.

If you want to PvP with your burglar, hobbit is not the way to go. The warg pack will find you, and kill you, even with HiPS, Touch and Go and Ready and Able.

well the do have med armor which makes them die. but coupled with high evade/outstanding survival skills a burg can usually get himself out of any problem with TAG/HiPS. but then again, can only use them a couple of times within 30 mins or so.

I would start whit hunter, its what I think is best. if not a champ is to good to start whit. the others i think is for more "experianced" players. dont know about burglar or minstriel caouse i havent tryed them but. from me I would start whit hunter:)

hah yea. i think it could be done now, with share the fun to get a grd up there. just have one burg drop group and single pull as always, with the tank standing in a back corner of the room. have him shoot the tyrant and proceed to take him down as usual. might work...just have to prolly eat food/buff/token etc. hah

only thing that stops ppl taking tol normaly is dam raid noobs walking in and out the doorway reseting the dam tyrant, think i saw him get reset like 6 times in a row once, in end leader just dispanded the raid and jumped out the window, tyrant had like a billion buffs.

hah. have a champ, had a capt in beta. burg = god mode.if you want a fun experience pve, different from other classes and you want to be almost untouchable in pvp, burg is for you. hahaha. but seriously i have 4 lvl 50's so alot of classes are good. i chose burg first before anyone knew it was so good, we first few made the way for others on our server. (ps. there were hardly NO burgs at release)

all lotro chars suck actually, its the fellowship idea that make the game rock, only when there is more than 1 char to a team can you do some cool stuff, hence you will get pwned in ettenmoores if you dont take care of you pals and work together.

lee i agree but the cool thing is how the makers found a way to intergrade the movie book and its own story base into a pvp system thats fun. And ontop of all of that, to balnce everything out on the creeps and freeps. Another cool thing is in wow is like 20 on 20 but in lotro u can get up to 200 on 200 if u get the amout of players on and then thats where it gets fun because its just like reliving the movie or books:) (my opinion tho)

the lvling is fun in lotro. get gear, learn the game, and lvl farming! its nice! go find 3-5 (or more) ppl, and lvl it together. joke around while farming. chatting etc.. its actually fun. in wow its like, press "make all" come back 10 min after and ur 20 skills up -.- boooring ..
