The bible is HEAVILY dependent on interpretation, because the original writings of the books that made up the bible was NOT English, they were Hebrew, Aramaic & Greek and these languages ALSO changed over time. So to understand the bible you MUST interpret by taking the cultural AND historical context in which things were said or done into account! 6. In addition didn't Jesus tell us in Mark 10:9 that WHAT God put together, let no man put asunder. So who are you to stipulate which gender comprises WHAT? Weren't we told in Galatians 3:28 that in God we are neither male nor female. Therefore God DOESN'T see sex, He sees our hearts! @gittahfiend What you have failed to see is that those scriptures are speaking to sex done for the purposes of idolatry. It may not be so clearly noted in Lev 18:22, BUT Canaan at that time was known for worshiping idols, including a fertility goddess in which Temple priests would have sex with other men in the form of a ritual to that idol. if you read Ezekiel 16 you will see that abomination refers to idolatrous practices, which is why Paul in Romans 1 also linked the sex act to idolatry.

The basic composite of a gay man is that he is not attracted to women, therefore, if God was speaking to ALL MEN, He would've no need to include ''As with womankind.'' @gittahfiend What you have failed to see is that those scriptures are speaking to sex done for the purposes of idolatry. It may not be so clearly noted in Lev 18:22, BUT Canaan at that time was known for worshiping idols, including a fertility goddess in which Temple priests would have sex with other men in the form of a ritual to that idol. if you read Ezekiel 16 you will see that abomination refers to idolatrous practices, which is why Paul in Romans 1 also linked the sex act to idolatry.

The basic composite of a gay man is that he is not attracted to women, therefore, if God was speaking to ALL MEN, He would've no need to include ''As with womankind.'' Also, if God was speaking to homosexuality in that verse, He would logically speak to lesbianism, BUT He didn't, because His law directed to idolatry.
