Whoops, sorry Jeff, already bought the Gettysburg and Gods and Generals Directors Cuts, which I think enhances the film for those who can tolerate the already lengthy run time.
Dumb n Dumber was released on Blu-Ray in Australia as a Director's cut. I bought it because it had more bonus features but kept the DVD to watch the film on as the theatrical cut is, IMO, better.
Jeff is an amusing man, and great actor. I tend to agree that *some* Directors Cut's are pointless. The odd extra 10, 20 mins tends to go unnoticed because, as Jeff says, they are weak. But for great films like Star Wars, or Lord of the Rings where the extra deleted scenes adds 30+ minutes to the cinema version, it is worth seeing. Especially LOTR where the extra scenes fill in gaps from the books.

@MarcusBritish Yeah, only SOME are pointless. But the DC of any James Cameron film is IMMENSLEY superior to it's theatrical version.
