Now this is an interesting discovery. German heavy metal band from 1970? I've been watching a lot of early heavy bands from this time, and it's quite the revelation. We only remember Zeppelin and Sabbath and maybe Purple, but there were a ton of these bands floating around. What happened? What's the difference between who was remembered and who was tossed out? I think the answer is STABILITY. I think that's the trick to success. Constant lineup changes will absolutely kill your band.
@BenjamminClark Oh, yeah, that's very true. George Carlin said the same thing, that it's mostly luck. And some of that is genetic (the work ethic), which is also luck. I'd like to think that hard work and dedication will give you more chances, and that if you have a good idea (and a unique idea), you will be heard.
@gamesDAMNED I love a band called Budgie.. I think they are a awesome 3 man band..They def are not well know? They are one of my all time fav bands ever.If you have not heard of them try the song Parents by Budgie??Some real great bands just don't get the fame they deserve.. Some real shitty bands get more money and fame than they deserve...Take it easy and have a good 2012.
@mdelair420 Oh, yes, Budgie was a great band. I'd say Squawk & Never Turn Your Back on a Friend are my favorites, but any of their first five albums will do. Once I get my stereo system rebuilt, I'll be hunting down Budgie on vinyl LP.
just now at 1:30 at night, I heard that even now fantastic Krautrockers Lucifer's Friend, the first time in 25 years and over again - phew, my brother had this song at that time on tape and we heard him when I was a sand pit rockers still up and down. A while ago I heard him on the German rock stations online "rockradio de" - this band shows clearly where the rock is amazing! A hammer song! Keep on rockin' from Germany!
Best german band is still Rammstein :P

@gamesDAMNED Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, etc. didn't have very constant lineups themselves.
