i thought this was really thoughtful, as idiotic as it seems it never occurred to me that serra's comment could be so easily extended to YouTube in today's world. so brava. thanks.

Great work. That it's almost impossible to find this kind of dialogue (of comodifying YOU, of co-opting user-generated content and fan communities) going on within Web 2.0 is an indictment in itself of how Web 2.0 is playing out.

Interesting, think the original version was a bit clearer but maybe it's just because we had more time to understand the mechanisms a bit more than regarding today's situation.
