People that say this game is a disappointment probably have no friends.. Games like this and Lil big Planet are the reason u need 4 PS3 controllers. I own an Xbox and off the top I cant think of a good four player game on it, excluding gameshow games.

Bought this game, I was little worried first but after the first tutorial level, im really loven this game and happy i purchased it, i rate it 8.5 out of 10, plenty of weapons and gadgets that interact with environment, cool ass jet pack level, mix of ratchet and clank, super mario, and Lbp is how i would sum it up. Lots of boss battles and different enemy types, epic adventure even with AI buddy. Recommend to anyone.

Also, it's repetitive and there was hardly any break between any combat scenario. Some of us can't go on fighting hoards of monsters in a fictional reality for several hours straight. Although the cut scenes are golden as ever before.

@gok888 Have you even played the game? I bet even if you did, you'd force yourself to hate it out of hatred of change. People need to stop fearing change. This is far from crappy. I've played R&C since the first game and I think R&C1 was my first PS2 game. I still love this and enjoyed the character development (the story is underwhelming, but there IS some character development nonetheless). The replayability is good, the co-op is fun and the bosses are intense. Open up your mind, man.
at least they keep the time periods right. I think crack in time was made 2 years ago, and they mention how that happened 2 years ago. i just don't like it in a game series (final fantasy does it alot) where they go ahead or back a whole bunch of years and don't explain anything. or they totally drop all charactors, make new ones, and then keep calling it the same series. cause guess what, that just makes it CONFUSING!!! cant wait for this game though, love ratchet and clank!!!

@AssasinsCreedBlog That doesn't really make a lot of sense. Everyone is used to being Clank that small; you play as him that small all the time in the regular games. And yes, Clank can turn into Giant Clank, but that's only with specific technology. He can't do it all the time, plus that's his only other size. He's either a tiny robot or a giant robot, nothing in between like he is in this game.

And playing as Clank in the other games, he's still tiny. Nobody has complained about that so why would they start? Not to mention, Ratchet shrunk. The art style is just weird in this game.

@Roki10100 I don't see any issue with it. This title isn't apart of any trilogy anyway-it's essentially a new start to a popular franchise. I like the style change-it suits the already "cartoony" stylings of the genre. We had the Future series, and amazing game with an amazing story. Time for our heroes to kick back and have some fun! Besides, isn't it the gameplay itself what's really important?
Reasons Ratchet looks younger: his ears are longer, he hasn't got dark around his eyes, they are darker green making his pupils look bigger, his mouth looks less slack. His eyebrows look funny. Now that thats outta my system: This game looks HILARIOUS.

Played every R & C game yet, including gladiator/deadlocked and i have to say, tgis game is a major dissapointment, it is ok to innovate but this is simply ridiculous, perhaps this is just a one time spin off like gladiator, but if it's a proper step in the series, insomniac have made a huge mistake
They WILL return to their roots, which they still haven't even gone far from ANYWAY! This is not the first RC game w/ multiplayer, the art style is a brief new direction based on the comics and there's nothing wrong with it. Plus, this game will also be helping the comics introduce more maturity to the series (swearing, realism in actions, etc.).
People keep bad-mouthing this game. Just wait 'til you actually play it. I can guarantee the majority of you will eat your words. Anyone remember Biohazard/Resident Evil? They changed the fourth game and onwards for a reason. It's called KEEPING IT FRESH. Had they continued doing exactly what the first six games did, the franchise would've died quicker. That's what RC is doing with this game (continued...).
This looks great; bright, colourful and nicely designed. I always thought this was going to be a game that would keep players happy whilst development on bigger titles was being done (similar to Quest for Booty).

For example my uncle is in his late 40s, has a wife 3 kids, a decent job and still finds time to play ps3. Hell, my mom loves the faceook games like farmville etc.

uhhh, no one alse thinks that the changing ratchet model is realy gone too far?
i never had any problem with the change since R&C up to R&C a crack in time , but making his head bigger and wider? this is just too much!, i dont mind about the new idea of 4 co-op as long as they keep ratchet's voice and model the same.
i hope that the next R&C will be just like the previous R&C's.
maybe they will use his real, and normal model again in the next R&C

@Roki10100 Wide face means younger? Well they are doing it cause the graphics engine can't handle the crak in time graphics on such a scale so they have had to simplify the graphics and alter the models to make them work with the engine. And azimuth wasn't ugly either. My idea anyway.

@Roki10100 I don't see any issue with it. This title isn't apart of any trilogy anyway-it's essentially a new start to a popular franchise. I like the style change-it suits the already "cartoony" stylings of the genre. We had the Future series, and amazing game with an amazing story. Time for our heroes to kick back and have some fun! Besides, isn't it the gameplay itself what's really important?

Reasons Ratchet looks younger: his ears are longer, he hasn't got dark around his eyes, they are darker green making his pupils look bigger, his mouth looks less slack. His eyebrows look funny. Now that thats outta my system: This game looks HILARIOUS.

Played every R & C game yet, including gladiator/deadlocked and i have to say, tgis game is a major dissapointment, it is ok to innovate but this is simply ridiculous, perhaps this is just a one time spin off like gladiator, but if it's a proper step in the series, insomniac have made a huge mistake

They WILL return to their roots, which they still haven't even gone far from ANYWAY! This is not the first RC game w/ multiplayer, the art style is a brief new direction based on the comics and there's nothing wrong with it. Plus, this game will also be helping the comics introduce more maturity to the series (swearing, realism in actions, etc.).

They changed the fourth game and onwards for a reason. It's called KEEPING IT FRESH. Had they continued doing exactly what the first six games did, the franchise would've died quicker. This looks great; bright, colourful and nicely designed. I always thought this was going to be a game that would keep players happy whilst development on bigger titles was being done (similar to Quest for Booty).
