I'm not opposed to the death penalty and neither are alot of British people. As for rape laws, the UK only has a 6% conviction rate, which means either 94% women are liars (unlikely as there's such a low success rate for convictions) or most rapists get away with it. Islam prescribes tough punishments for those who are GUILTY, not the abuse of innocents. British law would be fine if the police followed it.

The point about the UK's 6% conviction rate is that it's very difficult to prove rape has occurred under any law in any culture or country. Generally women don't lie about being raped because it's too humiliating going through the investigation process and notoriously difficult to prove.
