i love this mans music!! like most, i first heard of him from the devils rejects(fckn awesome movie) but it is really good music. funny, im also a huge led zeppelin head. fact is, theres not much good music out there anymore. Avenged Sevenfold is also amazingly versitile with their genres within the music.like terry reid, led zeppelin, they also use slide guitars and different works to make it just a lil different.
i have to say that terry and robert have different depths in sound and im glad terry didn't get wrapped in the fame of zeppelin but i regret that he's not as credited in his work as he should be...i love em both so what can i say? terry is a feel good musician..it's better it came out to be
Wow! Stay with a kick ass producer like Micky Most, or join a kick ass band like Led Zeppelin? Terry chose... poorly. This guy should have been more famous than Robert Plant.
eh, not really... he was just a victim of circumstances, I guess. Can you just imagine what Led Zep would have sounded like with Terry at the wheel instead of Robbie? ugh... :)
I had to change the comments to approval only. People were being immature, bickering high school dipshits. I fully agree with you though. It's a shame that he's not known more. He is pure, raw talent, wrapped up in a little tiny man body :)
Thanx a bunch...I know what You mean about all the drama bullshit...Shame people can't be more dignified and keep there opinions harnessed...hahaha..but anyways, THanx for posting Music...Later !!!
This comment is to Terrence "wally" REID, and here goes, I wanna see you and Jackie play TOGETHER/COMBO show soon in the S.Cal VICINITY, okay?? Love and miss you LVE.
You're more than welcome!!! Keep watching, I'm forever uploading new songs. If you really want to listen to some good stuff, listen to his River album. Pure musical perfection for summer. You'll thank me later... especially about Live Life and Things to Try. :)
Back in the 60's after the YardBirds disbanded, Jimmy Page asked Terry Reid to be the new lead singer for the New Yardbirds (Led Zeppelin); but Terry declined Jimmy's offer.
it was more of a management issue... Terry's was dicking him around, so he missed out. Man, that would have changed the course of history, huh? Imagine the possibilities...
In an interview, Terry said he was touring with the Stones and couldn't accept Jimmy Page's offer. He even told Jimmy "YOU tell Keith (Richards) I'm not going (on the tour). So Terry saw Robert Plant and John Bonham in another band and recommended them BOTH. I got this from some Independent Rag interview.
He WAS from England. Moved to California in early 70s and lives there ever since. This album was recorded in 1978 - so yes, it's a very much American album... though his Brit accent will always be there...
Good luck. He did play a few songs from Seed of Memory, but he didn't play this... I was really hoping he would, as it's one of my faves. Oh well. He did play Brave Awakening though... it was AMAZING!?!?! I really hope you have a good time though. Maybe you'll even get to meet him!!! He's such a sweet guy.
You know, I've never seen that movie. How many other times have you seen him live? I've only seen him the one time... but if all goes well, that won't be it. The only complaint I guess I have with the show was that he first played Faith to Arise and then Without Expression. Had he spaced them out just a bit, the show would have been sheer perfection. Oh well... next time right? I girl has to have hope in something :)
Oh where to starts...July, Penny, Something's Gotten Hold Of My Heart... The top of the wish list is Superlungs live as filmed for Bremen TV, Germany,1969, same set as Rich Kid Blues. I know it exists because I heard an audio of it on a bootleg CD Zeppelin Blues - horribly slow tempo, probably a recording error. I know it's pretty much impossible to get.
who was the bassist on this song?

Cool riff - kind of a boozy strut on over to the dancer's pole.
