Firstly, the song was banned in movie theaters after VHP and RSS made a huge fuss about the so called "hidden meaning" of the phrase: "Choli ke peeche kya hain?"

Secondly, the movie itself went to the brink of being banned due to some censor board issues over sensitive topics and violence and all that crap... News papers made a huge issue out of it and in the middle of all this Sanjay Dutt got super popular :)
