  • Got Bauer ice skates for christmas today :P

  • who else expexted the sentence at beginning was continuing like "getting your first pair of ice skates is like having sex the first time"

  • Puttin on skates for the first time and falling on your bum all over the ice another great canadian tradition :D

  • Those Bauer 7000s and the Bauer 8090s were flippin amazing. I wish they still made em. Graf is always going to be superior now though, since bauer moved their production to other countries. I love watching this one and the CCM stick videos

  • Wow todays skates r so much better

  • Hey!!!!! When Bauer actually made their skates in Canada.

  • whenever i watch these vis on how things are made i always wonder........ who makes the machines? o_O

  • I get my skates molded. Totally worth the money, but if you have a kid that plays hockey, don't do it when they're young. when the grow, replacing smaller gear with larger gear that fits their growing body will get expensive.

  • Is it weird that I always found the music to be pleasant during the first few seasons?

  • so thats how bauer make there skates so light

  • omg i used to have those skates

  • It says that they do it with precision.... how does a guy drilling 2 holes in 3 seconds by eye equal precision???

  • How much does it cost to make a pair of skates?

  • When was this filmed? Those skates are really old...

  • @mrnoodle999 2000 i think this is when the 7000 was still marketed as their new top of the line and two years later was replaced by the 8000/8090. so this must have been stock footage between 2000-2003 sometime.

  • i work at a hockey store and everytime i pass a junior Bauer TOTALONE hockey stick i wonder what parent would buy their son or daughter that. a little while after, an 8 year old comes in with their mother to buy one. All I can do is wonder what that kid did to get it...

  • BAUER FTW!!

  • @BAUERHOCKEY17 no ccm

  • now this is all done by children in Asia...

  • i like these skates.

  • bauer have their own machine for their new total one skates

  • hey, those were like my first skates!!

  • only fuckk..

thats fucking awesomee eh :D lol

  • its a right of passage? i never got to ice skate... i never whent through the right of passage! oh noes! haha

  • decent video, would have liked to see a little bit about the blade and holder construction.

  • CCM doesnt make theres like that anymore since they closed the canadian factory. The only brand making their skates by hand are Graf.

  • those are my skates

  • man the bauer 40s are expensive man i still have the 20s

  • thats a really old model, i dont think they are made in that way anylonger.

  • ive got a CCM <3

  • pretty cool, seeing all those people involved kind of validates the $400-500 price tags on those quality of skates.

  • holy shit who went to cyberjocks on sheridan lol

  • I used to wear CCM skates but fell in love with Bauer skates. They perform way better.

  • graf goalie skates are the best

  • I got my new s17 blacks yesterday so good

  • I wear CCM .=]

  • ive got 2 bauers classic..skating's awesome..i wanna get a much bettr skate tho!!!

  • they look so strong there... but my bauers snapped at the sole.. on well they where the best why the lasted

  • I wear bauers XD

  • Me too, Vapor x 40's.

  • y are skate so expensive-_-

  • depends on the amount of quality you want in the skate. You can get some as cheap as $50 and some as expensive as $600

  • Why do you think Einstein?

  • I love CCM skates.

  • im getting se16 or s17 blacks!!!!

  • Bauer skates are where it's at.

  • i dont lik bauer cuz they hurt my feet and they fall apart easy. i use ccm

  • I've not known them to fall apart. But I used to have some old CCM skates that served me well. I've never used anything but a CCM helmet my whole life, good but then again I've nothing to compare it too.

  • if those skates are high end how old is this video. the skates look ancient compared to the composite models today

  • bauer vapor XXIX

  • i have these skates

  • lol same

  • Bauer one 95s are best

    or the new eastons

But every one loves the vapor 40s

  • lol i got the 60X

  • My ice skates are risport rf4 the best brand FIGURE SKATE ;D

  • im twelve and im just starting hockey im getting my first pair of skates today

  • nice

  • Good luck with hockey. Its awesome!!

  • what kind?

  • I got a pair of bauer supreme 105's today abousloutly amasing

  • i used to have thhose skates

  • I'm still using my Bauer 5000's that i've used off and on since 02. Still in great condition and the boot is stiff stiff as hell. Quality skate.

  • yeah not exaclty the same quality any more. The only company making their skates in canada still is Graf. good hand made quality skates.

  • Graf is a Swiss company and most of it's skates are made in Switzerland. Skates for the North American market are made in Canada.

  • Comment removed

  • that was back when the bauerfactory was still in canada... now theyre outsirced their factories to china and thailand

  • i have the same skates that there makeing

  • get Nike quest 2 theyre really good for flexing.

  • Ask the guy at your hockey shop for what skates should suit the type of your foot

  • Get Nikes and good luck at try-outs

  • nike bauer surpreme one95

  • pretty random but they r nice skates lol

  • hey im 14 nd im tryin out for my high school team. Im not tht good of a skater but i can do sum stuff. Can anybody give me an idea of wat skates i should buy

  • make sure they fit properly, (even if ya have to wear thick socks) you'll grow and ya want plenty of use before they're too small, don't spend too much if it's ya first pair, expensive skates won't improve your ability half as much as lots of practice will, good luck kid...

  • bauer 40s

  • get some skate that are really comfortable and fit well. more they cost better they feel but how long will they fit you?

  • practice practice practice, you cant go wrong with bauer! they are always on the cutting edge of skate technology, get them custom rockered once you pick out a pair you like. and dont cheap out. a good skate is essential!

  • Easton Synergy SE. pb777

  • im shopping for a new stick can u guys help me out on which one 2 get? btw im 11 years old but im 5 foot 4...

  • ok def go with a warrior or reebok i have a warrior syko good prive at $150 and i love it perfect flex perfect curve and its really light so ya thats my choices

  • I wouldn't suggest a Reebok only because in my experience they break a lot. I would suggest a warrior or Nike Bauer

  • at 11 years old i wouldnt recommend spending a lot on a stick. Most people would not reap the benefits of a more expensive stick. Look at all your options..wood sticks too. find a stick with a curve that you like and a nice flex and your good..your not going to break many sticks at 11(if any) once you figure out what you like in a stick then you can pick out a easton synergy or tps response etc

  • @skoundrel87 i hate it when i see 9 year olds trying to use warriors and other high end sticks. im like dude i play college hockey and have a cheaper stick than you lol.

  • @hockeyyismylife Agreed. It's the player not the stick.

  • @hockeyyismylife dude seriously! the other day i saw a kid that was no more than 8 years old with an S19!!! and im sitting there with my P.O.S sher-wood like "wtf man!!" lmao!

  • @devilsfan964 lololl called dumb parents.....yea i have a one55 fuck if im going to spend 100+ on a stick

  • @skoundrel87 Your prob just some cheap little fucker. Players young or old can have expensive sticks there better then wood, Inprove your game, And give you a flex point so its better for shooting. Thanks for your tips but most of us have more money then a cheap wooden stick that costs $20 for four of them.

  • @MrCrazyZach lol nice man

  • @MrCrazyZach Actually wooden sticks are more accurate :) too bad expensive sticks can't teach you how to spell improve....

  • @MrCrazyZach

Right. Well, if your kid starts playing guitar, I fully expect you to immediately pick up a three thousand dollar Les Paul. Just pray he or she doesn't ever pick up the violin, an expensive one can run you over five. million. dollars.

    ;)

  • if you're a forward get and easton s17

  • get a wood stick

  • its spelled skates retard

  • now i know why hokey scates cost so much

Lots of work and alot of time!

  • Not as much as they cost in England!

  • how much do they cost in england...

  • It's a supreme 7000, I used to use them.

  • 6500 was a SMU (special make up) model for The Hockey Group. Pretty similar to the Supreme 6000 which came out in 2003.

  • i think its a one10

  • do u guys know which supreme that was... it looked like it said 6500??? is that even a model?? ort is the the 5000 idk looks pretty mean tho....i wasnna see how they make grafs....all hand made is best i guess

  • good advertising for bauer eh?

  • Yep

  • at the end wouldnt they also sharpen the blade?

  • no, as far as I know, the first sharpening is made by in the shop where you buy your skates.

  • yeah i used to work at a sports store that specialized in hockey, the blades for all the skates came unsharpened so we sharpened the skates when ever someone bought a pair

  • WOW

  • thts 2 cold

  • cool
