  • it wasnt too hard on my 94 thunderbird, my dad and I changed it in about 6hours. The hardest part is getting the dash out of the way

  • Its easier to pull the entire engine out of a ford than to change the heater core

  • 0.0 oh my god i probly woulda been like helll no at 1:19

  • OMG, you really made me NOT forward to what I am about to do.

  • I hope that mine NEVER decides to take a puke. Unbelievable amount of work involved. Why the hell do auto manufacturers make these components so hard to change? I change my coolant every 2 years, and have had the car over 10 years now, so I hope that I'm doing the right thing.

  • How much do you think a mechanic should charge for this job (heater core replacement) if you they had the same kind of car?

  • OMG!!!!! are you freakin serious wow! but a very helpful video...thanks im like half way with all this thanks to your help.

  • I hate the fricken heater core design Ford did on this car! I've had mine replaced several times, the last time with a brass unit. I highly recommend this as the replacement so you don't have to do it again real soon. Mine were going out every 6 months for a 2- year period.

  • My brother just did his '95 cougar ( same as T-Bird)

He is now in need of a phsyciatric evaluation and therapy.

(just kidding) But ya, the job is ugly!

Why do they install them like this ??

As if they'll never leak huh!

In this case they should be made of Stanless Steel for lifetime of the car.

    Thanks for your demo.

    Scarry as it it was.

  • I pray to GOD mine never goes out. I change the coolant every 2 years.

  • idk if u would b able 2 help me but my ac wont blow or anything and when i turn it on it cause my rpm drop below normal and the rpm has remain below normal and car shaking bad at idle

  • This is when you loop your Heater core lines and say fuck it.

  • @asleeperj Very good quick fix Idea.

But in Canada I could only drive about 4 months of the year.

Winters here would force you to park it unfortunately.

    Maybe, re-invent it's location ???
