really really easy way to fix this. 1. take off the battery cover. 2 get a small flathead screwdriver. 3. with the phone facing camera side towards you locate the metal piece over the sd card. 4. stick the flathead in the small slot, tip towards the battery. 5. apply a small VERY small amount of pressure down on the screwdriver and bend the tab that holds the battery cover up slighty. 6. replace battery cover. 7. repeat if needed. takes 3 seconds to do.
i have this same problem i just raised the metal clip that hangs over the sd card it works a little better im gonna see if it work but if not then i'll try the paper
what address did you email motorola at? and has the droid ever randomly turned off on you? i'm going to get it since my dare has been turning off randomly.
what i did with my droid was slightly and i mean SLIGHTLY bend the 4 hooks in just a little, you can't even tell by looking at it but it has made all the difference in fit.
That sucks that you gotta mod your cover to stay on. Hopefully it doesn't void your warranty if the paper catches on fire or something.
Hey, does the Droid have the ability to take a call AND do turn-by-turn at the same time? Someone said that Verizon can't do voice and data at the same time.
@winston013 that's a great question which I'll test out some time and (if I remember) get back to you on.
Verizon does not do simultaneous voice and data, but I've heard that the nav pre-downloads some of the data, so you might not get lost if someone calls.
Your sister had the right idea: I would use a small piece of self-adhesive foam/latex on the back of the cover. Just to add some friction when you slide the cover off. If the other options failed, I'd fold a strip of adhesive tape around itself. Kinda ghetto, but it would work.
@evildwarf i was scared any additional foam/latex/plastic might melt because the droid does heat up with graphic intensive games. It only took me 3 sheets to make it fit well, 4 was too much. but yeah, I got a free battery cover replacement =]
