when we invaded iraq, there was no al-qaeda presence there. saddam had no connection to 9/11, osama bin laden, or al qaeda, according the CIA, the special investigative team sent to iraq to look for evidence, and the 9/11 commission. after thousands of man hours spent looking for a connection, US intelligence services have concluded that was no working connection between the two. what we DID do was attract al-qaeda to iraq when we invaded.

Saddam needed to be taken out of power, he was a reckless dictator responsible for the mass murder and torture of many Iraqi civilians. We had every reason to go into Iraq, not just because of the reasonable belief that W.M.D's existed there. I know so many military families, with so many of them having been to Iraq, they've all said that it is and was necessary that we went.

I really doubt you have a point to make here, but I'll answer you anyway.
What does it matter? The specific shots don't seem quite as relevant as the message they seek to convey. On a production note, I did not spend that much time on this, and the next draft I will remove the slight visual inaccuracies, such as battleships and Russian choppers. I lack the capacity to use all video from the war itself, but that's philosophically irrelevant to the fact that such things happened.

Its just a wee bit intellectually dishonest or at the very least hypocritical to demonstrate that the war, or any war for that matter was justified by false information, when that criticism itself is made up of largely false or misleading information. So what does it matter? Truth matters. Accuracy matters. History matters. Your video disrespects all three and defeats the very purpose of what you are trying to do.

Yes, "the war is bad" is an opinion. "Murder is bad" is an opinion. "Stealing is wrong" is an opinion. That doesn't stop it from being an less valid. If you conscience justifies such slaughter, we have such varied belief systems that we aren't even on the same planet.
Either way, there is nothing good or bad about opinion videos (except when they endorse YOUR views, I'm sure.)

Intentions don't matter. Results do. We killed over 500,000 children in Iraq during the '90s, through economic sanctions. Saddam stayed in power. We bombed their country for violating "no-fly zones." Saddam stayed in power. We invaded in force and occupied them for 5 years, resulting in the deaths of about 1,000,000 million people, and the homelessness of another 5,000,000. Iraq is still a mess.
Tell, did the dead and the refugees get to choose? Or just us gods over in America?
