It does work for those of you who cant get it to. He didnt explain it but, you have to push it straight in the 3rd hole and push hard and i mean HARD.. to the point where it feels like youre gonna break something.

i had the same problem and i just cleaned out what dust i could with a q-tip and lubed the tray rails and cam gears with petroleum jelly and it works perfect now, give it a shot people and tell me if it worked for you 2

It's complete fixed now.when you get open put a disk in it click the button to shut at the same time ram the tray in (not to hard) it open every time . Thank fuck for the Internet

This did work for me and I own an Xbox with the sliver tray lip/lid. Thanks! This was my 3rd method to open the tray... I just hope it'll eject again while a disc is IN the tray.... most common thing I been reading is that this happens when the tray is empty.
